at least its a control deck from the start. ppl are quick to forget how stupid hunter was before Rexxar rotated. aggro deck that outvalues any control deck just cause of Dk Rexxxar? cmon lets stop the BS
I I've been playing since open beta without long stops, and frankly i agree with you. I've sat through all the silly decks in the past ofcourse, but bar jade druid, nothing ever felt as boring to play against.
In the current meta this warrior deck is insanely strong. Sure, there have been more powerful decks in the past, but they existed mainly in very strong overall metas. The powerlevel of the current meta, bar some cards like conjurer's calling, is pretty low overall and warrior just sticks out above it way too far in the amount of stuff that it can do.
The matchups against that deck, even when you play a deck that wins against it, are so incredibly dull and boring that i've had to call it quits for HS for the first time. Pretty sure i'm not the only one thinking this either; Compare stream views of HS from 6 months ago with now, a LOT of big streamers left HS, often stating that the boring meta is the main reason. The views on the grandmaster tour are also laughable and dropping every week: Noone wants to sit and watch warriors for game after game, regardless of the opponent.
Dr. Boom having rush mechs and Elysiana are just two of the biggest mistakes that the HS team has made since the start of the game. I just can not comprehend how someone responsible at Blizzard looked at the current form of dr. boom after playtesting and said "yeah, this looks alright", ESPECIALLY when most of the other classes don't have a hero class anymore.
For the longevity of the game i think it's really important that Blizzard recognizes this and does something about the current form of CW.
I understand your frustrations and altho i'm a diehardwarrior-player since over 2 years let me tell you something.
warrior is strong right noe and yes perhaps a bit too strong especially the dr boom omegadevastator interaction. The removals you are able to use are nuts and understandably kinde unfair in some times BUT have you ever played warrior in wild? Except for piratewarrior witch by the way is not what warriors should do according to the devs since they said what the class identities are, there is no real good controlwarrior deck in wild. Yes you might win a lot on in lower ranks but you have close to no chance in higher ranks 5 - 0. So considering that also dr.boom is worse than half the Dks in wild. In adition to that all classes except warrior with the recruit (witch is very bad) have no manacheatingmechanic.
That all said i understand that warrior is a bit too strong but i think the devs intendet that to ajust the powerlevel of warrior in wild. Go to hsreplay and go to the wild section - warrior is by far the worst class and a lot including me are wild players. The balance in standard vs in wild is a huge difference and i hope and think that the devs are trying to change that a bit so that all classes in wild are also more fair agaisnt eachother.
The worst metas have been (in no particular order):
- Undertaker Hunter
- Pirate Warrior
- Jade Druid
- Midrange Rexxar Hunter vs OTK Priest
- Frozen Throne Druidstone
- Machine Gun Priest
Warrior with Dr. Boom, Mad Genius is powerful, but it's not broken and certainly not easy to play. I run hunter and my win rate vs warrior is above 60% for the past two seasons. Yes, the rng can screw you, just like it can screw them. Yes, they have loads of board clears, just like the meta has loads of board floods.
The meta warrior decks aren't even the strongest I've seen. I have a buddy who runs a custom build that has gone 80% from rank 18-2 since he started playing in earnest in May. All his matchups are positive win rates. This is a deck that I've seen maybe 1-2 other times, so you're not even facing the best build, just the best known one.
If I can humiliate most warriors just by running midrange hunter, you can certainly find a way to push through to August, when we know the meta will shake up as it must when new expansions come out.
Best of luck!
I'd like to add to that list (and again in no particular order):
Forget about hs, they already announced new expan. No nerfs until next meta is settled, it s so frustraiting, but you can t change anything, just leave until next month, maybe Blizz will see a lot of people leaved and will patch more often. Ofc, you must grind daily quests and event quests, but playing ladder is a pain.
Warrior is strong, and Dr Boom hero is pretty OP, but its not awful.
Both control warrior and bomb warrior are countered hard by mech palaldin. I went R9 to R5 in an afternoon today playing palaldin and didnt lose one game to warrior, (probably 25 to 33% of my games) and they all played the hero card pretty much.
I lost plenty of games to shaman, but thats hearthstone, there is a deck out there to counter every deck, which in turn will have its own weakness.

Ugh... yeah I definitely didn't have a comprehensive list of toxic meta-warping decks. Good call on these tho! Patron wasn't easy, but neither was machine gun priest and that was still awful to face.

I hope Blizzard can somehow nerf Hunter, Mage and Warrior. Really boring vs these 3 deck most of the time.

Warrior is fine, Dr.Boom is not, though not that your child-like comment conveyed anything of meaning.
If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
remove rush.
shiels slam should remove the dmg done in armor.'
that would be a start.
and stop the crap about play another class.
they have a super op card that needs balance.

As a warrior player, I can say the ladder is full of warriors. This is boring...
