Where are the virtuous? China censors Blacks, gays, trans and even weenie the pooh. They are the biggest polluter in the world, where is saint Greta? And yes the organ harvesting of the undesired.
Lmao nothing is going to happen especially when Americans around the country cheered the blackballing of Colin Kaepernick. Nothing is going to change and people are just gonna go back to playing their video games.

The problem is that many fanboys who grew up playing StarCraft, Diablo and Warcraft games have felt Blizzard has been leaving them for a long time already. D3 auction house, milking old franchises rather than polishing new genres and "do you have phones" to mention a some.
I don't know how many will pull the plug on them, but it is the latest turn in a downward trend.
It is a good thing some Blizzard employees are protesting at least!
All this people saying they will boycott Blizzard, but they will continue to use their phones, laptops, desktops and every other electronic device, shoes, etc. ALL of which were built in China or use Chinese parts and puts money directly in the pockets of the Chinese government shows people don't really care what China does as long as they get their stuff for cheap and everything else is just flavor of the month fake outrage.
We can't defeat, not even make a scratch to a country like China even if all of us (people who play Hearthstone) would join in protest... Are you aware of how powerful is that country??? But we can at least punish a company like Blizzard, that is for sure (those f...king traitors!!!). ;)
Truth be told, this is not something that a bunch of Hearthstone players can do much about.
It would actually take coordinated action by the US and Europe in order to heavily ruin China's growth.
Problem is, even if Trump decided to do it, Europe would just turn it's back and continue to do business as usual.
Europe is just going to bow to China for money and give up on freedom, eventually, of their own citizens, to avoid offending the Chinese Overlords.
Then again, Europe doesn't understand the real meaning of Freedom. It is painfully clear when you realize no one else actually has Freedom of Speech.
Edit: To clarify, by coordinated action, I mean tariffs applied to everything made in China for all these countries, high enough that the sale price would end up higher than the prices for products made internally or simply outside of China. That would be enough of an incentive to get Companies to ditch China and produce elsewhere.

Defending Blizzard has its various ways. Out loud or like this: we can do nothing about it. Another ethics free comment which is sole reason why Blizzard can do what it did in the first place.

We make our world significant through the courage of our questions and the depth of our answers.
If you want to get into the sorrows of the world, there is a LONG list to address before we come to Hong Kong. No amount of crucifying me is going to change that.
So because inequities exist elsewhere, somehow that denegrates what's happening in Hong Kong? What a vile opinion, you seem to lack a basic lack of empathy for human suffering, honestly makes me sick to my stomach people like you exist unironically to spout bile in every direction.
See, this is what I mean when I talk about virtue signaling. Where did I say anything that remotely approaches denegrating a tragedy?
I'm seriously asking, where do you get that impression? I can't imagine how anyone who is even passingly acquainted with the situation would have anything but sympathy for the people actually going through it.
Is it possible to keep the conversation rational at all? "Vile . . . lack of empathy . . . sick to my stomach . . . spout bile in every direction" where is any of this featured?

Helpful Clarification on Forbidden Topics for Hearthstone Forums:
Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
It's so disgusting, i really hope they suffer a lot from this move. i think we should all reinstall the game and the unistall on a spefic day, to make them see what they had lost. i surely will not pay hs or watch tournments, fucking dictatorships
US government officials (both republican and democrat) strongly object this move and investigate the issue
well done, blizz. you might as well get shut down
Not sure if you're from the US or not. More often than not, these congressional "investigations" are PR moves for the congress person without any real bite besides the PR hit for the company - see Facebook earlier this year (last year?).
After reading all of this stupidity I actually went and made an account here just to tell you how irrelevant all of this outrage is.
First off, if you wish to quit the game and everything else Blizz related, fine, by all means do so, I fully support you, but don't delude yourself into thinking that any of your actually matter. If all of you, if the entire Hearthpwn active membership and the reddit membership quit playing Blizzard games it still wouldn't matter because you're such an extreme minority that it is laughable. The majority isn't even online because they aren't as invested into these games as you all are. Go ahead, pad yourself on the back for quitting and thinking that it will make any difference.
Second, Blizzard was in the full right to do this. It is in their rules. Now, you can act like a parrot and repeat popular youtubers by screeching ''the rules are too vague'' but they aren't vague at all. They are vague if you're an illiterate idiot. The rules are as clear as day and they were broken so the punishment is warranted.
Third, the cause doesn't matter. I don't give two flying fucks about what they guy said on stream and what is happening in HK. He has a full right to free speech but this wasn't a platform for it and Blizzard had made that clear. NO MATTER the message, if an owner of the platform says ''you can't do that, I don't want you to be calling for a fucking revolution on my bloody platform'' then you don't do it. There are millions of other places that will welcome you with open arms. If you said ''Fuck Donald Trump'' you'd get banned. If you said ''Fuck the us left'' you'd get banned. The cause doesn't matter.
I see children here acting all edgy and empathetic with ''yes, those are the rules but screw the rules'' which just shows that you have barely any experience when dealing with real life. You don't screw the rules, the rules are meant to be followed and if you decide to break them, willingly, you deserve any and all punishment that is coming to you. For the few of you who are actually employed, please, do go on and bash your bosses or co-workers car door in because they disagree with you on something ''important and noble'' and see how far will screwing the rules get you in real life, idiot children.
In the end, Blizzard is a company and its purpose is to make money. It is all about the money, that is how the world works. Of course that they won't break their ties with China, are you fucking insane? No one in their right mind would that. Did you expect a video game company to side against another country, on another continent, because of their politics? Are you that naive?!
Continue your outrage, the internet will forget it by November when the new games are announced and I'll see you all in December when the new expansion comes along. If you're serious about quitting, fine, let's set up an account, I'll add all of you and we'll see how long will it take before you log into another Blizzard game. My guess is the launch of the next expansion.
Btw Sherman, I seriously can't believe that they are still falling for it ;)
I think most reasonable people recognize that Blitzchung broke the rules, and the Blizzard was allowed punish him the way that they did.
I think the sticking point for reasonable people (and many of the posts in this thread have certainly not been reasonable) is that the punishment was overwhelmingly draconian, especially in light of how Roger and Shaxxy were treated with kids gloves for actually cheating just a few months ago.
To use an in-artful analogy, Blizzard went full death penalty, when probation made more sense.
Blizzard's heavy-handed response (including the caster ban) leads a lot of people to understandably believe that they did not make this decision alone, and instead were influenced/directed by less-savory actors. And that's disconcerting.
I will unistall!
Oh, wait already done
I will reinstall
AND UNISTALL AGAIN!

Source? Because I doubt blizzard actually did anything illegal.
Freedom of speech rip

Uninstalled. Not supporting a game that pardons anti-democracy for the sake of money
Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
Marco Rubio accepted a $3M donation from the NRA. I'm pretty sure his position on human rights (and everything else) is not worth a whole lot.
