Lost a game playing mech hunter vs mage because i couldnt magnetize on full board after getting frost novad twice. This should not be happening, maybe I am wrong but magnetizing isnt adding a minion on board so why doesn't it work on full board!?
to magnetize you first need to play the minion, and that requires a free space on the board. it's the same as when drawing a bomb or blood with a full hand discards them without getting damage
I've always hated these "I was not aware of this interaction and I lost because of it, so it is stupid" threads.
It makes perfect sense. The definition of magnetic, as Suchti352 also states, is: "Play this to the left of a Mech to fuse them together!" and you can't play more than 7 minions. Learn your mechanics and stop whining.
Wonderful opportunity for you to learn something :) @GCthereaper
Since you "couldnt magnetize on full board after getting frost novad twice", depending on the situation (although I doubt your opponent didn't give you a few clues he might be playing AoE in his deck?) you could've stopped playing the 7th minion after the first Frost Nova, or maybe killed one of your own mechs to create space on the board...
lesson learned. honestly isnt it kinda hard to fill the board when u playing mmagnetic mechs? its usually a tall board not a wide one. unless u played those 4 drops that summon bombs while the mage just said fuck it for 2 turns and bonked face
it's the same as with Lord Jaraxxus. If something has a minion tag on it, you can't play it on a full board no matter what. Honestly, it comes up so rarely and I think it's an interesting mechanic, but im glad that interaction exists.
I've been frustrated by this too, but it is something you just have to learn to deal with. Always leave a space on the board against a deck like freeze mage. It can save your game.

You cant play a minion if you have 7 minions on the board, case closed
