I care very little for this deck in the sense of it being too strong. The one card that always makes me doubt that sentiment, instantly, is Mind Control Tech. The funny thing is, Quest Shaman, with the latest addition in Evolve, is a board-centric deck. Only the most AoE-heavy decks, like Warrior and Priest, can beat it without having board presence. Most other decks need board presence to limit the width the Shaman can go, before he Evolves into a board full of 4-cost minions.
In comes Mind Control Turd. It's just not fair. I know you can play around it, but the width that Shaman can get to quickly, requires your own board to battle. In this case, I would much rather have MCT read "If your opponent has 4 or more minions, destroy one at random", than to take control of it. If Quest Shaman loses on board, it should lose, or at the very least, should have major troubles performing a comeback. MCT defeats the core of what the deck should be, and it makes it far too versatile.

This deck has to go. Blizzard really needs to do better testing before they unleash a crock deck like this on the world. It would be fine except the ungodly amount of burst in it. Lifedrinker and Wasp represent a casual 24 damage and with their six or so lackey generators another possible 24. That's ten cards out of thirty that can burst you. Then you get a bounce card on top of that. Deck is extremely safe and extremely unfun to play against.
Youre wrong in my opinion. Adapt to the game and if you’re unable to do that... I’m sorry but that implies low skill. You know exactly what cards are in your opponents deck. How are you not able to build a deck to counter it?

It has fair to good matchups across the board and no particularly exploitable weaknesses to build a deck around (the kind of deck I like a lot - has a chance against everything, similar to Even Warlock back in Boomsday meta, but this one is a little too over tuned). Even if there was some glaring hole in Quest Shaman’s strategy, building a deck specifically to beat it is just asking to get your head smashed in by the rest of the field.
I don’t think Quest Shaman is absurdly broken by any means, and am not one to be opposed to working around things when they take over the metagame (I usually have your attitude towards complaints about decks), but this one is just a little bit too good against almost everything to be acceptable at the moment.
This is my pride and joy Thief Rogue deck I main. True, I cant get past 8 with it but when it works it is so rewarding. Playing quest shaman would be like working at burger king for me. Rather lose more but enjoy the winning more too.
Also, the very ideal of balance is so you don't have to build around the big dogs to have a chance to win. Sure that's fun when splicing a silence or two into every deck is the trend, but it would be better if balance checks hit more often. Someone said that setting the quest to 7.. I think 8 would be more appropriate, but really it's more about buffing the tier 2 and 3's. Adjust a stat or two/ lower a casting cost on two or three cards to nudge them into being competitive. People want more decks in the meta so what is the problem in giving them a little love once theyve proven not to work?
Accurate as it is you are being incredibly short-sighted. The goal of the game isn't just to win win win like we're all competing for Selena Gomez' panties or something. The better goal is having it so we arent all forced to play the same 3 decks that actually work against each other like a bunch of trained monkeys. If you disagree with this you are being cheated because you are playing a game where ONLY 5% OF ITS PRODUCT WORKS!
Would you buy a phone that could only make texts and run solitaire apps and has tinder but not grinder since you are gay in this analogy...? No! You would not. That is what hearthstone is and will continue to be until they decide to balance check more than just 2 times a year...

I wouldn't consider Selena Gomez's panties a 'win'.

Came back today after a 2 month hiatus. Played against battlecry shaman 4 times in a row in rank 18. Lost all 4 matches. My thoughts:
Mind Control Tech is such a fun card to play against. ESPECIALLY on back to back turns.
Lackeys are super fun and totally balanced. Love the randomness when my opponent always gets the one they need and I always get the worst case scenario one. (Great gameplay experience)
This quest is very lame.
Guess I'll come back in another couple months. Probably not...game has turned into a total random shit show of randomness and random effects. MTG Arena is waaaay better. Atleast MTG is fair and not random.
Also, you can do 20 face damage from an empty board with the deck once you hit 10 mana. Hero power, 2-damage lackey x2, weaponized wasp x2. People used to bemoan the force of nature + savage roar combo for 14 damage... but the shaman one can do this straight to your face no matter how many taunt minions you have out. It’s kind of crazy.

It is easy to beat - just need a deck with more heal and kill them before they can shudderwock.

I fully agree with that. It's just the words you used to describe your actions and your usual posts in the forum make you look so... edgy. :P :P :P
"my warstory"
"in the most cruel way possible"
Seriously???
C'mon dude, relax and be yourself, it's like you are trying to show everyone here how much fearless, cool, dark and evil you are all the time... -.-
I'm just trying to help you, that's all. Hope you change your attitude from now on. :)
He's right though. The statistics show that Quest Shaman is both the highest play rate AND win rate in the game from rank 4 onwards. Source - https://www.vicioussyndicate.com/vs-data-reaper-report-144/

Haha my prediction came true. Only degenerates after the Hong Kong ban and the Exodus of people who care about shit, like fun and human rights.

It's just so many lackeys. So many lackeys.
Couldn’t agree more. As cancerous as cancer can be.
Blizzard please stop using drugs and nerf this shit
it's all about cheating everything is cheating it's about who can cheat out the most for the most little mana what else is new?
Dude I tempo kill quest shamans all the time with damn budget homebrew decks. Just kill them before they even complete the quest.
Accurate
Fun > Meta

I thought that you quit. Looks like Blizzard isn't the only one lacking in integrity and spine.
