Lmao some people here trying to make excuses for the shitty AI. Zephrys has fucked me over as well several times, most noteworthy example being not offering shadow word death when opponent has Antonidas on board. It's one of those cards that if it's not immediately removed on your next turn, you will basically lose the game from there, similar to Ragnaros.
people in this thread already explained, how to use Zephrys. zephrys didn't let me down once, so it's probably your fault
Ehh! I just played against a Priest who Seanced his Zephrys the Greattwice and still didn't manage to do anything useful with it. Honestly, I think some players just play this card and think: It's going to give me something that will win me the game, for sure! (Even when it's turn 4 and both heroes are at full life! XD )
With great power comes great requirement to know how to utilise it....
I was just today in a situation where I wanted to set up a two turn lethal. Was playing Tempo rogue against a quest shaman and he had a full board (not small minions that a lighning storm would kill), I attacked face w everything on board and played out some things so I would have 3 mana after playing zeprhys in hope he would give me frost nova. Weeeeell he offered me garbage junk sh*t- gorehowl, cabal shadow priest and something else...

Pardon me for not dredging through this myriad of insipid horseshit. Then, could you explain how it's "my fault" that Zephrys ignores the deadly threat of Archmage Antonidas by not offering removal when I have mana to spend and there was no bigger threat on the board?
Could it be A POSSIBILITY that maybe Blizzard overlooked this one little tidbit while coding the card, making Zephrys treat Antonidas only as a 5/7, without taking into consideration its effect? No no, that is not possible. The infallible geniuses coding the AI at Blizzard would NEVER in a million years make such a grave oversight!

this is actually the reason the card is broken and shouldn't exist: It does anything else than OTK or save your ass in desperate situation.
There´s nothing to practise with this card. I tried out 3 or 4 games against inkeeper with different classes. It was may not always the card I expectet, but always a card which helped for the respective situation. There is a taunt? I got earthshock or Black Knight. Opponent got a bigger board? I got Flamestrike for my next turn... So I don´t know what people are complaining about. It is a rng-card after all. So nobody has to complain if he doesn´t get the card he want to have. Still too much and too good card imo. And it feel very bad to play against. This is what I don´t like. This card is annoying if you play against it and boring if you play it by yourselft imo.
Someone tell me if this was a misplay by me or Zep.
Turn 1 opponent drops a Northshire.
Turn 2 I drop Zep hoping for a silence since I had zero mana. Didn't get one offered.
AI doesn't see a 1/3 as much of a threat, and you're not in danger of lethal. And neither minion has damage, so no need to worry about healing. So, no, seems perfectly reasonable that the AI would give you something for the next turn. I would expect to see an Animal Companion or Wild Growth or something like that.
I somehow managed to lose my last game where I played Zephrys, simply because I have fat thumbs, was playing on my mobile and misclicked and took the Big Game Hunter instead of the Twisting Nether and the other big minion ate my face.... That was completely my fault of course. Sigh... it's not always an auto-win... :-P
Let's cut the ad hominems and insults towards people's mental health, etc, please guys.
Keep it civil, yo!
Ta!

I've noticed Zephrys just basically ignores deathrattle minions, even when there's a perfect reason to just offer Silence.
keep in mind they had to teach him how Doomsayer works.
I tried having fun once. It was awful.
I am shocked about people that complain how this card doesn't make them win rather than realize how cancer is for the game.
You are not winning for your skill, you are winning because AI cheating your deck.
And it's not even gamble like was with yogg, it's a help you couldn't even use cause 99% it's another class card.
Everybody put Zephyrs in their deck should be ashamed.

The hole card is trash. ;-)
Misplay by u. U should always play him considering the mana left to play u basically force zephyr to give u BGH

Practice more.

No it isn't. It works to an algorithm and it is consistent - There is nothing random about it.
Well, the player's ability to utilise it correctly is pretty random. /kappa :-P
