Mage is indisputably dead in my opinion (mostly because it's good matchup against warrior is gone, and it is now weaker to aggro), but if you think Boom was the only reason warrior was good, you just haven't been paying attention.
LOL to all the people thinking that Warrior will not be affected by the changes.
Dr Boom + shield slam is now a turn 10 play.
Dr Boring + mechs having rush is now a (from turn 10 play)
Dr Boom + Hero power on the same turn no longer available(to gain 7 armor or discover a mech that has rush the following turn)
Dr Boom kept on Mulligan, no longer a play. From statistics gathered in various sites, CW was keeping a 7 mana card on his opening card (which is ridiculously stupid in my opinion but proves how strong was the card to be kept in a game were tempo is everything-after rng. The gain of 7 armor on turn 7 + mechs having rush from turn 8, was more than strong enough to overcome the tempo loss on playing a card with no effect on board).
I really don’t think either class will be hurt significantly. Cyclone mage was good before the Luna’s buff and crapped all over warrior, and now it will be easier for them to with boom nerfed to 9 mana. On the flip side warrior could wreck aggro without ever playing boom. Anyone who thinks these decks will disappear is going to be disappointed in a week.
with any luck these nerfs will make enough of a difference to give some other decks a shot, but I don’t think the issue was warriors was appropriately addressed
Blizzard likes to talk about class identity but somehow warrior has the best control deck and now has a very powerful aggro deck which only loses to warrior itself. So funny. And this mana nerf wont do shit because it is still broken, warrior still has a shit ton of op removals and can nicely curve into armagadillo into the 8 mana taunt and then dr. broken. Someone at blizz really likes warrior.
OP implying Warrior having Dr. Boom 2 turns later will make the deck "unplayable" and lose to aggro lmao. They have the best 1 drops to deal with early aggro Town Crier, Eternium Rover very easy board clears with Dyn-o-matic, Warpath, Brawl, Supercollider etc. Unfortunately our Warrior overlords are here to stay and will most likely still be high Tier 1.
Mage got gutted though lol was not expecting Pocket Galaxy to go back to the same mana cost it was originally maybe put go 6 but going back to 7 is insane and too much of a tempo loss that late in the game, guess I'll be getting my 1600 dust back xD. Great nerf on Conjurer's Calling though, Mage won't have ridiculously early powerplays of generating 16/16 worth of stats then the following turn Alexstrasza you for (1).
No more Priest just curving out into turn 1 Cleric, Turn 2 Extra Arms or just using Extra Arms for insane value I believe it just won't see play again being too slow at 3 mana. Not a bad nerf but kinda unnecessary Priest is barely keeping in Tier 1 atm and has pretty varied winrates.
Barnes nerf kinda just doesn't do anything most Big Priests don't even rely on it over Shadow Essence in Wild. Doesn't stop the fact that Archmage Vargoth kinda pushes that deck over the top and Priest just keeps getting nonstop resurrect or insane board removal cards every expansion.
Dr Boom costing 9 mana means aggro decks will rise from the dead and make Warrior suffer :D. !!
Mage is in trouble because the archetype is now dead.
RIP
I disagree. Both will still be viable, the landscape will just be different.
If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
Warrior still has the tools to deal with aggro decks. Warpath, Brawl, Dyn-o-matic etc.
OP waiting for Rise of the Trolls x-pac.
both will be fine... warrior will lose 3-5% win rate but since it was high % win rate from the start it will still be 1 of the top decks
mage will be a top T2 deck
Mage will be hurting quite a bit, Warrior will be just fine.

Warrior is fine. Nothing really changes. Mage on the other hand.. aww poor Jaina and right as the GM's are starting.
Warrior win rate will actually increase because Mage will be much less powerful.

Mage was barely alive to begin with. Deck wasn't tier 1, it didnt have the highest win rate. People just found it annoying to play against.
Amazingly, every single player brought it to the first week of GM's. I guess you know something those Grand Masters don't.
LMAO

Clearly the dev's favorite card of all time is Omega Devastator.
I HOPE that all people that crafted control or bomb warrior feel fucked. Fuck you! Deal with it noobs!
The mage nerf was too harsh, it's going to struggle now. Should of nerfed 1 card not both

Warrior imo gonna be lower T1 / High Tier2.
Newly appeared Singleton Mage is going to be seen waaaaaaay less and suit somewhat about tier2 after every single currently popular deck.
This might be true. Remember when they nerfed midrange shaman, but they nerfed their competition even harder and shaman became Tier S after the nerfs?
