That's why some brawls have generated or pre-con decks.
Also, there's nothing wrong with veteran players with big collections having an advantage in certain formats. If you don't play much Wild, this lets you get some use out of those older cards.

Some standard poor man warlock deck. Did go 4-2 with it. Most people do not realise that magnetism and reborn are best mechanics for this format. Hellfire, Plague of Flames and Sac-pact are awesome.
Maybe they still wanna play. But feel they can't play competitively because they don't have the wild cards like other people do and wanted to make a suggestion that maybe blizzard should think of making a standard and a wild for tavern brawls like this.
I don't think that'll work well well because there's already far less people playing tavern brawl so splitting them up probably isn't a good idea. But I get their point, because I actually read it.
Of the different kinds of brawls you have preconstructed, RNG constructed, standard only brawls, and pve. I would say far more often than not you can’t use wild cards. Tough it out kid, you can eek 1 win out this week. I promise you.
I don't want to be rude, but you did get a lot of extra dust for the wild cards thus an advantage from standard point of view, while me I preferred to keep the cards and not complain about getting free stuff..
I personally would love to see a brawl where you play very first official release of hearthstone and has a special collection manager that has all the cards in their unnerfed status. Then a couple of months later, a nax, classic and basic cards. Basically every couple of months, a new expansion is added to the brawl.
Who am I kidding, nostalgia should stay nostalgia.

Yeah, no desire to go back to Undertaker meta. Thanks for playing.

Maybe Blizzard should start realising that some brawls are impossible to win for standard players with no wild collection.
Maybe create a standard and wild mode for this type of brawls? Just an idea so that everyone can enjoy it and get their card pack
Only try a few games and you will win maybe the problem is your deck and not the wild or standar cards
Try hunter mech with minions with stealth :)

I didn't make them dust their wild collection and then ask to be catered to.
Thanks for the deck code. Recently dusted all my wild cards and didn't know what to play. Does the trick and super cheap :)
