Crystology is BATSHIT now. That is mind-bogglingly strong.
Pogo Hopper looks dangerous at one mana. Someone's going to get a random Glinda off a burgle card (we call that a "Hello, Reddit!" moment).
Most of the rest not particularly interesting. Thunderhead was already good enough to play, but you have to have a fairly specialized deck, so we'll see if that makes a lot of difference.
Allow me to be the first (I think) on this thread to say I enjoy buffing medium stuff more than nerfing strong stuff.
The thing is Crystalogy is already mindbogglingly strong. It’s the 1 Attack cards that are meh, or let’s say they are ok but maybe too fair to make mech Paladin viable.
I also agree that Thunderhead is already very good, and I’m somewhat worried about the Priest OTK with the new Legendary.... 😔 sigh.
Damn. Very interesting, buffs are long overdue imo. Also love the fact that a few legendaries I have may become somewhat playable (Flark's Boom-Zooka, Luna's Pocket Galaxy).
Also pogo hopper for 1 mana may create some shenanigans.
Yeah, in the news thread someone mentioned the synergy with Magic Carpet.
Crystology is BATSHIT now. That is mind-bogglingly strong.
Ikr? In the past this was heavily used in Exodia Paladin, but at least it was fair for its cost. Now it's just absurd and I can only imagine people abusing it in combo decks.
Also, I'm not really sure about the following, but this change might make odd mech paladin viable in wild. They get another drawing tool, they *might* use Glowstone Technician (Kibler uses him in his standard mech paladin decks) or Sn1p-Sn4p, so we might see a new direction for Odd paladin.
I’m somewhat worried about the Priest OTK with the new Legendary.... 😔 sigh.
I don't think that you should be afraid. The chances of the priest player having all three needed pieces by turn 5 is small. If they win with this combo, it would be the same as if an Inner Fire priest won the match - only due to a lucky card draw RNG.
The thing is, that in the late-game most control decks can answer a 4-health stealth minion (Brawl, Flamestrike, Twisting Nether etc). It will be harder for them to deal with it, if you buffed it (Power Word: Shield or Divine Spirit), but let's see how the new meta turns out before we analyze plausible combo decks.
Edit: also doable with 3 mana high health mechs such as Bronze Gatekeeper if you're on the coin. Plus, the Extra Arms buff works really well with this whole thing (and mechs in general)
Probably not, since at that point Extra Arms just becomes a strictly better Blessing of Kings, and Priest doesn't have the "buff minions" identity that Paladin does. It's possible, though.

This. There is no good target for divine spirit inner fire that has stealth. Not only that, but many mechs were made difficult to remove in order to push magnetic. Also, divine spirit inner fire was four cards minimum, and didn't usually one shot the opponent. Usually stuck to around 24 damage. This combo is 3 cards and deals, based on my experience with Glinda CrowskinMissile Launcher otk, around 45 damage before the turn timer gets you. I don't see any way this isn't a design oversight.
Deathrattle hunter is back. Oblivitron and the mechanic will be the new play dead / cube. Bomb hunter with an echo magnetic minion after flark, deck will be even better.
Sorry, a little off topic, but now that two of you have quoted me about "crystology being BATSHIT" I just had a thought about colloquial English.
Bat shit = amazing
Dog shit = terrible
Strange how that works.

It's confirmed the extra extra arms is 2 cost.

If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
I'm pretty glad they buffed Violet Haze because the other day I was testing my deck and it had one card space available so I put this in, and then I realized the value is so bad compared to Hallucination. The card still probably won't see play anyway, lol.
Pogo to 1 mana has an entirely new dimension to it. Will definitely see play more often. Luna's PG and Necromechanic are notable mentions. Overall good job, Blizzard. More decks will emerge for sure. On the unfortunate side, Warrior also benefits from the buff.

I wrote my previous post before taking into consideration the fact, that a priest player can run multiple mechs in their deck. At first I was only thinking of that stupid Coppertail Imposter and how unreliable the strategy would have been, if people relied only on that single minion. And even when I realized the opportunity of running more mechs, I was still confident, that the TTK combo would be ok, because priests can't draw specific units. That was until I thought of Dead Ringer that can reliably fetch the legendary (I mentioned it in a post before you replied to me). Only because of this little critter I started fearing the deck.

