It makes no sense to trigger Overkill when the minion is attacked
Thought so too, it didn't make sense as the bees are the ones attacking, not the Linecracker... maybe it's a bug.

Overkill is an ability that activates whenever a card with the keyword deals damage to a character with less Health than the damage dealt during your turn. It was introduced in the Rastakhan's Rumbleexpansion.
As you can see, Overkill is about dealing damage, not about attacking. The same interaction can be seen from spells such as Mass Hysteria. The only requirement is that the Overkill effect happens on your turn.
Finally, just the cheese I needed for heroic Kel'Thuzad!
I also played this in wild rank, opponent was a mage, got the 2.5k armor, opponent didnt concede and kept fighting and fighting. Finally after exhausting all of their cards, they managed to get a Jade golem and cycle in some new cards, battle kept going going going, finally when they were down to 1 health I tipped my hat in respect of their persistence and sheer survival and conceded as a jerk like me who would play such a deck should.
Big shootout to yellowedward for showing me the error of my ways and helping me see just how boring it is to have a repaired I Win button. You da s*** homie!
First, this is not an OTK deck. Second, it loses to every single deck that runs skulking geist and also loses to mecha’thun decks - and in wild, mecha’thun warlock is super strong. Third, this deck loses to combo disruption cards, like dirty rat, hecklebot and deathlord - so it can lose to odd warrior, jade druid and every single control deck in the meta. Also, this deck is unfavored against evenlock and the new aggro oriented version of even shaman. Finally, I’m not sure if this deck is fast enough to beat odd paladin and odd rogue - the old cycle druid with togwaggle had an unfavored matchup against then. So, it will be a low tier 4 deck at best.
When it works the deck is fun. Too slow to be competitive. Fun but nothing to worry about. Big Priest should be worried as their slow play lets you get all the pieces even with a row of lifesteal taunts they still can't win and die to fatigue.

I've played with the deck and refined it and it definently isn't meme tier. Pulling off the combo wins most matchups, however getting to the combo is extremely hard and requires good skill and calculation. The deck reminds me of old Hakkar or Tog Druid, in the sense that once you pull of your combo, the game is still far from over. Generally you can win almost every matchup by infinently shuffling jades and never playing minions. My list teched in a dirty rat for MechaThun Matchups and Malfurion the pessilent to win against jade decks. So far I've had a good winrate and I enjoy the deck a lot. Still meme level. Too slow even with your 2 card addition.

It's definently not meme level. I question if you've even played the deck at all. I'm not saying it's a tier 1-2 deck but when piloted well the deck is really succesfull.
OP is correct. This is broken. The availability of counters seem to be all based upon RNG in drawing them early, and for many, additional RNG in pulling the right card from the opponent's hand. The fact that it is terribly discouraging for a player to see his opponent's armor jump to an outlandish 2.5 thousand in one turn can lead to players quitting the game, therein causing a decrease in player numbers. The last point is the reason why Blizzard will consider nerfing, and IMO, should nerf.

Looks like an dev oversight. The Overkill shouldnt trigger it most likely slipped through Playtesting.
Just played this for a bit and the deck is shit (Rank 5 Wild). Everything runs either Geist or Dirty Rat and you struggle keeping up with aggro.
Constantly being matched against jade druid will do that to ya
Those who are given more in life, must not cling to it, but risk it all at every moment!

It's a fun meme deck to try out.

Here's the deck. It's competitive and broken. Definitely not slow.
My exodia paladin laughs

You can add in a Moonfire on the linecracker to double the armor gain to over 4k.
Moonfire doesn't trigger the attack increase.
Went 2-4 with this deck, hardly OP, aggro decks just demolish you by turn 5-6 (tier 3)
The goal of all life is death.
juust play mecathun no matter what armor he have
Tfw 40% winrate.
Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
Linecracker and Mecha'thun are not really a problem, just use Demonic Project at the right time.
