This deck has to go. Blizzard really needs to do better testing before they unleash a crock deck like this on the world. It would be fine except the ungodly amount of burst in it. Lifedrinker and Wasp represent a casual 24 damage and with their six or so lackey generators another possible 24. That's ten cards out of thirty that can burst you. Then you get a bounce card on top of that. Deck is extremely safe and extremely unfun to play against.
battlecry in general is way too strong, spells on sticks. i've been playing a warlock deck with only battlecry minions and zero spells in the deck for the past months. barely loses at all
The problem right now isn't the Quest itself, but the cards that came back to Standard for the event. Basically, Quest Druid was keeping Quest Shaman in check (at least that's how I see it) and now it gets rekt by N'Zoth, Rez Priest boards and Evolve swing turns, so there are less Quest Druids out there and Quest Shaman is running rampant.
I've been playing a lot of Highlander Secret Pally and it does ok against Shaman. I thi k the frustrating thing is that it's a strong, consistent deck with a layer of potentially godly high roll bullshit layered on top. It probably needs a little bit of tuning, though i dont know what. Evolve going to 2 seems a bit of a random fix given it rotated temporarily, wasp can be played around, and lifedrinker goes in other class decks nicely. Maybe just up the quest requirement to 7 to slow it down a touch?
Anyway, I mainly posted to share this delicious story from 30 min ago. Faced a quest shammy, he RQ on turn 4 after presumably having a bad draw. I already had 4 minions on board and a secret in play ^^
I'm playing highlander paladin right now amd have to disagree with you there. While it is no doubt a very strong deck it's nowhere as consistent as quest shaman.

I've played like 15 matches against quest shaman and lost zero of them. Never even realised the deck was meta, I just thought people played it because it's cheap

I see soooo many complaints about this deck - but it has never been a problem for me.
Best counter shaman quest/evolve deck?

English is not my native language, so, with a high probability, mistakes were made.

Murloc Shaman counters it pretty hard
I was saying quest shaman is consistent :)
Ah, my bad. Here's my warstory of beating a quest shaman (in the most cruel way possible)

Really??? Wow, this is so funny!!! You can't be serious, dude. Tell me you are just joking, please... -.-
True story! Video games are meant to be fun.
(Psssst... Trolling ppl who deserve it is FUN.)
If you can’t beat them...join them :D
indulge us with this deck you speak of :)
I eat quest shamans on breakfast with Highlander hunter and Enrage warrior
Thank you for identifying yourself as a person who brings toxicity to the game.
Deck is fine. the only thing I find OP is the discover spell lackey.
If rather than discover it will be give a random class spell, it will be still strong but more balanced deck.
