Does anyone know if this was specifically stated at the panel at Comic Con? It seems like most of us on the forums were underwhelmed by the new Highlander legendaries today, but if each of the four classes is receiving additional support, I'll remain brazenly optimistic!
We don't yet know, go ask the devs! I hope there's one or two neutral highlander cards, but I fear it still won't be enough for standard due to the smaller card pool and bomb warriors being everywhere, we will have to wait for it to rotate out in spring 2020. Reno decks might see a small comeback in wild depending how good the neutral(s) are and Barnes/big priest nerfs.
Legendaries are the only cards that tend to have the no duplicates rule since it would be pointless to make an epic or rare quality card as you can naturally only run one Legendary in a deck. That being said, I wouldn't expect more than a maximum of one neutral legendary this expansion, and MAYBE one next expansion.
Besides Genn/Baku odd/even stuff only had a handful of support cards from the entire set dedicated to the gimmick.
Jousting only had a few cards from TGT dedicated toward the gimmick
Twinspell literally only had like a handful of cards dedicated to the gimmick (Feels like it got the least bit of support out of all the gimmicks)
The only real decent amount of cards recently we've had dedicated to a gimmick recently was Magnetic from Boomsday, only other one that comes close is Discover which pops every expansion lately.
Based on their track record from Blizzard I'd keep expectations low. Nothing you can do but wait. Something tells me we might get 2 maybe 3 additional highlander based support cards at best.
This should be obvious, but there SURELY are highlander support cards that are yet to be revealed. I would even bet that there would be 1 or 2 neutral legendaries that could compare to Kazakus or Reno Jackson. I mean, why would the devs chose those cards to be revealed at Comic Con? Why would they hype up and showcase unplayable filler? My guess is that they are not actually bad cards, the devs just made a mistake of not revealing the Neutral Highlanders before these. If they did, I'm 100% sure community opinion would be different.

I agree with your logic and we shall find out in a few days as more cards get revealed. For now, those 4 cards are as good as dust.
Thank you so much! This link is EXACTLY what I was hoping to get when I made this post. Hope the one additional card is neutral and at least 80% as strong as Kazakus, but we'll see....

If highlander decks are strong enough to see play in standard, Blizz will have to go ahead and nerf bomb warrior since that deck hard counters it.

Still no neutral highlander legendary, but there's still 2 left to be revealed. Maybe we see it tonight, if not then in the final dump tomorrow? Someone on Reddit did say there would be one, hope so or those 4 class highlander cards will be completely useless.

This space is intentionally blank.
I wouldn't count on it too much.

It's already been confirmed that there will be one more highlander card.
Yep, just one more. (Source)

I really hope it will have dragon tag.
