Play wild, accept a low winrate while playing meme decks and embrace the thousands of hillarious ways to kill your opponent. It's what makes HS fun for me when the meta gets boring.
The meta isn't stale. If you think it is, it's possible that the way you are playing is stale.
The number of viable archetypes in the meta right now is staggering. I seriously doubt these complainers have tried even a fraction of them.
I always love coming to the forums to hear fanboys defend this shit. It’s always the players fault when they point out something has become boring and/or broken as fuck.
You know when the game was fun? Pre format split. Instead of maintaining a well balanced game by giving cards the attention they needed after each expansion, the devs became lazy and decided to just HOF and dump cards into Wild which BTW, has become just as stale as standard.
I created a deck with a bunch of old Rogue cards to bring back some of the fun from the old days and it just doesn’t stand a chance because of the power creep and the decks that have been pigeonholed because just like standard, only a handful of decks win. Even in Wild where you would think you would see this plethora of creativity, you’re still getting Odd Paladins and Mech Hunters and Druid’s who stall until Mechathun. Not a single meme deck to be found. Just leftover netdecks from recent history.
Really, fuck this game. The only reason I play it now and then is to scratch the itch and even then it’s boring as shit.

I agree this is the best set, but imo releasing cards during expansion is kinda no need. I mean yeah we have four months to play that flavor and things change again. Im ok with that. Its not a big problem when a meta settles, especially this one.

-100 points for use of "fanboy" ad hominem.
Or you could just make an actual counterpoint. But then by looking at your posting history, all you do is white knight for the game. I guess I hit a nerve.

So quit playing, and please quit posting about it. Everyone will be much happier, especially you. You obviously need an extended break.
I was fed up with the game during Witchwood, and that's exactly what I did. What i did NOT do was rant about my feelings on the forums after I quit. I just put it all behind me.
Eventually, the DKs I had grown so sick of rotated out, as well as the early HoF for Genn and Baku. I noticed a news item about that, and I gave the game another try, and now I'm having a pretty good time, give or take a Boom.
So stop scratching the itch. Just find something else to do. If they someday make changes that suit you, you can give it another try. Until then, peace out.

I am having fun trying new decks with the cards I have. I am not dominating the ladder, but I'm having fun. I just made it to Rank 15 Standard with a Big Warlock deck that I cobbled together.
No, you're not going to cruise to legend with a homebrew deck. Yes, you can have fun with your experiments.

I’ll post what I want when I want and there are two things you’re going to do about it: Nothing and like it.
This is post #2 quoting me and not giving me any counter points. So I’m saying something right.
The meta isn't stale. If you think it is, it's possible that the way you are playing is stale.
The number of viable archetypes in the meta right now is staggering. I seriously doubt these complainers have tried even a fraction of them.

