Apparently, the Immune for 1st turn given by Spirit of the Rhino to mechs that are given Rush from Dr. Boom, Mad Genius will not deactivate taunt, so the minion is invincible on turn 1 :(
HS kindly take note of this bug so it would be fair for other players :)
Wait a sec, I do remember times then hunters could remove taunt from an enemy minion by giving it immune with Beatial wrath, so this interaction was fixed?
All Mechs have Rush while Boom is up. If you summon a Mech for your opponent in your turn by activating a Deathrattle, it will become immune until the end of your turn.
If the Immune effect remained after you ended your turn, then it would be a bug.
As it stands, it's not.
Edit: I should add this to prevent confusion, Immune doesn't allow the minion to receive damage. It doesn't remove taunt, it just means that if you attack the minion, it will not take damage. That means for this exact turn, you cannot kill that minion with damage, and given that it has taunt, you cannot bypass him this turn.
There is nothing wrong for Blizzard to fix.
That's wrong. Immune and/or stealth deactivates taunt, says so in the rules. It's supposed to be that way, so it's not possible to completely prevent your opponent from attacking. You should make sure you know the facts before you post, otherwise you're just spreading false info.
What has happened here is obviously a bug. OP should report it to Blizzard, as others have already said.

Can you bypass the Taunt, though? If yes, then there's no bug. Otherwise report it to Blizzard, as having immune should remove taunt effect, no matter whose turn it is.

I know about what happens with Stealth. This is Immune. I never read anything like that regarding Immune.
That would be because Stealth minions cannot be attacked. Immune just cannot take damage.
And you can completely stop your opponent from attacking. If you freeze their board and hero, with his board being full, he cannot attack.
Or if you Stealth your entire board and Hero. Or if you Immune the Minions and Hero.
There are few ways to accomplish it, but they do exist and are not a bug.
Edit: I have remembered one of the reasons this doesn't seem a bug to me.
A long time ago, in Karazhan I believe, there was a Boss where both Heroes had Taunt. If you had Ice Block and it turned you Immune, meaning you had Taunt and Immune, the Boss wouldn't attack the minions, he had to attack the Taunt Hero, which wouldn't receive damage.
Sure, but this is still a bug, as immune cancels taunt, just like stealth does. You're wrong again, btw – immune characters can not be attacked, just like stealth.
Maybe you just need to check out the rules of the game.

Well, as I wrote above, it wasn't the case for the Boss fight in Karazhan, it didn't cancel the Hero Taunt.
Also, unless they changed it, immune characters as well as Stealth ones could be attacked, just no targetted for attack. With this I mean, if you had a card that attacks a random enemy by chance and the likes, you could still hit those targets.
But it could be that things have been changed, or even rules been inconsistent over the years and they decided on a consistent application (or if not the case, they do need to).
I'm guessing hero taunt is a special case of spaghetti code, since it appears nowhere else in the game. But you're absolutely right about the random targeting being able to hit immune as well as stealth, it's only targeted attacks that are impossible.

The harsh reality is that this effect worked pretty much exactly as it is intended to. A minion with rush (from Dr B) came into play on your turn, therefore it received the Immune effect for that turn. It's unfortunate for you and was probably a "Darth-Vader-Nooooo!" moment. But not a bug, I'm afraid.
It doesn't worked as intended, as Immune deactivates Taunt. So it's definitely a bug, nothing more to say.
To the OP, as already said by others, you should send a report to Blizzard because this is an unofficial forum. Anyway, thanks for the information about the bug, you were indeed very unlucky in finding this bug (:
I just tested the interaction against innkeeper and to me it seems to work as intended. There may be no visual indicator, but as long as a minion with taunt is also immune, you can just ignore it.

Why is it a bug? I did read the article it says:
"As with Stealth, Taunt minions that are Immune have their Taunt ability temporarily suppressed, and can thus be bypassed."

You might be better served reporting it to Blizzard. HearthPwn is a fan site.

immune and stealth should removes taunt so that should be a bug.
Silly yu-gi-boy, you activated my trap card xD
they only thing that matters is could OP bypass taunt by attacking or not.
could - not bug
couldn't - bug