Another thing to consider is that everyone keeps thinking of trying to rush down the combo. "you can't get it by turn 5". But WHY is that a problem?
Innerfire/Divine priest stopped being a meme and started being a threat once the deck stopped thinking it had to get ONE SPECIFIC minion hyper buffed and instead became a tempo deck. Suddenly it turned into a deck with normal removals and fights for the board, but it gave the opponent the fear of dying the SECOND ANYTHING stuck on the board.
A deck that tries to 100% all in on the wombo combo is fine. It'll fail most of the time, work a few times, and become a nice meme deck. But what about a priest that just runs a normal mech deck? You don't have ot win by turn 5. You just need to survive until you get T1ck and a Experimenter. After that, just have 1 mech to survive. Then just spam.
will there be a deck like this? We'll see. But I'm worried.
If Dr. Boom, Mad Genius wasn't annoying enough, get ready for discovered Sn1p Sn4ps from Omega Assembly or the hero power. With 9 mana you can play 3 of them (because Echo), they have rush from Boom and by trading each of them summons two 1/1 that also gain rush.
Plus the two warrior cards that got buffed are also mechs that can be discovered.
Gloop Sprayer: Good - guarantees Lucentbark off of Psychmelon. Mulchmuncher: Barley matters. Sure, it can come down with 1 less reduction, but there still aren't enough Treants.
Necromechanic: Great - So good now. Punishes not being able to remove it in a way similar to Shaw. Boom-Zooka: Doesn't matter - This card wasn't bad because it cost too much. It was bad because the synergy isn't there.
Unexpected Results: Good - It's maybe fringe playable now. Certainly worth considering off Magic Trick with Khadgar. Luna's Pocket Galaxy: Interesting - Not sure if it's needed. Giants cheat enough as is. But worth re-exploring.
Crystology: Great - It was already among the best cards in Paladin. Now it's even better into Galvanizer on 2. Glowstone Technician: Great - It was already playable in mech Paladin, now it's faster.
Extra Arms: Great - Cleric into this will spiral games early. Probably an opening strong enough to make Priest competitive. Cloning Device: Doesn't matter - Again, the problem with this card wasn't that it cost too much.
Pogo-Hopper: Good - Still slow overall as an archetype, but the synergy with Tak and Witchwood Piper is serious and worth investigating. Violet Haze: Doesn't matter - Now it's in line with things like Dragon Roar. But that doesn't make it good.
The Storm Bringer: Good - Still competes with Bloodlust, but now much more reasonable to play onto a board. Probably worth maindecking. Thunderhead: Great - Already among the best cards in Shaman. Probably just worth playing in almost every build now. So good.
Spirit Bomb: Interesting - Nethersoul Buster is now a 5/5 for 4 mana that deals 4 damage, but is that worth playing? Dr. Morrigan: Okay - The deck still isn't there, but at least now she's comparable to Cairne.
Security Rover: Good - You still probably aren't maindecking this, but it's even better off discover. Beryllium Nullifier: Good - See security rover
Sn1p Sn4p: Excellent - I assume the OTK is going to be remedied immediately. This card is still amazing even without the OTK.

I completely agree, I see the whole thing working better in an aggro shell full of mechs. This is what I came up with:

Violet Haze could be an interesting Vendetta activator if there were fewer shitty neutral deathrattles in the game.

Will "More Arms" also cost 2?
I shift between mage and shaman recently, with this buffs I go for full mage.
I really hope mech paladin and hunter be massively in the ladder to put the warriors in check.
Idk man, Dead Ringer can fetch you snip-snap and you don't need exactly Coppertail Imposter, just a mech sticking to the board (which could be easily done through Explodinator or Replicating Menace for example).
Edit: also doable with 3 mana high health mechs such as Bronze Gatekeeper if you're on the coin. Plus, the Extra Arms buff works really well with this whole thing (and mechs in general)

They could have buffer Barnes to 2 mana just to mess with us lol.
