So I've noticed that the 'Random" keywords don't seem to be random at all. First noticed this with the "Random" murloc spells that are thrown into the decks during the 1st Chapter. When drawn early they will always draw exactly 1 murloc and this also appears to be a small pool of weak murlocs. Then as you get further into a particular match the amount just starts going up almost arbitrarily. I've also noticed that certain boss hero powers that state that they target a random minion, also seem to target the most powerful minion I have on board. I noticed this against a boss that would target a "Random" minion and deal damage to the minion equal to it's attack. I had a board of 4 1/1s or something like that and I had 3 turns where I would play a strong minion with the 4 weaker minions and 3 out of 3 times the stronger minion lived. I still won and have cleared all chapters on both difficulties, but just noticed these outcomes as weird. I found the "Random" murlocs card to be particularly annoying as you could be WAY ahead and then the enemy bosses get a huge "random" swing turn and suddenly they are back in it. I found it has made these runs more tedious then difficult. Anyone else notice this?
Yeah, definitely noticed the murloc thing. Was painfully obvious that as the game goes on more and more powerful murlocs get summoned. I've had a turn one where I drew four of the murloc spell cards in a row and ended up with a board of Murloc Tinyfin's. Was nice to have a nearly full board first turn, but definitely was not random which murlocs were summoned.
On more random thing outside the tomb of terror is whenever u or ur opponent evolves a minion... Mostly it turns out to be legendary or class minion of ur opponents and vice versa..
Yeah, it almost looks like this is how they are trying to extend the game out in certain cases. If you are really ahead, they just start getting crazy good murlocs and lots of them.... And this isn't making it fun to play, it is making it time consuming and tedious.

Yeah, it actually doesn't specify whether it's a random murloc. But it does say a random AMOUNT. Definately doesn't seem random when you never get more than 1 tinyfin in the early game. Just seems to change whenever the game decides the board can't be empty anymore.

This is the way it was designed.
Next time, read the documentation b4 making a silly tread.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.

Except that doesn't fall in line with the 'random' keyword that is mentioned on the card. It's a perfectly reasonable complaint.
Thanks flyspraysandwich! This isn't an RNG complaint as mentioned. This is single player mode so I could care less about that, already beat each mode without a care for the random occurrences.
It was about the word RANDOM on a card that isn't random. But thanks for the support!

That was my point, it is bad design to use a keyword of RANDOM and the effect isn't random.
And this is a Hearthstone adventure, but nice to know you need to read the documentation?

How many people claim it’s impossible to program the RNG to be rigged while also playing a card that scans the board and gives you the “perfect” answer?
I played this game since it launch, and I do think that both players get a "luck" stat when one game start, depending on the win rate on your account. This can be easily told in Arena mode - if you got good results (>10 wins) in several runs, you will got smashed by the RNG. For example I've got a 0-3 run, with me passing first 4 turns, 3 games IN A ROLL, while I drafted my deck with 14 playable 2 and 3 mana minions.
And yes I thought it's very hard to control the RNG effect in game, but guess what? we have Zephyrus now that prove us it's possible.

No one ever claimed it was impossible. Sensible people simply know that Blizzard isn't going to lie about things being random.
For example, Zephrys is actually the opposite of random, and nothing on his card states or implies that there's anything random about his effect.

Me: summons one Murloc Tinyfin
Boss: summons one Murloc Warleader and three Old Murk-Eye

If it was actually random then there would be a thread complaining that their opponent got 7 murlocs on turn 1 and just won the game.
I would rather it be balanced then unfair.
I would agree. I was just stating that the random keyword maybe shouldn't have been used.
But I guess it was a bad thread and I shouldn't have even added it. It is single player content after all.
