I'm leaving. This recent news is akin to resurrecting a corpse. The talent that matters has already left the building, so I sure as shit ain't staying.
That's pathetic behavior.
You know absolutely NOTHING about those new guys. Give the ****ing guys a chance to prove themselves and THEN move on if you don't like em.
Precisely - we know absolutely nothing about them. I'm choosing to side with the people who have been cultivating this site for years - and who, by the way, even offered to buy it and were turned down only for this complete 180 to then happen - rather than those who have absolutely no history with the place whatsoever.
If you think it's pathetic to want to move to a site which Flux and co. aren't just running - they've built it up from scratch - then by all means stay. You do you. But I completely disagree and stand by what I said.
As far as I'm concerned it's in the interests of anyone loyal to HearthPwn to move on and join the people who actually made the place what it is. But if you wanna' stay on this barely-functioning dumpster fire because a backhanded corporate buyout isn't enough of a deterrent for you then go for it. Have fun.
Regardless - cya folks, o /
You know what, I was going to argue with you but fuck it, I don't feel like it.
If you want to leave, be it. Don't ever look back my friend.
I'll do it for you then, though I don't agree with calling people pathetic
What Curse did to Flux was a dick move. I get it. But the new owners aren't Curse and they haven't done anything other than purchase a site with a bad reputation due to its previous owners. I feel that they're getting a lot more hate than they deserve
There's no reason to leave hearthpwn other than personal convenience (you don't want to use it and OOC both). Curse couldn't care less if hearthpwn gets less traffic now; they don't own the site anymore... in fact, less traffic probably reassures them that they made the right choice in shafting the site

Out of Cards has a COMPLETE SHIT USER EXPERIENCE for any mobile users. It blows at the moment and they are "beta", So I will give them the benefit of the doubt.
I'm sorry, I am in no way "in the know" about any of this.
I thought the story was that Hearthpwn would no longer be updated after the 28th. I didn't realize there would be new management.
I have no loyalty to anyone here; my only experiences with the moderators have been warnings for ridiculous slang terms used by hundreds of people repeatedly (and therefore presumably without disciplinary action). Nevertheless, if someone feels like telling me a story as to why I should be at one site or the other, I will listen.

Helpful Clarification on Forbidden Topics for Hearthstone Forums:
Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
I use this site for decks above anything else. More decks will be here, so I stay here for now. I play more casual per month than ladder, so not everything needs to be tier 1/2/3 for me.
This makes an interesting read, it's a letter Flux posted from himself last night on Out of Cards, explains a lot for those of you wondering exactly what happened etc.
but the bit that clearly annoys me and many others is the fact that Flux wanted to buy this site to keep it going but was told it wasn't for sale (full shutdown) and then guess what....last night we all find out it has been sold to this new Magic company or w/e it's called. lol, like me and many others have already said, proper dick move.
Or they already sold the site ,and didn't even bother thinking Flux would buy it .

Thats just beacuse you know hes right!
Uh no. That's because I don't feel like typing an essay to a guy who's mind is already set.
I'm sorry, I am in no way "in the know" about any of this.

I agree. My only experience with the mods has been warnings for ''Non-constructive'' posting which was pure BS most of the time.
There is NO reason (yet) to be against Magic. They saved hearthpwn! Anything else (including the imho very important „social quality“ of the community) is mainly on us. I‘m here since the early days, but I only used the site in passive way‘s (shame on me). Nevertheless I know that we don‘t need hate spreading or other stuff like that. If U don‘t like the entire page and community no more cause of new ownership and/or single staff changes, just leave us in peace.
Here's a crazy idea - Visiting both sites.. *gasp* OMG is that really possible??? Glad it was an option in the poll and all of this silly drama that the people who support OoC are creating here is not helping OoC.
Might be more helpful to end the drama and those that want to go just do so without the speeches and flaming. I like this site and curious to see how that site will evolve and plan to use both.
Like everyone else here, I don't know Flux. Only interaction with the mods I have had are when I got a warning for cracking a joke in a post. Could care less about people who police a forum. The ones who develop content are what matters for a website and content was pretty lacking here on Hearthpwn other than just general news that was on every HS and Blizzard related website. In the past year even some news stories weren't here or posted after the buzz died off.
Hopefully with a little more competition out there for ad dollars both sites will step up and we will have more articles aside from news and what the new tavern brawl is. I wish both the best going forward and look forward to visiting both.
stay because im too lazy to make new account and pin another page
I hatto use both cause outofcards wont sign me in on mobile
I'll do it for you then, though I don't agree with calling people pathetic

Now go away, little troll.

I'll be using neither.

Then again, i am a heretic and a follower of the chaos god (sherman). So i will use both!Afterall i got addicted to flux's bans :p
Whichever site has the best news and content. I don't feel loyal to any site or person, I'm a hearthstone player who wants the best information.
I prefer Toast's site tbh
Aren't they the guys behind HSReplay? I wouldn't jump ship just yet.

They got rid of Flux after years of service. Bye Hearthpwn.
