I wonder if i am the only one doing this, and if i am, i want to share my experience with the community.
The reveal season is always a fun time, once multiple cards are revealed every day it's a blast. But at the beginning of the last reveal season i decided to bring the same mentality to hearthstone as i do with movies. I am a big movie buff, love going to film festivals and that kind of stuff, and it is now probably 10 years since i saw a movie trailer for a film i was looking forward to. Why? Well, during the last decade movie trailers have started to give away way to much information, and every film seems to have atleast 3 different trailers.
Avoiding trailers have given me so many fun and suprising moments in the movie theatre, when everybody else is just waiting for a character to die/an accident to happen in the first 20 minutes, going in blind you feel the full impact of these things. Not to mention potential twists in the second or third act, that have all been revealed in the trailers.
I guess you can see where this is going. Yes, this upcoming expansion i'm not going to watch any of the card reveals. Instead of the usual theorycrafting and discussions i'm going to save it all for launch day. I opened about 200 packs last exp and will open the same number this time. I don't know about you, but opening a lot of packs feels like chore to me when i know all the cards, and know i will have enough dust to craft what i need anyway. It's just all spam spacebar for 20 minutes, because it gets tedious. Which is sad, because opening packs should be exciting and fun.
It was superfun last time, every time i opened a pack it was like, oh that common is very interesting, wow, bet i can make a crazy combo with that epic. And every legendary drop was thrilling.
So if anyone else is considering doing this, i highly recommend it.
I've been thinking about doing this for a few expansions now...But the main reason I don't is because I watch a lot of hearthstone streams on twitch. Even if I don't see a new card reveal...a streamer can mention it while answering a chat question or something. So I would end up half-spoiled anyway.

I can definitely see your problem, hard to avoid on streams.
I've done this for the latest expansion -= right after seeing the keyword ECHO =- . I actually enjoyed this expansion more than the rest. I'm sure it's not because of the content.
I also recommend it :) , I'll be doing it for the next expansion.

I would personally probably enjoy the reveal season prior to a release if they didnt choose to reveal all the biggest, most powerful cards before the expansion arrives. That way you can get some hype going for some cards and wondering what synergies there would be, but you don't feel like the whole surprise is spoiled by seeing the best there is.
But that's just how I'd do it. I'm happy enough just to have a reveal season beforehand even if it does take off some of the sheen through spoilers.
