Just started playing a bit of Quest Shaman and holy crap the burst this deck is capable of is off the charts. Generate a few Kobold Lackeys and save them for a double battlecry Barista Lynchen and just revel in the ridiculous amount of damage you can shoot off at your opponent’s face next turn. I’ve recently played vs a Control Warrior and finished the game with 25 burst from hand by playing out -
Hero power, 3x Kobold Lackey, Barista Lynchen. Used this turn to clear his 8/4 and 5/6 as I was on 11. Then followed up with -
Had I not been low on life I could have directed the 12 damage from the first turn at his face as well for 37 over 2 turns.
I think the theoretical maximum in a single turn is Hero Power, 6x Kobold Lackey, Coin, Weaponised Wasp for exactly 30 but in any case just generating a couple of Kobold Lackeys and keeping them for later in control matchups when you have Quest completed and Barista available is usually game ending damage. Really enjoying this deck since I realised it could do this and I reckon it’s a strong shout for best deck overall right now when played correctly.
Idk if it's a problem... However I don't think it's healthy for the game to give an agro/tempo deck this much value. It doesn't leave much room for design space of the next year+ before the Quest rotates out.
And at OP, I've been on the losing end of those kind of hirolls more than I care to admit. Swamp thing with lava burst and lightning bolt spells and a kobold lackey for 20 damage from hand off RNG. Feels great

Well, in fact, the theoretical maximum (I think) is Hero Power + 7 Kobold Lackeys 28 damage + board clear with Beakered Lightning + the final Lackey for 32 damage. But that's assuming you managed to somehow God-RnG your way to collecting that many of them during the game.
:-) But yeah, the potential burst is pretty crazy.

Agreed here. Every single battlecry minion needs to be carefully balanced before this quest rotates or we are going to have some big issues here. Considering the history of the dev team and the design philosophy in general, I don't think they will worry about it too much until after it becomes an issue, if it does.
Just take Wild as an example. There are alot of battlecry minions in Wild and you can do some pretty crazy things there with double battlecry effects. It's just that the power level in Wild is so high, that Even Shaman is probably just better in general.
Though admittedly, I havent kept up to date on which Wild decks are doing well these days. I just know that Priest is still a problem, even with the Barnes nerf.

It is a great deck, but I hope you realize that you highrolled pretty extremely in getting that many Kobolds.

That’s the type of highroll that tilts me so much I need to log off....

I have a hard enough time rolling 1 kobold lackey, let alone 6.
Quest Shaman is disgusting because of mutate allowing insane early game moves (RNG idiocy) and MC Tech (worst card ever printed.)
If MC Tech was gone it wouldn't be nearly as powerful as it is now.
