Got roped today and I didn't really think I deserved it. So, I was wondering, when do you folks rope people? What makes you mad enough at an opponent to waste both of your time?
If someone ropes me turn 1 and turn 2. I will rope them for the rest of the game (almost). I HATE getting rope early. There is just no reason, so I give them a taste of their own medicine. They will start playing faster REAL quick after that! Otherwise, I only rope if I actually need to think or if I need to grab a beer lol!
i'll rope people who rope me the first 2 or 3 turns. i'll usually rope them 1 full turn and they smarten up and realize they'll waste double the time. it's all about the bluff.

That sounds childish to me. But if it helps for you, sure. Do whatever you like.

I hardly rope, but sometimes there are difficult puzzles to solve. Like if there is no clear play, you just have to figure out the best possible course of action. If the opponent keeps roping, just watch some Youtube or something.
If I’m having a great match and my opponent ropes out of nowhere - then I’ll wait as long as I can to see if they come back to get the match back on track. But I never rope to be an ass.
The only time I rope my opponent is when I don't have time to do everything I need in the turn in the games you draw a lot, trade and play tons of spells and of course in the rare when the dragon 8/8 appears from a random effect.
I'm only talking about intentionally letting the rope burn down to nothing every turn. Not when you just need all your time, but when you take all your time just to punish your opponent.
If someone is doing it to me and I do it back to them. It seems childish but it shows them that roping to make my game longer is not going to frustrate me and they play faster.
If there is an instance where I have to think about what I want to do next, or if I'm double/triple checking my math on damage I can deal for lethal (or not if it's not lethal).
If I am not paying much attention to the game and instead watching a video, show, or movie.
Never, it's more boring roping someone intentionally then being roped. Just a waste of time and if they're roping you then they clearly don't care about their time already.
If they're roping me i just emote spam every play I/they do, because people don't rope you when they're winning, only losing.

Not counting disconnects, I have roped three times in my hearthstone career, all of which happened when I was extremely pissed.
I honestly think it's real stupid, but if I get insanely mad, then yeah, I might actually rope.
Considering I've been playing this game for over three years now, three times isnt a whole lot of times. I get mad enough an average of once a year lmao

that is literally the stupidest reasoning I have ever heard! Just incredible. You get inconvenienced for 1 or 2 turnsx, and turn around and do that for the rest of the game for revenge? ARe you fucking 12 yrs old or something? Ill have you know that some people think about the whole game in reagard to their opening plays.especially the first 1 or 2.
YOu complain about beign roped and then do it back, so 2 wrongs make a right? OK.
And then what about 2 turns waiting compared to a whole game roping. If your time is so precious, how can you afford to waste so much of it roping for the rest of the game?
God forbid, someone knocks at the door at the start of our game, and I have to take a full turns time to answer it, only to be held hostage by someone like you.
Just fucking REEE DIC U LUS of you , I am flabbergasted at the futility of your logic. Wow.
Roping for spite is immature and makes the game worse. I’ve done a lot of BM stuff when I’m mad, but roping for the sake of roping is just too far past the line.

Never. It's a waste of time.
Always expect the unexpectable!
Only roped opponent’s for excessive emoting. They are having such a good time figured they want more time to spam.

Sometimes I rope because I have bad internet
Thanks for the advice Mom!

In regards to roping on turn 1, I agree but sometimes there are some exceptions. Tracking is an example of an exception.

In this case never.
