I honestly don't think any blizzard game will ever 'die' exactly, at least not in a long ass time. I mean people are still playing Warcraft 3 and Starcraft 2 still has tournaments. Even Blizzards least note worthy game Heroes of the Storm just got a new Hero two months ago and is still somewhat supported. Blizzard isn't gonna give up on a cashcow like hearthstone just because a few internet panhandlers on twitch don't want to play the same game everyday for 8 hours a day anymore.
I love how triggered the fanboys get on threads like this. I would post the butthurt cream again and again but ... :p
As the question, no hs is not dying and will not die in the near future. But undoubtably is in a severe decline. The whales will keep the game afloat and blizzard has an army of fanboys who will do eveything in their power to keep their games profitable. The rest of the playerbase has or will either play/spend less or drop it altogether.

Exactly the fanbase of hearthstone is basicly saying: that we (the ones who are losing interest in hs) are not leaving... It doesn't get any weirder than this. It has proven in so many points that people like us are shifting our interest towards other ccg, and that we form a very big part of the hs playerbase. Yet the fanboys keep telling us that we won't leave...
You are saying that eventually only the blizzard fanboys will be playing hs.
I think this outcome is very realistic..

Experimental/hardcore rogue player. If you have any questions, comments, etc about rogues Contact me!
1. Because everyone is watching WoW Classic now. I don't think Blizzard is too upset about that.
2. And the sad truth is that the outrage culture has a very short memory. The long-term effect won't be as drastic as you seem to think.
3. You have considered the game boring for the majority of its existence? The logical conclusion is that you don't speak for most players.
4. Simply a false statement. Some have fully switched, and some are streaming both. But you cannot say that "most" have quit HS.
5. Hearthstone will be able to turn a decent profit for several more years at the very least.
6. Devs have already hinted at sweeping changes, possibly next spring. I don't expect classes getting cut, but major overhauls seem likely.
7. I don't think a Hearthstone 2.0 would do much to reinvigorate the franchise. More likely it would piss off the people who have spent a lot of money on their HS 1.0 collections. Retooling the systems is a much safer bet (and was in the works long before the Blitzchung incident.)
For the second statement. All of the thread seems to ignore the US senate warned blizzard for HK incident. And if the political climate does not change, HK incident can have serious consequenses
It does seem like the game is dying according to this former blizzard employee source. It's worrying at least.
#Actualfacts lol 4chan ''employee'' leaks c'mon what are 12 to still believe 4chan ''leaks''?
Dude, stop once and for all, please... You're not supposed to enlight others all the time. How old are you??? 12??? If someone is naive and/or ignorant, let him/her be... Let him/her live in his/her little bubble... In the end it's better for us. There are a lot of people out there that believes whatever shit they find on the internet and I see others all the time trying really hard to make them see reason (as you do). Is that a joke??? Why don't you just shut up and take advantage of that??? Sorry, but I guess the answer is because you're not as smart as you think you are...
I perfectly know all kind of people are probably going to read this comment, but to those smart enough to ignore all the bullshit random people say from time to time (especially on the internet), this is my message:

Lulchina is like the dude who hears in the radio that there is a lunatic driving in the opposite direction and screams: "A single lunatic? There are thousands retards driving in the opposite direction on this fucking road alone!"
I was a former relatively big spender (probably 350-400/year). I quit playing just after Uldum came out. Now I always said if you don't like it, don't play, and don't bother posting on a HS forum. True to that, I haven't posted since, but I visited today on a whim to see if the new expansion has been announced or not, and so maybe I'll share why I quit.
1. Some of my favourite streamers quit. I realized a large reason I enjoyed hearthstone was watching a few people play who no longer do.
2. I couldn't justify the sinking feeling I always had after opening 150+ packs. It was almost always a letdown.
3. The core mechanics of the game make it so that the game plays similarly regardless of what cards are printed. I think death knights were the last innovation in hearthstone I really felt shook up the game.
4. Nearly every card had become a slight reprint of another, and it felt less and less like I was doing new things, and more like I was doing old things in slightly new ways.
5. I really wanted 2v2 or tournament modes, and they just never came.
6 The single player just felt so repetitive. Worse, it meant I was paying 6 times a year instead of three, and the card packs for the SP came too late, because by then I already had crafted or opened all the useful cards.
7. The Hong Kong incident honestly came right after I already stopped playing, but it makes me feel extra unenthusiastic about going back.
Honestly, if MTG Arena comes to mobile, I might get sucked into another CCG, because I always did love MTG, but otherwise, probably not. Hearthstone was great entertainment for a few years of my life, but instead I'm just playing AAA games a bit more, and I haven't missed it much.
Not whining, and I'm glad people still love this game, but for me, the end came probably around Violet Hold, and i stuck it out for a bit more hoping it was just a phase.

yes it has been slowly dying over the years. But each year hearthstone has less and less players. So sooner or later, probably sooner, it will be gone
cause of death: suicide.
The standard meta is extremely boring to me, but these tavern brawls and new adventures keep me interested at least
Hs should be dead around thousend times now acording to this forum
HS has reported growth with 30 million new accounts

of course thats what they are gonna say, regardless if its true or not.
Right, because Blizzard will make a highly illegal move of manipulating its own stock and lying to shareholders.
This whole thread is made of tinfoil. It's fucking hilarious.

Yeah, that is something inevitable and it will happen sooner or later, but you didn't answer C_A_D's question yet, dude... ;)
At one point in a distand future they will be right tho.
Untill then it is merely a matter of stamina and repeating the doomsaying.
Its like the stock market analists who keep claiming a stock market crash will be imminent.
If hearthstone is dying, maybe I'll have a better chance to finally reach legend. C'mon good players, jump ship already! I want that card back!
