So a little while ago i asked if a hearthstone subscription service could which gives you access to all the cards ever be viable. I was just toying with the thought when i suggested it, and i got a lot of negative responses saying it would be too expensive, make it less F2P, and simultaneously devalue long time collectors collections. Recently i thought of an alternative. What if there was a hearthstone wild subscription that gave you access to all the wild cards in the game, for say, $15 a month. I know i would subscribe but it would definitely hurt wild's F2P aspect, but i don't know many F2P players that use wild format. Also you can't get wild packs so this would be crucial to new players trying to enter wild. Thoughts?
So everyone told you your idea was bad and your next great idea is to suggest the same exact thing but on wild? Just WOW lol
Also you CAN buy wild packs, you can't do it in-game but you can actually do it through the blizzard store website.
The idea overall is flawed, it wouldn't only shit on older players that got their cards slowly but it would also be way more expensive in the long run as you would have to keep paying money every month in order to keep the cards instead of just earning them and being able to simply keep them, move on with that idea dude.
I don't think it would be a good thing, but props to you for trying again. It was better than the last suggestion and if you keep on trying I'm sure you will get the balance right.
I would love a subscription model, but I guess we're in the minority here. But honestly in a wild-only subscription I probably wouldn't even be interested that much. If anything it really should include all the cards. Really sad to see that others don't like that. I also don't really understand it because it could be done as an alternative way for people like us. FeelsBadMan
You're asking for the entire set for $60 an expansion (4 months between sets).
No, "more people buying into it to offset" does not work. That's WHY the market moved away from subscriptions to the F2P model in the first place: they get far more money if they ask only a few to put a lot in than asking a lot of people to put a little in AND they get a larger number of players on top of it. That's not greedy. If you're working I doubt you would be willing to accept a 75% pay cut for the same amount of work either.
If a subscription model is going to be offered, it's going to have to be close to the above cost to make it worthwhile compared to keeping it as is. That means closer to $40/month. Otherwise, it'll be better to not offer an subscription.
It's nice to consider a world where you can bypass the cash shop mess in a F2P game and get everything for a low price. But it'll remain just as much a pipe dream as "why can't I get a legendary every pack?" unless you look at it from a business perspective, which is WHY we keep saying it'll cost too much.
Are you willing to buy said subscription for $40/month? Do you know a lot of others who would?

again it would only be for wild so you would have to wait for the expansion to rotate out before you could use it's cards
Also, for both wild and standard cards, yess i would pay $40 a month i already pay about $60 a month or more o the game (i spend 20 each week and often more)

You could spend your free time doing something more useful rather than theorizing about things that will never happen
Why not for newbies?
The goal of all life is death.

It costs about $200 to get an entire set.

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.

You can play the standard sets in wild. Your point isn't a good argument.
im aware u can lol all i play is wild but you wouldn't get access to standsets till after they rotate youd have to craft or buy them like you do now
