For those that may not know all the details of how Zephrys the Great actually works, this is the info I've gathered (based on comments made by the devs):
He discovers cards based on what both players can see, which should be the following: amount of minions on board, their stats and effects, handsize, player health, mana remaining, mana available next turn, amount of cards in decks, if there are secrets in play, if there are weapons in play.
For that reason, he does not know what the cards in your hand are (except for the coin and non-random cards generated by your cards maybe?)
I had a big taunt minion on the board and was ready to win and my opponent got a destroy random minion hunter card and it swung the game in their favor.
I really start to think is the best card ever made in this game history, for game and design perspective, ok, have the highlander restriction to balance, but is the only card in the entire game you can play in any point of the game and get something useful, don't have any status penaulty for the awesome ability and is the reason the highlander decks are playable in Standard.
No they said that specifically
Those who are given more in life, must not cling to it, but risk it all at every moment!
flamestrikes, blizzards, fireballs for lethal... i dont regret crafting him :D
To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffer!
I've got Windfury for a King Krush lethal.
No because he Discovers cards from the Core sets.
So he is only able to discover classic cards ?

The cards he discovers are also based on winrate, which is why you might get, for example Animal Companion instead of Scarlet Crusader or a Harrison Jones vs non-weapon classes.
He only discovers classic and basic cards
Hope it helps, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on anything.
