Sometimes in these hour long Warrior games I have to take a pee really bad, so I do my actions for the turn and leave without pressing end turn to make sure I have as much time as possible to get back. I hate to do it, but it's better than pissing my pants or missing a turn.
Never unless I can help it. I tend to play a game or two at work during (rare) downtime but even then I'm on call and can leave at any time. Many free wins have been had from me...
I have patience though and if someone is roping me I presume that they are busy. Or answering a phone call, or have Rage Quit..
I'll open by saying that since you are given (i don't Remember the numbers exactly,Just pretend it's right duration) a minute and a half to take your turn you have all the right in the world to use this time to its fullest and no right to complain if your opponent chooses to use It,After all you can use that time to think about what future turns Will be like
That being said since people are generally lacking in the patience department and can't stand wating a minute i generally try not to do It,if i end up roping it's usually because:
1) i Need that time to actually think
2) i take advantage of the aforementioned lack of patience to try and tilt my opponent if he's playing a deck i really don't enjoy playing against (Also,a tilted opponent Is easier to beat๐)
3) similar to 2 i sometimes Rope aggro decks, not because of hatred towards the playstyle (as much as i don't enjoy playing or playing against it,some people do and i think it's a sort of "necessari evil") but Simply because One of the reasons i hear when people "defend" that playstyle Is: "i want Fast games" and that's where i step in and prolongue the game as much as possibile in order to undermine the very foundation of this "strategy" and teach the value of patience
I rarely rope and 99% of the time its due to some sort of connection loss ingame. I don't mind when my opponent seem to have difficult decisions and the rope starts burning. But those that rope in the early turns just for the sake of doing it.. fuck off.
There's a whole lot of "two wrongs don't make a right" in this thread, which is exactly the kind of BS you'd expect from the type of person who routinely does the first wrong. At least the guy who admitted he BMed but thought it was over the line to get BMed back was honest about it. :)
I love these kind of threads, this and people complaining about other people emoting. It could be as simple as "everyone has up to 90 seconds for their turn to do whatever they want and that's just how it is", but oh no people have to interpret all kinds of things into an opponent roping, get tilted very easily or try to tilt the other person by waiting (which seems to work quite often according to the answers here).
I really don't understand it, it is a game, a turn can take 90 seconds, what is the big deal, why y'all in such a rush? If I do come across someone who takes a long time for their turns for whatever reason I just start doing something in that time, like watch a video, doodle around or whatever. I don't get why some people lose their cool that easily. Must be the same people that lose their shit when the other person uses emotes against them. Hilarious.
It's hilarious that the OP automatically assumes that someone using all the available time automatically means their opponent is being a jerk, and that anyone who takes until the rope is always being a jerk. I guess the OP has never watched a championship before, where nearly every single turn ropes.
We're not in a championship game. There's zero money on the line. Taking a full 90 seconds in this game is ridiculous.
Sure, most of the time the full 90 seconds isn't needed. Which is why I don't usually rope. And yes, there is no money on the line.
But it's a competitive game, and sometimes
winning the game requires some complex gameplay,
and therefore the occasional rope. Maybe you're desperately trying to figure out if anything can possibly get you out of a really bad position. Those are legitimate times to rope.
This is all assuming you actually care about winning - not sure if you do, but I do. I don't have time to play 500 games a month. If I'm trying to climb, every game I play matters, and therefore I'll rope anytime I need to.
LOL you definitely only netdeck
You totally got me. I never try to create my own decks ever. And I certainly don't have a deck that I originated here on Hearthpwn, which has over 200k views. Nope. And you definitely didn't lose an argument or anything, since your response is purely an ad hominem attack. And this entire post is definitely not sarcasm. (You might need to look up what ad hominem means though.)
You might need to look up what an "argument" is. #staystupid
This is the exact line I wanted to type. Roping your opponent back isn't doing any good to yourself. I just play and do things in the background to wait if it happens.

Only when I have to find the most optimal play and I'm playing serious in the higher ranks. Or in arena and in a brawliseum, cuz' I invest gold there. I don't get triggered by emotes, I find this kind of behaviour childish.
[edit] Oh yeah, sometimes I have connection issues and the rope is unintentional.

I probably would lose my shit about excessive emotes if there wasn't a squelch option. But, with squelch there is nothing to complain about.

I rope when I am super frustrated and on the verge of killing a man. But I usually rope for 1 or 2 turns and then gently press ALT + F4.
I rope only when I run out of time coming up with the best move :O
Any sort of excessive emoting.
I sometimes rope people when I search for something on the web at the same time. But I never do that on purpose.
Only when I have to go to the toilet. I then make my play very early in the turn and hope I have enough time to go to the bathroom.
Only if im getting something to drink etc, so that I dont miss my next turn.

Only when my opponent plays cards. Then they'll taste the fucking rope!
