I actually have to agree. I'm much more likely to think "A game of battlegrounds would be fun right now," than "I guess I can play some games on ladder." I only play actual hearthstone to complete quests nowadays. Battlegrounds is very laid back and fun. And it's free so that's a plus
Battlegrounds feels like the true main mode right now. Feels like u get an even chance each match as opposed to polarised match ups from normal HS games
Agreed! I haven't played ladder once since Battlegrounds launched. Having a lot of fun with it. Really looking forward to see what new cards they add to the mix, new heroes will be good too. Seems like the new mode is a big hit, it's brought a lot of folks back into HS, or do we now call it BG?
I'm so addicted to BG, but yesterday I had a difficult time and I hope it is not because people have gotten so good at it that im falling behind - I hope it was just a bad RNG day - it was a lot of unlucky matchups. Currently at around 5500 so the matches are getting harder and harder.

Yeah yesterday was also unlucky for me but today it seems normal again. By the way earning mmr getting harder each time I am getting only around 26 mmr at first place .
... and then you realize it all basically comes down to how many junkbots and amalgams you draft...
That's not even remotely true. I've won games without junkbots (just having giant magnetized mechs is enough sometimes) and most of the time a single amalgam is enough to absorb buffs and become an unkillable monster.
Yesterday I switched from Mech to murloc at late game because one of the guys had managerie that had like 5 40/40 minion on board I sold all mechs including upgraded junkbot and bought murlocs gave them divine shield poison and won the game lol.

Giant magnetized mechs... so yeah that's a whole other story, I agree...
BG feels fresh and new every time I play it. I love the fact anyone know is familiar with HS knows the meta and card abilities. Other auto battle games have this as a learning curve. Right now I am more excited for the new cards and heroes coming to BG than HS. As long as Blizzard keeps this mode free and updates it like the other modes. I see BG being a main mode in this game.

Same. I can't tell if I'm overthinking things and making bad decisions or just hit a run of bad luck. I'm still able to hit 1st place finishes at a similar rate, but I find myself getting bounced early and not making top four far more often than the first few days. Maybe people are figuring out the importance of the mid game and I'm getting too greedy...
I like Battlegrounds as well. As a new player it's easier to grind for gold in this gamemode then it is playing ladder. Literally Quest Shaman on rank 20

I found my remedy at last, and now my guiding star is shining; and when my present becomes my past, I realise, that every cloud has a silver lining!
LOL. Battlegrounds is mindless minimal strategy garbage mode. There are like 2 or 3 (hmmm should I be mech or beast this time??) strategies you can win with, and nearly all of the decision making is obvious. I'm already bored with it and doubt I will play it very much anymore. I'm glad it's sparking interest in HS (because God knows it needs it) but once the novelty of this mode wears off, this isn't going to be a mode that stands the test of time, IMO.
I like the game mode a lot. I'm started committing less early and digging for lightfang enforcer when I can afford to, and a successful multi-tribe run definitely, in my experience, yields the best boards that easily beats any single tribe board. Getting +2/+2 or +4/+4 for many turns creates monsters.
Only at 5000 though, not sure if it becomes too greedy at the higher ranks.

Missing lethal since June 2015.

Don't know, as far as I'm concerned, it seems like there's not much room for creativity (if you also want to have a chance to win, that is!)
I love it. The only mode that keep this game alive even Forsen came back to HS
yea its fun but very imbalanced atm hopefully they do a lot of work on that soon
