i've never actually tracked the numbers but it seems to me that 1 in about every 6 games matches me to a person that will end every turn just before the bomb goes off. I know some people have connection issues, but do people actually try to fish a concede out by boring their opponents? The most frustrating part of this is that i generally just play casual mode, so my interpretation is that people there are more likely to just give up and start a new game because there's no real down side. If these people even exist (and its not just bad connections) im not crying "cheater", im just curious about why a person would even play the game if they're just farming a resource that, with respect to their strategy, is essentially meaningless.
Is there anyone else that suspects this is happening to them too?
There's no way it happens to me as frequently as 1 in 6 games, but I would agree that it happens more often in casual than opposed to ranked, probably for the reason you describe.
It happens on occasion? And I know that it isn't a connection issue as they play close to the rope every...single....turn. As far as using it for strategy/force a concede, I'd like to think nobody has that much patience. but you never know

I usually play hs when I eat breakfast in the morning before work. I usually clean up/ do dishes during my opponents turn . sometimes I accidentally rope folks when their turn goes quicker than I expect, and I'm washing a plate or something .
If folks are roping every turn, it doesn't bother me .I'm usually doing something else while playing anyway lol .
When I'm learning a new deck I sometimes play a few casual games and will rope some turns because I'm looking over the options, or mapping out a gameplan. And then I start to feel bad if I do it a few turns in a row. When you face something like murloc paladin and rope a coin into lens you know it's a troll.
If you happen to be playing versus a streamer, they usually go through and explain all of their potential moves to their viewers which usually causes them to rope their opponent. This is probably a very rare case, but it could be one of the reasons.
My response to this question is that it's not worth worrying about.
You will never know the answer because there are many possible answers, but ultimately the turns are short enough that there is no reason to be bothered by it.

It happens in ranked in casual in arena in brawl. Don’t tell me people have “bad internet “ that’s just giving them fucking out. People start a match slow will play slow until they are winning then they speed up. Or they are winning and grind to a hault. The rope needs to go faster. Or give them a handicap for next few turns it is a tournament on ladder or casual.
I don't think this is quantifiable without input from the community.
Move played matches where I barely spend 30 seconds on my turn, while others have seen me working turns out until the end of the rope 7-10 turns in a row.
Other times, I've faced people who only started roping once they were in a losing position, where before they were timely in their turns and playing decks that don't usually require a lot of time to work plays out.
It's a case-by-case thing, but it is a real thing people do intentionally from time to time.

This is why hearthstone losing people. People doing something else while playing. Makes no fucking sense to play hs then if u r playing a different game go play that game since ur attention is mostly there.

Time to time huh 👌 if u say So I gonna ROPE every one Because it only happens Time to time. You’re so full shit I can smell coming out of ur mouth.
I would definitely say I get roped far more often than most, to the point I almost considered making a compilation video of all the ropes as a "Is this the current state of Hearthstone?"
and the only tilting part of it is when you see them highlighting cards... or you're just like "it's turn two, you're just going to hero power and end turn." and then they hero power and end turn before rope ends...
Or they play out all of their mana fast and early and sit there until rope... If you're going to BM at least put some effort to behind it imo.
Its more or less because i can play sub tier 3 decks and not have to face a cycle of the same 4-5 meta leading decks. I started playing casual to be able to do the 30 class card quests in a single game while also having a shot at winning
If spending a minute and 15 seconds to take their full turn is the worst thing anyone does to you in a day, you've probably had a pretty good day by most standards.

For all you know the only joy in my day is having enough time for 2 games of hearthstone between my shifts in the salt mine and coal mine... 1.250 games is still better than cancer of the eyes, i guess.
Alright, ya cheered me up

I usualy watch something else while playing HS. So i rope when i can.
I'm the opposite. I'm also usually watching something else, but I'm not an asshole so I don't rope people for no reason.

they are prob some proplayer wannabe that watch GMs and think they should rope like those players lmao

Roping against person who plays CW/BW in Casual sounds like a statement. If you have decent deck to play ranked why bore other people in Casual?

A-hole's rope as a strat. That's all there is to it.
