I wanted to find out honestly if people think the new expansion is worth spending money on? Don’t bother posting if your gonna toxic or turtle please. The I always buy all bundles for expansion need not bother posting. Yes you are being honest, but I am looking to get insight on whether I should buy the bundles or just mostly use gold? I had been buying bundles up till witchwood and booms day expansions. I did spend a small amount for some packs in those two, but really to me i saw the cards for witchwood and just thought the development was terrible, likewise for boomsday. When WoTG, was released is saw a massive change in game play, and I saw more of it when witchwood was released and was not impressed. I will wait for all cards 2b revealed, but still wanna see what people think of spending money for this one based on what they think of the cards?
I am going to buy, these cards that people think that the powerlevel is weak always become op in some days, and if these cards dont go high meta tier i am going to play them for fun because i think these are the best meme cards we had in a while
This month had Ultimate Alliance 3 and has Fire Emblem tomorrow. Plus a new amiibo release. I think this will be the first pre-order I skip since Kobolds, but only because I can't justify spending more on games for a while, not because the cards are bad.
I was thinking about the same issue. I've nearly always bought the pre-order, but i don't like the hero skin and i don't think the cards are worth it - as right now.
So far, i've only seen use for some of the epics, rares and commons. I think i'll skip this time. But I'll wait until all cards are revealed.
I'll take the 80 packs. I don't have too much free time to pay with in-game currency, I'm gonna but it with real money so I can play. Besides that I love to collect cards, even if they are not playable.
Not worth it imo unless you just love wild that much. So far, the cards abd archetypes seem so scattershot and unfocused. I dunno, nothing stands out to me
Personally, I am not buying in. I will just craft a few key cards using my dust. I only play casually anyway. Plus, I have not really liked the way the game has been going for a while (specifically, the huge increase in randomly generated cards).
I did the same with the last expansion and I was surprised that I didn't have any issues keeping up.
Its relatively "good" value so far, the last time they sold packs with value attached like this was in Boomsday Project. If you'll be buying, it depends on how you get fun out of hearthstone, if you like to build decks and have fun in general, I think this is a good expansion as I believe they will introduce lots of archetypes but the power level overall will be average at best. From the quests, to Mogo Cultists or Basilisk, lots of tools are available to make different archetypes. But again, the power level will be average.
If you want to grind to rank 5 or legend, buying the pre-order will at least get you to craft the best deck in the game that will eventually show itself once the meta stabilize. But this is a path I do not recommend to casuals. Especially new ones.
I would skip. The biggest decision-point on whether to preorder or not for me is the consistency of the quality of the legendaries. Up till now, a lot of the legendaries have been complete junk. Also, there haven't been too many good epics. If I were you, I would skip this one.
I've bought a bundle from every expansion since KFT, but I'm skipping this one. Mainly because of the state of the standard meta which is just nauseating right now. I've got enough cards and dust to play Wild anyway.
I don't know if the power level is just generally lower, but the new cards seems pretty uninspiring this time round. Some extremely good ones but mostly... meh.
Enjoying this game less and less by the day so I don't see any point in throwing more money at it.
I am seriously bored from this last meta and the cards that I keep seeing are just reinforcing my negative feelings about where the game has been going for a long time.
I am hard pressed to think of one reason to drop more money on a game that is tanking the way Hearthstone has been and is on track to continue doing...
I will be buying as it's clearly the thing to do if you enjoy the game and like building decks and experimenting...will buy both bundles because it means I can enjoy opening up all those packs and then messing around alot with ideas...usually leaves enough dust to make some key cards too...then have 2k gold spare too so..maybe another 20 packs there.
Actually, this is the first expansion I'm thinking about to NOT invest any real money. I got enough gold for 40 packs, which might be sufficient for the few cards I'm interested in.
This might change with upcoming reveals, though. But so far I'm not really thrilled.
The only thing that keeps me thinking is the golden legendary. But I once had a bad experience with "free Golden legendaries" : I got Marin the Fox, whom everyone got in regular anyway and who couldn't be dusted.
My position at the moment...

Those bonus golden Legendaries are of big value imho, i'l buy both.

Probability: 25%

They really killed standard with this expansion sadly.

I have a good relationship with blizzard
i have 200 friends they give me 80 gold quests
I farm arena and i do alright they give me free packs
and with those free packs i'm free to do what i want with the dust and all my other resources
ain't no chance in hell i'm paying for a broken game when they refuse to even adjust arena.
can't complain 2 much everything is free farming plebs all day it's hard to be a f2p LUL
I've never spent a single penny in Hearthstone and I managed to get a complete collection by simply doing dailies on a regular basis.

An online game is never free. I'm certain it will always cost you one of these options:
1. Time and Dedication (aka "free play")
2. Real Money
The difference between you and I is that I "change" my real money for the time you spent playing for free.
I am seriously bored from this last meta and the cards that I keep seeing are just reinforcing my negative feelings about where the game has been going for a long time.

Its actually my first preorder ever, theres something about the cards and expansion itself that made me do it.
