I haven’t had any trouble with the recipe Paladin Highlander deck tbh. The lifesteal are adequate enough to hold off against aggro long enough for me to get an upgraded priest, warrior, or mage HP from Finley and start dropping bigger taunt bois. And in wild, a highlander mechrattle hunter deck is easy to make work. Can’t say the same about standard on that one though.
lol you guys, if you say highlander decks suck then you clearly are bad, i played from rank 5 to rank3 with a homebrew highlander mage and from 3 to 1 with highlander hunter, those decks are great, i don't know how anyone can say they are bad. Reno is not as flashy as the old version, but it provides a full clear most of the time, considering you had a minion left on the board, PLUS a 4/6 body, which is really good tempo wise. What you also can do is coins blizzard into reno.
According to HS replay, there's currently two tier 1 decks and one of them runs both Sir Finley and Zephrys. The deck is not actually a no-duplicate deck but rather a self mill deck but that's besides the point ...
IMO, the concept is pretty neat and I've always like the idea of running a number of 2-ofs in a high draw deck even back when Reno and MSG were standard (this was most notably seen in reno freeze mage then later in some Razakus priests). I've also seen this applied to other classes like druid to spam Nomis after self mill
Highlander Hunter ?! you want me to play it only For 7 mana King Krush ? this is just stupid.
Highlander hunter is mid tier 2 on HSReplay, mate. It does lose to aggro, but it has a stellar winrate against everything else. Having polarized matchups doesn't make a deck bad. In fact, we all should know how powerful decks like egg hunter, cubelock and the current mages are
