I am old enough to remember Magic pre-release tournaments back in the days before spoilers. Not only was everyone reading the new cards for the first time together in a big hall, we then had to build decks and play a tournament with them.
Great days. The internet has brought a lot of good things but spoilers aren’t one of them.
2 days until pack openings, this will be fun. I have successfully avoided any spoilers/card reveals and will be opening 200+ packs at launch.
The only card i could not avoid is the mage epic that have been featured in the battlenet launcher for hearthstone. Will pour myself a good whiskey and take my time opening packs. Legendaries will be extra exciting this way.
Anyone else doing this? Good luck with your packs everyone :D
Damn, I wish I would have this level of self control. This must be epic fun. Instead I was checking hearthpwn every 6 hours for the last weeks only to not miss a single card release.
I'm telling this to myself for like 8 expansion BUT: next time I'll make it the same way like you :D

Yeah i have played magic since the mid 90s on and off, and those prerelease events was a blast. I remember one of my countries best Magic players being there and saying to the room with a grin "I think i found a pretty killer combo".

If it is any help with future motivation, during all previous exp i have obsessivly spammed the refresh button on Hearthpwn all month long. But i wanted to see if it is worth the wait this time around.

Thats actually a cool idea. I will do this next time an expansion is relrased. I just take a coffee instead the whiskey, since i had a drinking problem years ago.

Your way seems much better honestly, then you can even check the ones you didn't get from the collection manager.
