I know its a bit conspiracy theorie but do you think all Devices have the same odds for the Packs you open? I play hearthstone for a long time now and i have opened many Packs (also preoders). I play on IOS and on Windows. But i feel like when i open the Packs on PC i get better Cards in general. Do you have the same experience?
Normaly i would say a company dont do stuff like this but since the Packs on IOS are also more expensive im not sure about that.
Your device acts as a Client, and not the server (which is Blizzard's end) - all calculations such as pity timers, etc - run on the server side. This is essential to prevent being able to hack the client and cheat your way to getting specific cards / altering data, etc. It therefore is logical that it should make absolutely no difference which device you are using since they all utilise the same code that is triggered on the server side.
This is also why you are able to disconnect and re-connect to a game without the game being lost (assuming you reconnect within the time limit).
I played this game for 5 years on PC and always been lucky, now my laptop crashed and using ios for 3 months. Obviously there is difference on packs. I used to get golden epics, legendaries but now can’t get legend/epic anymore. Waiting for 1/40 packs guaranteed legendary. Gonna use my brother’s laptop now cuz can’t risk 50 new packs.
I think the reason is we can pay for packs easier on ios cuz credit card infos ready to pay. No satisfaction gonna force us to do it.
It's very unlikely Blizzard has created exceptions to different platforms and operation systems. Like super unlikely. It would make them really corrupt if they took money from Apple and made the random card rolls more likely for iOS.
But good conspiracy theories are more entertaining than reality so this rumour will keep living on.

You are wrong in your own argument: Server receives the information about what shop is being used to buy the packs. I personally think it might be happening but the odds are ~5-10% worse max, but still a conspiracy theory. (though if they consider that mobile requires extra Developers' time thus expenses - they could implement it)
Anyway, blizzard's Random is not full random, i often get same cards way more often than others.
For me it seems that every account has user_ID (also maybe +hardware_ID) with their own Seed numbers, and random formula uses these seeds in its random generator.
Before dublicate changes i almost allways happen to have many Legendary dublicates, it even happened like 3 in a row, once it was even 3 golden leg in a row (can't complain though for their golden quality:D but still they were all dublicates).
Also i get same copies of golden cards way too often.

The OPs question was about which devices packs were being opened on, not which shop they were bought from. The answer was to explain that the device bears no effect upon the outcome of a pack opening, because if it did then it would be susceptible to hacking.

As an IT technician, Scorpyon was right all along. That's the pretty basic flow of information between clients and server. It's all around request/response architecture, which is VERY important in terms of security. You won't ever have the possibility to alter data on their server if not via SQL injections or other hacking methods, so no, the odds are the very same on each different clients. I mean, we're talking about cospiracy, but they COULD have set a different % value for a specific type of device using the client but it's VERY unlikely, cuz illegal.
I dunno if I made myself clear, my English is poor, sorry.. the quick recap is: if you believe men never got to the moon and 9/11 was calculated, then you can believe there's something about clients. Otherwise, no, don't bother think like that.

Do you have evidence or just feelings? It's hard to evaluate RNG stuff with feelings. Maybe ios doesn't have the 40 packs pity timer?

Sorry for garbage english ^^

The goal of all life is death.
it's funny that humans can ask questions where they know they will never get a real answer to
With so many od us playing on mobile devices it would be confirmed long time ago.
No there is no difference
It kinda happens all the time. We're trash indeed.
All packs are pre determined. If you want to open half mobile half pc go for it
It’s all about luck with pack opening, some get mega lucky and some get the minimum it’s just how it is

Funny how conspiracy theories always seem to originate with people who have absolutely no idea how anything works.
It must be interesting living in a world where just about everything around you seems like pure magic.
