What people don't talk about enough is that there have been more number of changes in the last few months combined compared against brode's reign of several years.
I've been saying this before. If the truth be told, we want this game to be really MtG. We want more ways of doing things the big brothers have been doing for the last 20 years. We want mechanics like scrying, more "counter his attempt to counter your counter", much more cards that encourage mindgames vs "does he have it" snowbally cards.
The lackeys were a step in the right direction kinda - definitely better than the Overkill mechanic which was still playing it way too safe. More things that make each and every card played a real decision, even something as mundane as card draw/generation carry actual risk.
I think what you are talking about are the basic game mechanics. What we had/have is what makes this game hearthstone. If it changes, it's not hearthstone anymore
