Yeah basically the question above: What Do you guys think about the Expansion so far?
I am sooo incredibly hyped like never before! Finally some huge powerful dragons and as a wild only Player i believe this will shake up the meta in so many ways!
All I can think is dragons, dragons and even more dragons - im hyped and the new Ysera looks nice even tho it might not be competitive.
It might not be competitive? In what world?
Regardless of whether you play it on turn 9 or any turn after that, with how much draw power Druid has at the moment, the chances of you ending up with a board full of dragons in no time is pretty fricken high.
I think it will more of the same...just few cards will actually be used and the rest will be crap. The new expansion will not change what the meta is now.....dominance of a few classes and you will meet over and over again the same decks after the meta settles...It's been like this for some time now and we still play the game right? Like I said nothing new..
Galakrond decks have the potential to be long term issues. I think they'll be fine until the rotation...but afterwards, we've seen what happens when only a few hero cards are left in the format, and when those hero cards can give you "infinite" value.
Truthfully, I wonder if they rotate them early after the League of EVIL "loses" since he's free for everyone.
That would then create the issue of a large portion of the set being invalidated for cards with the invoke keyword.
Agreed. It would. But there's some precedence with the Even and Odd themed cards.
I think if they were planning to do that again, or even if they only thought it was a strong possibility, they should do us the courtesy of letting us know right now.
It would keep players like you and me from becoming too apprehensive, and it might also spur some budget players into trying these cards since they are bound to get their dust back when the cards go away.

I don't think the Galakronds will present the same problems previous hero cards have. Their hero powers so far are summon 2 1/1 demons, add a lackey to your hand, and add a priest minion to your hand. They're only infinite value in the way Justicar Trueheart was because of how much of their power is in the battlecry. Plus, you have to build your whole deck around them while past hero cards required very little effort to be good.
Edit: Just remembered that all the quests are going to be in standard until Galakrond rotates. All classes will have infinite value in some capacity.

I mean, how is a game like Hearthstone supposed to work differently? There is always a meta and the intention is not to have all 135 cards played.

Indeed.....after a week or 2 the meta has settled and it will be the same boring decks you will encounter....over and over again

Power level feels really high right now. I'm excited for it.

I like dragons!
I like turtles
I agree. It should be quite a shift in the meta and we'll hopefully see new archetypes.
That's a good point. I forgot the quests.
New expansion also implies Evolve leaving standard right?
Count me in.
And I like dragon turtles... Do you have any problem with that? XD
Descent of Dragons looks interesting.
So far, it seems to be more exciting than the two previous expansions, at least for me...
;)
