if Kibler really had balls, he would stop streaming using electronics made in china. but like i said it's fake outrage where no one is actually going to do anything that will actually affect china in protest. it's easier to act tough and get mad at blizz then it is to actually do something about China. If you really believe China is a human right's abuser but still use Chinese products you are a hypocrite.
You mean boycott and don't buy Chinese products right ? because throwing away a product that you already paid for is stupid and will not effect China at all because they already received payment for it.
All this people saying they will boycott Blizzard, but they will continue to use their phones, laptops, desktops and every other electronic device, shoes, etc. ALL of which were built in China or use Chinese parts and puts money directly in the pockets of the Chinese government shows people don't really care what China does as long as they get their stuff for cheap and everything else is just flavor of the month fake outrage.
What other options are there beside Chinese-made versions of those goods?

Well, by using second-hand devices/clothing/whatever else from now on you won't be paying china anything, technically. So it's a way of sorts.
every1 know that blizzard are pro-chinese orientated .... and of course they will be
blizzard just protect their place on chinese gaming market ... the same place that they wishing soo much to take a place with this diablo immortal bullsh*t
so in conclusion i can say..... everything is about money
Never understand why people feel the need to virtue signal. If you feel strongly about an issue, by all means, let yourself be heard.
But when you get on someone else's case for referring to the issue as "not a big deal" in the clear and obvious context of impact on twitch chat and streamer content, you're just ignoring reality to make yourself feel better about your moral standing.
I'm not in HK. No one I care about beyond one human being to another is in HK. Probably the most direct impact this entire event will have on my life is having to watch Pathra bumble thru another year of GM. If that doesn't qualify as "not a big deal", I don't know what does.
Meanwhile, the idea that we're supposed to fall out of our chairs and leap to action whenever oppression is taking place in the world is ludicrous. Where's your post about Sudan? Turkey? South Africa? Syria? For that matter, if you're American, the death toll on a weekend in Chicago is more noteworthy, so where's the outrage?
I'm sorry the guy got banned; I wish Blizzard would not kow tow that enthusiastically. I am, however, not surprised in the least. Furthermore, if you're calling on a streamer or some third party like that to do something about it, you have to at least be able to make a credible case as to what his/her self-sacrifice could accomplish, and in this case there is no reason to believe any one individual could affect Blizzard policy in the least.

What a despicable comment
The truth is sometimes painful, especially to the rebels without a clue.
a blizzcon event with nobody showing up would totally make my day
they just don't understand the repercussions and ripple effects this'll hopefully have. i'll celebrate their downfall with every action like this
Let's be realistic about this. It won't take long for virtually everyone to completely forget about this. It's not a big deal.
"Not a big deal"??? Is that a joke??? This is 100% authoritarianism!!! People should not forget, people should not forgive!!! >:-(
Correct. Which word did you not understand?
Wait, what??? I'm not here to start a fight, dude, this is serious, so please, be more explicit with your comments and go straight to the point. If I didn't understand something just let me know and be clear about it. I have no time for games... XD

We make our world significant through the courage of our questions and the depth of our answers.

We can't defeat, not even make a scratch to a country like China even if all of us (people who play Hearthstone) would join in protest... Are you aware of how powerful is that country??? But we can at least punish a company like Blizzard, that is for sure (those f...king traitors!!!). ;)

I still can't believe Shadowrisen made such a comment... :(
No idea why blizzard is so dumb to ban this guy from events and competive play for using freedom of speech it’s just sad this is for sure going to cost blizzard money I already uninstalled and will never play a blizzard game again the fact that he also won prize money and blizzard has the audacity to take that is wrong
He should have seen it coming as he broke the rules of the contract. Simple as that.
Casters though... imho they did nothing wrong and should have not be punished.
In fact he saw it coming. He didnt regret it tho , only that punishment also hit the casters.
Imo Kibler said all there is to say . Punishment, of course, they cant let this happen all the time. But the way they acted absolutely stinks (also in comparison how slow, if any , they reacted in other cases).
I know Hog will continute to strawman, but what I said was very limited and straightforward. When I made a comment, the thread was focused on how awful it was for a streamer not to make a stand on this issue. And for all the reasons illustrated above, that's a ridiculous and hypocritical stance to take.
Furthermore, some misguided soul up the thread said something about the Hong Kong issue being the "biggest" issue of a lifetime or some such hyperbole. It's not in the top 5. It's not in the top 10. In the course of a lifetime, I seriously doubt it will make the top 50.
Now, the one thoughtful reply to my post made the reasonable comment that we are on a Blizzard forum, and this is a Blizzard issue, so it's reasonable to comment on this and not the ten thousand other travesties going on in the world. Fair enough, I suppose, but hasn't the boat sailed on that one the second Blizzard ported Hearthstone to the iPhone? Apple's human rights record gets me far more up at arms than Southeast Asian geopolitics.
If you want to get into the sorrows of the world, there is a LONG list to address before we come to Hong Kong. No amount of crucifying me is going to change that.

Helpful Clarification on Forbidden Topics for Hearthstone Forums:
Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
I got really pissed about this too and actually felt bad about my newly bought Chinese phone as well.
The reaction was WAAAY over the top and had the vibe of saying "don't you ever dear to do anything like that again" to anybody having similar thoughts. It was almost like Blizzard handled on behalf of the Chinese government or anticipated what they how they would have handled the situation directly. They could at least tried to make it seem like the same reaction they would do to somebody critizising the Hungarian president or something.
I can't believe how Blizzard could not see this is a very controversal subject, and that the player they slammed the hammer on would get a lot of sympathy around the world. They missed a golden opportunity to make a stand for values like freedom of speech and democracy
It is not even about tournament rules, it is about who is in power. The Olympic Games have a dark history of being abused for political purposes, but still reacted equally out of context to this episode: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1968_Olympics_Black_Power_salute
I am not uninstalling just yet but Blizzard is not getting any more money from me for the foreseable future, if ever.

So because inequities exist elsewhere, somehow that denegrates what's happening in Hong Kong? What a vile opinion, you seem to lack a basic lack of empathy for human suffering, honestly makes me sick to my stomach people like you exist unironically to spout bile in every direction.

When I found out what happened I thought everyone here would be on the same side for the first time, but yeah, I was wrong. :(
The truth is, I came to Hearthpwn just to post: "Avengers... Assemble!!!", but instead I found many joined Thanos army already.
What a shame... :(
