Hello, my friends! I'm moon of venus and this is my first thread in this section of HEARTHPWN forum.
As we all know - or at least should know - card games always become boring somehow. There are stronger and weaker decks and you can't perfectly balance things up. But there are some ideas I would like to post here that JUST IN MY OPINION could improve the game and make it fresh, and more enjoyable:
1. New or improved casual mode: As we know, there is no real casual mode in this game. When you play it, you face top netdecks... Boring! We could add another casual mode or change it by rotating avaliable sets. Every week a new... set of sets! This way you can't really use a netdecks and as sets rotate every week, we have a fresh mode all the time.
2. Free arena mode without rewards: Arena is great but sometimes risky. Having limited free arena mode could make you feel the joy again. No rewards for your job but hey... isn't fun more valuable than packs or gold?
3. Just a little bit more rewards in Tavern Brawls: Tavern is a nice but a lot of people just go there to win a free pack. Shouldn't we change that? This mode changes once a week. So let's make 50 gold as reward for one win. A pack for 5 wins and an epic or something for 15/20 wins. You invest time and get something in return. And you don't face the same ranked decks all over again!
4. Tournament mode: Blizzard, please... This is the best way to make people for in love with Hearthstone again. Just imagine... You can create your own tournament. You can ban classes/sets/cards/whatever you want to fight against fresh decks. Or you can FORCE a card to be in every deck. You want to make a tournament with Deathwing as the "main star"? Just make a rule that everybody MUST use him and let's see who can create the best decks. Fun, right?
I hope we can talk about it and that you guys will post here your own ideas. Cheers!
I love these ideas! I got so bored playing the same decks constantly on ladder, I mostly only play casual, both wild and standard. I like fun decks, and because you are right, I still face top tier net decks, I don't have a favorable win rate most times. But the difference is if I don't want to play against that deck, I can concede, no big deal.
I look forward to tavern brawls for something different, and it's 50/50. Some, I'll replay over and over and some are just Meh.
I like all the ideas, except for number 2; that's just stupid. I'm sorry, but it is. You'll have tons of people just playing that for their whole life, without spending a dime. It's impossible to live off a free product for a company.
Tournament mode is one thing I was very sad about not being worked on at all. Like you said, it's the perfect way for people to fall in love with the game again. Overwatch implemented Forge, which is similar to the options you listed. I'm unsure about how much it's being played, so that could be a reason why companies hold back on such a thing. In reality, people like the feeling of winning in a competitive environment, so on Overwatch, it was back to competitive not too long after Forge was released.

Mostly I like this. There are so many possibilities. Only thing to keep in mind maybe is some internal ranking system or league so rank 20 people don't get matched up with legend rank people. If you create a tournament where random people can join that is.
1. I don't think they should change Casual at all, but I do think they should have a new mode, something like a "Seasons" mode. Where they choose a particular season and you can go back and play with only those cards that were available in that particular season. Think it would change the game a bit and could be nice for nostalgic gamers and new players as well.
2. I (kind of) love this idea. On one end, people like Arena, but sometimes they don't have the gold to play it which could make them less likely to log in and play Hearthstone. This would certainly solve that! On the other hand, this would cause Blizzard to have 2 separate Arena modes because you can't have the paying players against non-playing players. This is obviously because the non-paying players are FAR more likely to just concede and give the paying players better rewards.
3.I like the pack per tavern brawl. Personally, depending on the brawl, I would NOT want to play 3 or 4 games let alone 15 to 20! A pack for a win. Seems good to me.
4. This I'm sure Blizzard will implement and I'm pretty sure they have stated that they are already working on this.
EDIT: Ahhh, apparently Tournament Mode was cancelled. Oh well....
2. Free arena mode without rewards: Arena is great but sometimes risky. Having limited free arena mode could make you feel the joy again. No rewards for your job but hey... isn't fun more valuable than packs or gold?

And you don't face the same ranked decks all over again!
I would say point 3 explains why point 2 probably wouldnt work. We already have a "fun and free" mode, in Tavern Brawl. Arena is aggravating at best, but you get a reward for your trouble. Having a free option likely wouldnt see much play beyond the first week if that.
The biggest issue with free arena mode is you're only going to face ridiculous decks. Without an entry fee or rewards there's zero incentive to play out any deck that's not a top tier arena deck.
we need new game modes... standard, wild, brawl and arena are the only modes now... there needs to be a gamemode where you can create your own rules... decks with 100+ cards, only common cards, a new format consisting of several different sets... something customizable...

Most of this is just another thread begging for more free rewards or free content.
The one thing that isn't (tournament mode) is not even a new idea; it's just wishful thinking about an idea that has already failed to be realized.
yes. imagine getting a free single player mode, like the ones we had since KOTFT.
them starting to monetize the Dungeon Run concept, since it is the best single player content ever released in this game, is just another dirty way to get into the players pockets.
players don't want free content and cheap rewards, players just want a good game.
This game will be better when they stop scamming players by nerfing decks intentionally developed to be broken, making ur dust or real life money a waste, since u will always lost the meta deck to another bullshit after nerf...if this is the way they are trying to achieve more players or bring fun and variety , this is the reaaaaaally wrong way... Nerfs are not solution, bullshit development it's not players fault. They should be sued by making this, it should have cyber laws to this kind of stuff...
What this game really needs is guilds so you can host or join one where certain cards/decks are banned in certain guilds. Its not only for the memers: a guild could be called "Control Warrior Colliseum" and be strictly for people in the mood for an hour long + greed fiesta.
It could be easily organized by having the owner promote moderators and when they log in get to scan over submitted decks to play in thier guild and approve or deny them. There would be enough demand for this that queues would not be long. Especially if there was some kind of ranking system within guild to make them more competitive.

They already canceld a Tournement mode ones,I'm sure there are very good reasons for it
what about a ranked tavern brawl mode?
I'd like to see a permanent standard arena. Basically the tavern brawl we had at the start of the expansion but as a permanent mode.
Ladder is unrewarding to play for the most part, and arena is stupid.
