I would just like to clear things up, I do not feel offended in the slightest as im mainly a control player but at the same time i do respect midrange and aggro decks i dont think they're the devil as most of the community does.

If you don't feel offended in the slightest, why did you use a word as strong as "hate" when talking about this "dilemma", as you call it?
Well this thread was certainly an entertaining read.
tl;dr : Voidlord was and is a great card, and always probably will be. People still can't agree on whether aggro, control or combo are the most evil and insidious of decks and which requires the least IQ to play. People still resort to the standard accusations of lack of intelligence and insanity towards those who dare disagree with their opinion.
Everything is back to normal then. :-) Oh, did I mention there's a new trailer for the next expansion out? ;-)
Right, I enjoy reaching Legend while crushing luck based Aggro decks with heavy Control :)
And it's fun. Not so much, if I do not draw the right cards at the beginning of the game. Cause that's what Aggro is all about: praying for the opponent to not find his answers within the first five turns. It's slightly comparable to gambling. But that's just my impression.
But I have to admit, that the game needs both types of decks to stay healthy: Aggro and Control. A meta full of Control decks would be frustrating too.

Control is like Chess - using your given resources wisely.
Aggro is like Russian Roulette - Hope to topdeck the right card/ hope for the opponent to topdeck the wrong card.
Parallels to the IQ of the players of both games are, of course, coincidental ;)
It goes without saying it's a redundant discussion talking about archetypes and whether they require intelligence or skill. But what's even a bigger waste of time is discussing this topic in terms of ethics and morals. Might as well bring religion into the discussion - as a Christian I favor priest and paladin and whenever I face a warlock I feel bad for them because I know they're sinners.

No, let's not do that. Please don't derail into topics that are highly contentious and little to do with Hearthstone. Thanks.
I play warlock with voidlord a lot and whenever I play it, I just assume its going to be silenced. That one big body with no taunt has a hard time clearing Odd Pally or murloc swarms.

As a science loving metalhead atheist, i favor warlock and whenever i face priest and paladins, i feel bad for them because i know they are ugly and lame as fuck. :p
Which deck takes more skill to play? The one where it takes no skill to plop out Voidcaller into Voidlord, or the one that has to make every perfect play and maximize all damage to have a chance at finding lethal vs. a terrible matchup?
LOL !!!! Since the object is to win the game, obviously the deck that can win the most the fastest way is the smarter deck to play. A "skillful" player would play the high win/fastest deck.

Got to love the classic control players saying aggro is somehow lower IQ. I don’t even play aggro, but I’d never be so juvenile to suggest such a thing. The only low IQ hearthstone players are the ones who think playing one deck type makes you better than players using an opposing deck type. Grow up.
i used the word hate to describe my feelings towards those players that make a moral dilemma out of what type of deck everyone plays.
i dont "hate" the players/type of deck they choose to play i hate that there is a debate over which is considered moral and which is not.
I know, dude, just tell me why do you hate such a thing (the dilemma about which is considered moral and not). It shouldn't be hard for you...
Still waiting for an answer...
Your silence speaks volumes, ItsZoos. Maybe you should have admitted being offended instead of just lying about your feelings. ;)
I mean i thought it was self explanatory but if you insist. I think that its pointless, annoying and an overused excuse to justify control decks being better than aggro decks. Who are we to decide whats fun and what's not, what people enjoy and what they hate. We as a community must accept the different styles of decks this game has to offer and respect those who play them, whether they are aggressive or control, I do believe, as a control player, that aggro decks do require a fair amount of skill to master.
As for your question "why do you hate such a thing (the dilemma about which is considered moral and not)." I just simply find it annoying and a bad excuse to justify that what you choose to play is any better than what others play.

We live in 2019 while this dude lives in 2017!Respect!
Ah, the ancient Control vs. Aggro fanboy-war. Can we close topics that devolve into these downright stupid arguments?
Dad, husband, gamer, fueled by coffee.
Currently playing Dragon Galakrond Priest, Dragon Galakrond Warrior and Highlander Dragon Hunter.

You've never played aggro and it's really showing
I got FAST Legend with Aggro Murloc Paladin before warleader nurf.
And with Pirate warrior, murloc shaman and many more....
so relax ;-)
But I got more with control ;-)

Lol at the idea there is any skill involved to play this. Give me a break. A dead cat can pilot this game.
Except that Ironbeak Owl exists.

Its funny when it works, but don't count on it.
