Biggest thing killing this game in my opinion is the lack of deck diversity. Prob no way around it, but I'm not salty. I just gave up on caring about laddering. Let's me quit when I face the same deck for the nth time. I'm sure my opponent likes a free win. Everyone is happy.
People who say the game is dying, think they figured out the way Hearthstone could be better, they don't want it to happen, I think neither of us want as we have quite a collection of cards. But what do you do if game is just became a little bit more boring for you

With this statement you are suggesting that nobody is interested in something new, fun, innovative.
I believe you are speaking from your perspective if you aren't interested in something different and new that's totally fine, however alot of people here in this discussion have stated they aren't enjoying hearthstone anymore, looking for something else or already play something else.

The fact that the games mention didn't deliver doesn't prove HS is far from dying. It proves that those games weren't fun or good enough. The fact that these games were popular at release was partly because of the company's behind (you were right in that), the marketing team, and because of alot of people were looking different then Hearthstone.
I got enough evidence to speculate that HS is slowly dying.
1. Slower matchmaking
2. Low viewing numbers on Twitch.
3. Popularity of other ccg on release.
4. The number of people on Hearthpwn who stated: Don't like Hearthstone anymore.
5. The suspicous way of the Hearthstone team to increase the amount of events this season.

Can I prove that Gwent and Artifact were only popular because of their IPs? No, I can't give you a concrete proof of that but you can't deny that the IPs didn't play a massive role in their popularity. To deny so would mean that you're being blissfully ignorant.

1. Completely subjective. I haven't noticed a slower MM and a lot of other people didn't notice it too. Even when I play wild, you know, the ''dead format'' I get a match in under 5 seconds at any time of the day.
2. Views of Twitch don't mean a thing. Even at its prime the numbers on Twitch weren't even a fraction of the global playerbase.
3. Every game is at its most popular on release.

HS has only experienced growth is player numbers. Last year alone it hit a 100 million players, an increase of 30 million in 18 months. Even if you're seriously delusional and believe that a normal player has 5 alt accounts, that would still be an influx of 6 million NEW players 18 months, dwarfing alone the entire playerbase of other digital tcgs combined. If we're even more delusional and say that half of those are bots or some shit, there is still a 2 million player growth.
Now, Twitch used to have what, 40k viewers? Let's take this insanely lowballed number of new players, 2 million, and those Twitch viewers, shall we? That is 2% of the entire newly added playerbase. Keep in mind that we didn't even add the previous playerbase into account.
If you're even more delusional and you claim that HS has 2 million players now, which it doesn't, the Twitch viewership, at its highest, makes for only 2% of the entire playerbase. That is how meaningless Twitch numbers are and why you shouldn't take them into consideration while making a ''HS is dead argument''
There is no proof, whatsoever, that there is a lower playerbase at the moment. HS has experienced nothing except for growth since inception.
Has it been considered that Twitch in itself is the platform losing viewers overall, rather than collating that HS is dieing because there are less viewers on HS streams?

Just because the game is still being played doesn't mean it's not good or can't be better. Don't be allergic to criticism. My biggest gripe with the game is that the current belief is that the game has to be rock/paper/scissors. That control must defeat aggro, that aggro must defeat combo, that combo must defeat control, midrange is dead, etc. Maybe it's rose-tinted glasses but I recall even in metals like Grim Patron Warrior or greedy Reno decks that you could play smart and beat the decks favored against you. That rather than a deck having a 90% win rate vs it's favored prey, it was closer to 60%, so clearly a deck as favored but the other guy had a fighting chance. A polarized meta where the best move is bottom right is bullshit. We've had good metas in the past, why not bring them back?
I think the player base is shrinking and that's why bli$$ard is going so hard with paid content now. Paid Dungeon run, paid portrait in every expansion. This feels like Bli$$ard thinks the game is dying at least.
Well to be honest mtga bitch slapped hs like a truck. It took a huge crowd from it permanently. I and every player that i know has dropped hs completely for mtga. Sure 22 people are nothing for a mathematical or analytical conclusion but you can see a pattern nontheless.
And lol's card game seems pretty good as well.
It has been scientifically proven that most humans overestimate their own common sense. (And stupid people overestimate it to a greater degree than smart ones.) I'll just mention that without further comment.
As for your numbers, they come from a source that has little to do with the number of people actually playing the game. Examining a similar source, I see that YouTube views for some top HS streamers have not dipped at all. Notably, Trump's numbers took a steep dive when he started making Runeterra videos.
And for the last piece, personal experience, I promise you that most of the people you are arguing with have a LOT more personal experience in this area than you do. Obviously I cannot prove that in any meaningful way on the forums, but I assure you it's true, and the experienced people know it.
But most important, in continuing this baseless argument, you are completely ignoring the common sense and experience of others. We all have access to the same numbers, so I guess our common sense and experience are telling us different things.
However, the people arguing against you are using much better sources for their numbers (such as the actual Blizzard financials), so honestly you lost this debate before you even started.

and this hallow's end event bringing back all these cards is just helping it along. Almsot everyone is playing control decks now, and every game takes like 20 minutes. I think so many people have already left the game it is taking me 2 to 3 minutes to even find a match in both standard ranked and casual.
So when Starbucks pushes seasonal brews and non-coffee merch, it means Starbucks thinks coffee is dying?

Also I just got an email from Blizzard about my last month of gaming. I completed a total of 29 quests while the average in the NA region is just 12! That means people can't even bother to come on once every 3 days to clear out quests. They're barely logging on 4 times a month or so and doing 3 quests. Big yikes.

It has always been the case that most Hearthstone players are quite casual, and many don't play every day. For the first year of the game, it was estimated that 75 percent of players never got above Rank 15.

Hs has been 'dying' for years, yet it's still around. You'd think all these people would get tired of being wrong at some point, but no. But of course all of this is pointless, because artifact killed hs ages ago. Maybe one day you'll even be able to find a match in that game
