Hearthstone can't balance their game worth crap. They show this time and time again. Let's release tons of interesting cards every expansion but only 3% of them will actually work. Proceed to play the same 3 or 4 decks like mindless robots. If they would be more like League of Legends and do patches every 2 week to adjust what is currently too strong or too weak it would be a better game. But there's no reason to do that. You automotons play the broken decks that work like good little sheep so nothing ever changes.
I disliked the evolve theme for Shaman when it was first introduced then and still dislike it now.
I don't know how strong the deck is with Vessina and Bloodlust because all the Evolve decks I encountered are just regular Quest Shaman with Desert Hare and Evolve.
With my Highlander N'Zoth, the Corruptor Shaman I have 60% (27-18) winrate overall and 71.42% winrate against Evolve Shamans so far.

Feel like LOL is an unfair comparison.
Firstly Balance changes means free dust which sounds good but it is only for the cards that get changed, not for the 3 legionaries you crafted to make the deck work for example.
Secondly in LOL it is easy to just adjust a couple percentage points. You can't do that in Hearthstone.
Thirdly, it takes a while for the meta to adapt. In HS it can often take a few weeks before the meta clouds settle down and all the decks get refined enough. The Dynamics of the hearthstone meta I think is just slightly more complicated than LOL
This is coming from a Mage main who cried themselves to sleep when they nerfed the beautiful deck that was Reno mage into dumpster tier. It was a sad day indeed. So now I am stuck playing Quest mage and Quest rouge because they are fun rather than relegate myself to playing Quest Shaman which I don't enjoy the same.
Yes, quest evolve shaman in standard is busted af right now. I was a wild only player but sometimes i went to standard to get a break from the broken shit that is wild, now with certain cards back in standard from wild. Well it just makes the experience a lot worse. Fuck you blizzard.
I got in to this game with Shaman as my first love, but abandoned it because it just didn't win. I tried Hunter, Paladin, and Rogue and Warrior... and now, finally, I'm back where I've started, full circle.
Quest Druid, Highlander Hunter, Highlander Pally, Combo/Rez Priest, Tempo Rogue, Quest/Murloc/Overload Shaman, Zoo Warlock, N'Zoth/Control Warrior are all playable at the highest ranks. Only Mage is odd man out. Funny low rank players think Flamewaker is OMG OP!!! BLIZZ PLZ!!! but is has a 44% WR which is....real bad....
Meta has some sameness/WTF RNG! problems
All N'Zoth decks feel pretty samey to play against, but I imagine N'Zoth Rogues, and N'Zoth Locs will get bored of losing eventually and go away
Hare + Evolve turn 4 feels toxic AF. Combo Priest with nut draw still feels toxic AF. Flamewaker Mage nut draw is toxic, but that deck will die unless it's WR improves dramatically.
For the most part I think the meta is in a pretty good spot.

^ That guy who hateplays HS cus he loses most his games cus he is too original, cool, and brilliant to play anything that looks close to a netdeck.
note: I'm totally cool with ppl playing their own original meme decks and having fun if they are self-aware. Your experience does not represent the game of HS you are putting unrealistic expectations on the game (that every idiot can throw 30 cards together and succeed without the effort of playing and refining that deck over 100s of games). In the LoL analogy. You play one of the premade characters until you get good enough at them to succeed. You can customize at the edges (Runes/Items) HS is similar. You start with a Netdeck, and you customize at the edges, swap this low WR card with something you think is interesting. I hit Legend with a Magic Carpet in my Quest Shaman for exp. In LoL if you yell "IM NOT A ROBOT!" play a Mid as Jungle, randomize your Items/Runes and LVL 1 solo Drag your gona have a bad time there too.
META UPDATE!!
shaman will crush all of you people on ladder :D. the strongest class in the game by far.
join the shaman party :D

All Hail Shaman Overlords
Shaman master racee
If you refresh this you will see they updated it, secret highlander paladin is t1 with almost no bad match ups.
Leaving something out?
I manage the Epic Tier List and Crafting Guide. Come check it out!
Here are my predictions in The Exhaustive Ashes of Outlands Card Preview.
Paladin means business.
Shaman is top tier, Evolve + Desert Hare pushes it one level over other decks. Good for them, it's been a long time since Shaman is this good.

Haha what? Shaman has been one of the most op classes in the history of hearthstone.

Shaman has not been this powerful since 4 mana 7/7 Midrange Shaman days, that was approximately 3 years ago.

This whole thread makes me chuckle.