Really, fuck this game. The only reason I play it now and then is to scratch the itch and even then it’s boring as shit.
Why play something you find so utterly "boring" and non-fun? That appears to be extremely counter-productive. And worse yet, if you only play it so vaguely ever, why come to a forum dedicated to said game, that is populated by users who do actually enjoy the game and find it fun, only to slander the game in their faces and expect to be taken seriously? It seems like you are only looking for a negative reaction (also known as trolling), rather than a counterpoint in fairness.
But to address at least one of your points:
You know when the game was fun? Pre format split. Instead of maintaining a well balanced game by giving cards the attention they needed after each expansion, the devs became lazy and decided to just HOF and dump cards into Wild which BTW, has become just as stale as standard.
I created a deck with a bunch of old Rogue cards to bring back some of the fun from the old days and it just doesn’t stand a chance because of the power creep and the decks that have been pigeonholed because just like standard, only a handful of decks win. These two statements are completely at odds with each other. Your first paragraph states that the game was best before the split, when the whole game was essentially "Wild" mode, because all cards were available. Your next paragraph then goes on to complain that you went to Wild mode (which you previously said was the better experience for you) and couldn't win anything because of "power creep" (which is also known as game progression; you can't expect to make an old deck with cards which used to be good and for it to beat decks in the new meta). So your second statement counters the first one, essentially: "Pre-Split Mode (or "Wild") is when the game was best, but when I played Wild mode, I didn't automatically win with a deck that was good 3 years ago, so the game must now suck because of 'power creep' ".
Not only that, but you also complain that there are no meme decks in Wild, right after complaining about Druid Meca'thun, one of the biggest meme decks out there. Not to mention the fact that Wild is the biggest meme-centric mode we have, currently.
Sorry if that comes across a little harshly at all - though you haven't really left a lot of room for discussion in your post, even though you have been requesting it.
I am feeling that although there is a good variety of decks right now, the matchups are not as interesting as they have been in previous formats. I'm still enjoying playing but less so than previously. I am one of the few who actually enjoyed the Genn/Baku meta because despite the high power level, everything was so jacked that you still had quite a balanced game, however limitation of future card design did mean they had to go regardless. Even Warlock made this format because it had interesting matchups across the board and 50/50 win rate against most decks, meaning you could climb the ladder with it easily because people had to rely on their ability in game instead of queuing a counter deck. I'd like to see more decks like this in the future that don't dominate anything particularly hard but don't have any matchups below 45%. Decks like these are good for ladder as they force players to make correct decisions in game rather than just queue the best deck for the local meta. We have Aggro Warrior at the moment which sort of fits the bill but its playstyle is a lot more one dimensional and it gets tired after a few games.
It has been a long time since all classes have at least one viable deck and some have more. Win rates are really close. Agreed, maybe rogue and warlock only fill a niche to target specific classes, but they aren't bad.
I don't think it will get more balanced than this and all classes/types are played. If that is too stale for you, better quit and play something else.
Apart from priest being a little too strong and really annoying to play against, the meta is fine for me. Lots of different decks, lots of different classes. Things are still being discovered, notably that Quest Hunter is actually a decent tier 2 deck recently.

To "address the points" a bit more...
You complain that a deck comprising of the old cards (mostly? only?) doesn't stand a chance vs the decks that are built by the whole pool? (or just the new cards?) Because if you're saying that the "standard" cards are stronger than the old ones, that is simply not true. There were cards of great power back then, and there are such cards now. A bunch of Wild decks would easily crush today's Standard meta.
If you're only trying to use cards from a certain limited period in history, then yes, you're probably not going to build a top power deck. But why would you limit yourself like that if your intention is to build a powerful deck?
And that brings me to an interesting point - are you basically complaining about not being able to win with a meme deck? (you have something against people playing competitive decks and not meeting enough of meme decks on the ladder) What is your goal in HS actually? What type of player are you? (Timmy, Spike or Johnny?) Cause, correct me if I'm wrong, but you sure sound like either a Spike who refuses to use competitive stuff, or more likely a Timmy/Johnny who cares about his win rate a little bit too much, and both are just recipes for frustration.
Also, I guess personal experiences can vary, as I just went R9->R5 in Wild, and encountered exactly 1 Odd Paladin, 1 Mech Hunter and 0 Mecha'Thun Druids. I also met only a couple of Secret Mages (~3-4), which is not bad considering that they are supposedly flooding the ladder. The Barnes nerf seems to have reduced the number of Big Priests a little bit too, which is awesome. Basically, what I did encounter is pretty much a bunch of different decks, half of which I had no clue what they were doing until we were halfway through the game, and some of them creating some very funny situations (my last wild game, a Priest filled my deck with Hakkar's Corrupted Blood (I had literally nothing else in the deck), but he couldn't kill my Mal'Ganis, so the game went on in some weird directions :))
In other words, Wild feels awesome to me. If neither Standard or Wild work for you, maybe it's really best to take a break from HS.
Or you could just make an actual counterpoint. But then by looking at your posting history, all you do is white knight for the game. I guess I hit a nerve.

Yeah the last VS report showed priest at almost 20% play in legend. So it's definitely the core of the meta right now. And with it's suffocating play style it gets annoying. I've lost to quest hunter the few times I've played it, seems like it has some reasonable matchups.
