I tried to make a Mecha'thun Rogue work but I failed. After those 5 days I've came to conclusion that it's (Rogue) main weaknessess are:
- No early decent AOE - I know that Rogue is supposed to not have any access to board clear but AOE and board clear are different things, I would even see myself playing blade flurry just to have this 3-damage swing across the board with deadly poison but if only it costed 2 mana , not that absourdly high 4 mana.
- Not a single good, class card draw - Yes, Rogue lacks one . Which is funny because class identity says otherwise. Raiding party and Myra's Unstable Element are quite specific, one demands playing pirates, second one destroys your deck.
The thing that I am suprised by is Shadow of Death which covers up the healing aspect which was also major weakness but after playing couple of games, you could heal up quite effeciently only by playing it on Rotten Applebaum or even better, on Zilliax.
If there's a person who knows how to make this deck work, give it a try and tell me.
I will probably give it a try in the future but here are my two cents on the matter.Have you trying steal/rush rogue for the early? To keep you alive enough to draw the cards you need? Also acolyte of pain and novice engineer are some good cards to include if you have a draw problem
Here's the list that I am currently playing after many changes.
I have no problem with drawing entire deck but it feels really bad to play shivs and even loot hoarders just to justify Rogue's lacks in card draw.
I did, even with quest which helped a bit but why would you play Mecha'thun then if you're playing Tempo/Thief Rogue which generates a lot of cards that you have to get rid off before killing your Mecha'thun.
Loot hoarder is better stated minion that's why I believe it's better than Novice Enginner. I found Acolyte of Pain pretty terrible thanks to it's 3 health and capability to kill you later on by fatique.
Only Druid has better card draw than Rogue, just because it doesn't fit your use case doesn't mean Rogue doesn't have "a single good, class card draw".

Except from Raiding Party and Myra's which are situational, there's a shiv, fan of knives and sprint. That's it. The only decent one is fan of knives so I don't know about that.
Now, there's Warrior for example: Town Crier, Battle Rage, Commanding Shout, Slam, Shield Block + Great synergy with Acolyte of Pain with all whirldwind effects.

Run the pirate package! Use Cursed Castaway, Captain Hooktusk and Raiding Party to slim your deck without having to draw in fatigue after you play myra's. I will agree that rogue has not been getting lots of card draw, because they've been getting so much card generation.

Without Vanish is a little bit harder now... However, I'm currently testing this version of the deck. It runs very smoothly but, as always, a lot depends on when you draw Myra's Unstable Element. Give it a try if you want ;)

I already posted cards which are on rogue's disposal when it comes to card draw. If three cards are supposed to be it's strenght then I don't what you call a weakness then. Btw, we're talking about standard if you're brain hasn't acknowledge that already.

Are you joking ? you think Commanding Shout - a card that haven't seen play since beta - and Battle Rage - probably last played 3 years ago - are examples of good card draw. Please try harder.
The problem with Mecha'thun Rogue is not card draw, it is the lack of board clears. Rogue would play 2 of Sprint and FoK if it had board clears.

Commanding Shout hasn't seen play since Grim Patron Era and Worgen OTK but it doesn't mean it's a bad card, I would say it's a bit better than shiv, hell I wouldn't mind having it while using Wild Pyromancer in Rogue. Battle Rage is being currently played in Aggro/Tempo Warrior. Getting 2 or even 3 cards is quite easy with it. For a year or more Warrior has mostly been playing control/bombs that's why those card haven't seen play but it doesn't mean they're trash. Lastly, I agree, lack of board clear is main problem but having a good class card draw is also an issue because you have to fill more deck space to cover it up. Why would I play 2x Loot Hoarders and 2x Witchwood Pipers in Wild where I have Elven Minstrel.

Tested the whole day. Good against slow decks, impossible to win against quest druid and warrior.
