Um yea. Its going to be blown wide open and couple or so metabreakers will surface. It's possible some common decks could even be pushed out but more likely seeing less of them will be people wanting to play the new ones. It's gonna be a blast!
I can't imagine N'zoth doesn't break something, especially with Sylvannas by his side.
Emperor Thaurissan is guaranteed to spawn something new in the combo era, even if it's just a new sort of Miracle Rogue with a new round of Leeroy Jenkins combos.
Avenge will be a push towards aggro Paladin, it's the best secret ever printed.
Flamewaker MIGHT be enough to reintroduce some kind of aggro mage, but I'm most skeptical of that one (of the ones listed here).
Don't imagine Call of the Wild, Mysterious Challenger, and Kun will be anything. Imp Boss is good, but Zoo is not at the moment. And as far as the Shaman stuff, Evolve is a catch 22 because you have a tendency to evolve a bunch of 1-cost stuff (like Thunderhead eles) and low roll into a Doomsayer. Thing From Below is nowhere near as good in this meta without Totem Golem and a playable Flametongue.
So yes, in short, there will be some changes.

Helpful Clarification on Forbidden Topics for Hearthstone Forums:
Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
I'm not sure it will spawn any completely new decks, although Aggro Mage and Secret Paladin can become a lot more viable now. I see them more as additions that will make slightly off-meta decks a lot better. Perfect example is Quest Priest, which will be nutty with N'Zoth, Thaurissan and Lightbomb. We might even see a strong Highlander version at this point.
Most Highlander decks will become stronger, like Mage, Hunter and Paladin. Rogue's 'new' cards will also maybe spawn a better Highlander Thief version. I'm angry at the stuff that Warlock got, and it's going to get pushed out of the meta even more now. And as always, I'm extremely frightened at what Druid's going to do with their cards... Kun will always allow some weird combo to work.

Dad, husband, gamer, fueled by coffee.
Currently playing Dragon Galakrond Priest, Dragon Galakrond Warrior and Highlander Dragon Hunter.
i’m suprised that no one is talking about nzoth shaman with sylvanas, khartut deffender that will be summoned twice by nzoth because of the reborn and shudderwock as a second nzoth
Why would they bring back Mysterious Challenger AND Avenge? Disregard the fact that I'm still in therapy after all these years, but that variation of Secret Paladin must've been one of the most reviled decks in the history of Hearthstone.
It'll make Mummy Paladin more cancerous. Think Sylvannis and Ragnaros will be replacing Endless and Undertakah in those decks. Secret Paladin will be up in the air. Think the meta is currently too aggressive for it to really take off. I can see the majority of decks using Emperor. All Quest druids will be using Kun
So most likely secret paladin is gonna be very strong, silvanas is a card that can easily see play in highlander decks, N'zoth is a card you have to pay atention, emperor and kun both scream combo, maybe we can see some aggro/quest mage, thief rogue will get stronger but i dont think it will be enough, priest could finally reach that critical mass of AoE where a control deck just forms itself, and shaman could get even more unfun evolve decided games.
This is all an opnion but yeah i think they will all see some play and change decks but i am not sure if it will change what you feels when you play ladder that much, you could end up just seing some slight diferent highlander decks, an aoe evolve quest shaman and maybe more combo quest druids
Sylvanas Windrunner is single-handedly going to create havoc! There are going to be so many crazy minion steal situations that occur. Rogue with Necrium Blade and Necrium Vial have potential to be a pain, but Priest with the Reborn shenanigans is going to be stupid.... I will be making a Control Shaman though 100%!
Call of the Wild will just be auto-inserted into Highlander Hunter and will probably become one of the most annoying cards AGAIN!
Ragnaros the Firelord will be inserted into every deck with a weak 8 spot. Basically any Highlander deck will just put him in!
Secret Pally seems like it now again has the tools to be a possibility. Just be happy that they aren't bringing Muster for Battle back. Then we would see some horrible things!
N'Zoth, the Corruptor will make an appearance, but could be too slow to become viable in the meta.
EDIT: Oops, almost forgot the Emperor! Emperor Thaurissan is going to bring in the Combos of course. Think this will make Mecha'Thun a major thing as well as quite a few other OTK possibilities.
We're going to see at least one deck making a return. Such as the priest old OTK with Thaurissan's return and not addressing divine spirit and inner fire, we're definitely going to see a return of the Stormwind Knight in Priest.
I think it will have an impact, but I don't know how great that impact will ultimately be.
I think we probably see some sort of viable tempo mage again. Kibler has shown that the deck has some legs with his Quest variant.
N'Zoth and Sylvanas probably help Priest more than any class because Priest is also getting Lightbomb. But that deck will probably still get absolutely run over in the early game. And it's still incredibly weak to any combos. But maybe it moves out T3/4 into T2.
Kun just goes into the same Druid we are already playing. No change there.
If Hunter plays call of the wild, it's just going into the same Highlander deck we're already playing No change.
I suppose there's a chance for secret paladin. I suspect we might just see Challenger slide into Highlander decks like Subject 9 in hunter. Again, maybe that's enough to get them out of T3/4 into T2.
It doesn't feel like there are enough good totems for Thing from Below to worry me. And I'm not sure you want to play stuff like desert hare in an evolve shaman. But maybe you do. It has always felt to me like Jambre shaman is filled with a lot of subpar stuff. That deck is legit.
I do think Swashburgler is a huge win for Quest Rogue. Again, maybe another deck that leaves the dumpster tiers.
Imp Gang boss isn't saving Zoo. And Imp warlock is still bad.
Bloodhoof Brave is a nice card for Warrior. I don't think you're playing a "Tempo" taunt warrior with Wrynn though. So is Brave better than Hecklebot in Control? ...probably not??? IDK. Wrynn may slide into Highlander and other Aggro Warriors. Is it better than Octosari? Maybe.
It's possible that Emperor opens up some new OTKs. I haven't read of any yet, though.
Curator is weird right now. There aren't really any dragons. Worthwhile Murlocs are class locked. I guess Curator can fetch your Octosari???
tl;dr - I don't think this creates too many "new" archetypes, except for maybe Tempo Mage. I think it strengthens a few weaker ones.
The only deck right now that I can imagine "upending" the metagame would be a spin on Jambre shaman. That deck is already really good, but it's fairly underplayed at the moment.
Or just a wee bit?
Can't wait for the new (old) cards :)

Is there a full list of the 23 cards anywhere?
Mmmmmmm.... Shadowy thoughts.
Short answer: yes
Long answer: yeeeeeeees

What in the fuck are they doing and why?
Im sure the Secret Pally will be back, anyone remember x-mas tree fun :/

also Call of the Wild + Zuljin = value
Nothing wud change much. Battlecry shaman will rule.

Are the 23 cards coming back into standard permanently or for the two-week event? (Or however long the events going to be around) thanks!
For a limited time. Two months I believe
