Hmm, i remember like 2 months ago they said something similar on Omnistone. I believe Kibler tried to buy packs via Firebats link , but it didn’t work.
Basically they were unable to buy packs from each other. So there might be another reason that this doesn’t work properly. ( Small Chinese Company... and stuff)
What exactly is the purpose of affiliate links? To donate money to streamers? I think not.
Affiliate programs are marketing tools. The goal is to invest some money to attract more business. They have a long history of failing for a multitude of reasons.
Neither Blizzard nor streamers/content creators owe the other party anything. Firebat, et al, is free to quit HS for some other game, temporarily or permanently. He is under no contractual agreement. Likewise, Blizzard is free to cancel or suspend any marketing program they deem to be not worth it.
Blind loyalty is not a sound business practice. Something that children will learn when they grow up. And 20-something year old kid who plays video games for a living doesn't have a blanking clue as to how real businesses operate.
If you've ever supported a streamer by clicking their affiliate link to buy packs, I'm sure they were grateful.
You can't do that anymore.
Blizzard no longer supports the content creators who basically provide the company with tons of free advertising.
I will not be surprised when they all move on to other games.
For anyone wondering when the REAL Hearthstone killer would surface, it's been with us all along. It's BLIZZARD.

total destruction, bit by bit
they're like a mental patient without supervision
but i would lie if i said "they don't deserve it"
It's like they want Hearthstone to fail.
Did they give a reason for canceling affiliate links?
I had no idea streamers advertised any packs, other then special promotions every few months.
