The meta is a mess and it will be like that for the next two expansions. Why? Because all 3 expansions have been designed with the assumption that Baku and Gen will still be in Standard for another year. Most cards have probably been postponed for 2020 because of how powerful they would have been in Odd or Even.
So best thing we can do is wait until next rotation. Hope for the best, expect the worst.
I had the exact same thought recently. I have all the cards for any decent deck (and by that I mean with a winrate above 45%) and there is not a single one I would want to play. Repetitive.
To quote just one of the answers from the first page. My question to all of you feeling the same:
Why do you think this game will ever be different, thus why do you keep playing it? I mean, they just spit out cards every few months and here you are - the same bullshit over and over and over.
With cards limited to 4-5 rows of text, their reluctance to introduce new keywords, their inability to change anything else except cards, why do you think it'll ever be a different game?! You WILL get bored of it. Some classes and decks WILL be OP. You WILL ask for nerfs. The meta WILL be stale and stupid.
Why do you guys waste time with this game is beyond me. There are so many others out there with huge replay value. I'm not gonna say that Magic is any different, because it is not, BUT because of the more complex mechanics and more design freedom it makes you FEEL better for longer because there are many more possible outcomes and such. Play it enough and you'll end up in the same situation.
The meta right now tempo rogue khadgar mage silence priest or nomi priest Imo most boring deck to play against reminds cthun Druid. Speaking of Druid let’s call it as it is F2p Druid. Hunter is deathrattle or spell warlock is some kind of zoo. Warrior is bomb or fatigue shaman is big shaman or some kinda control paladin is dragon or buff I really don’t know what they are.
the only deck I think is waste of time to go against is nomi priest. “Look at me I can cycle through my deck and then play nomi “ so fun so wow

Nomi Priest is basically:
Are you aggro? yes/no
(yes) ok gg
(no) ->
Do you have three board clears for 42/42 in stats?

This whole post is special. "Magic is not any better, but it makes you FEEL better"? What the hell?
The sooner people realise that ALL CCG's have the same problems the better. Go talk to some Shadowverse players about the Meta. Or Eternal Players. It's all the same.
FYI, every company 'Spits out new cards every few Months'. Otherwise the game would truly be stale.
Your overriding dislike of Hearthstone is making you post some utter trash dude.
Yeah, there's a lot of RNG generation/discover and highrolling going around, (Mana Cyclone, Boom's hero power, Elysiana, Marked Shot, Hagatha, Lackeys, Underbelly Angler, etc). Stuff like Giant on 6 (to Call it immediately), Whispering Woods, Boom, Van Cleef too early highroll way too much as well, and even when they don't most classes can't deal with it as easily as it is to create those scenarios.
The classes with the least amount of RNG generation and highrolling are also in the bottom 3, curiously.
Also, except for Hunter and maybe Shaman, there isn't a lot of diversity in the other classes. Hunter have Bomb, Secret, Midrange, with beasts or mechs. Shaman has Murloc, Big, Control.
Warrior has three decks, but they are like the Druids of the year: the win con changes, but the shell of 20-25 cards are the same among them.
Mage is only relevant based around Conjurer's Calling, Rogue around Miscreant, Raiding Party and burn from hand, Druid is only Token, Warlock is only Zoo, Priest is only Nomi, Paladin is only Mech.
Why do you guys waste time with this game is beyond me.
Why you are reading Hearthpwn forums is beyond me, let alone posting on them.
Maybe because i care a bit and wish it was a different game.
Also to trigger children like yourself :)
@endlesstides: yes Magic is A BIT different because of its complexity. This means you reach the boredom later than with HS. And yes, every CCG is the same - because they only spit out cards and don't change some designs in small ways to make it feel new or to let us discover new stuff harder (i.e. Work for it, make it feel worth, but not by grinding).
For example, what if you had to discover the expansion's legendaries through something interesting instead of making card reveals? I know, it's not a design change in the game, but i'm not a game designer to suggest them.
Yes, and this has been the biggest problem in this game for ages. The interesting cards always suck, the interesting decks always suck. Why? Because Aggro decks are way overpowered in this game, and have been almost since the beginning, and that is what most people are going to play, because they have the quickest games and the highest win rate (and the cheapest dust cost most times). You can also throw in whatever broken wombo combo decks are around as well. Whatever "cool" new cards are ever in a new set, all you have to care about is whatever the OP little aggro minion or spell is, because that is what will control the meta (Raiding Party, Patches, Lesser Emerald Spellstone etc.). Creative deckbuilding in this game is just a meme, if it isn't an aggro deck or a deck with a crazy win condition you will get slaughtered. Every time a new set comes out or a nerf happens I get back into this game and hope it will be different and it never is after things settle. It's the same story different day and I end up leaving again to play better games. There is something seriously flawed in the balance of this game and new cards or nerfs never fix things for long.
The game is boring because it's not balanced and then it gets polarized. Everyone is playing the strongest deck until almost everyone starts to counter the strongest deck, then some variety of decks may appear but after that the strongest decks resurge again in a loop that will end when nerfs/rotation/new content arrives.

Cubelock, razakus priest, jade druid and quest rogue were the strongest decks during their time (quest rogue could be argued) and none of those were aggressive in the slighest.
No need to blame the meta on your bias towards aggro.
I have to admit, despite all the bullshit, the RR meta was....way more fun.
Like sure, you had your highrolling, your one-card win conditions, your Baku/Genn, but at the end of the day there was some real diversity of playstyle. Pretty much every class had at least 2 playable decks, and even the meme decks had a realistic chance of beating meta decks, because they also had access to all the broken cards.
I loved playing Discard Warlock because it actually had the tools to beat something like Odd Paladin or Midrange Hunter, just because of cards like Defile, Bloodreaver Gul'dan and Corpsetaker.
No, after the powerlevel has been reduced drastically only the really broken cards stick out. Mage is basically defined by a single overpowered card, only 3 classes have Hero cards and Warrior'S is the best, and Rogue is the only class with a tempo deck that's comparable to the previous ones in terms of consistency.
Partially this is because we just have very few cards in comparison right now...but I also think it's kind of upsetting that legitimately good cards are not seeing play because they are overshadowed by the insane ones (Gral the Shark used to be run in some Rogue decks, but right now he's just pointless beause the ROgue class has gotten all about hyper tempo)
the only class that actually has some deck diversity is Hunter, and even there it's basically all either banking on Zul'jin or just abusing the Magnetize mechanic.

This part of the post isn't wrong.
i like this meta tbh...everything is better than aggro shaman meta

What i dislike the most about the current meta is is such a highrole meta. Games are decided by turn 3~4 most of the time...
Yeah, there's a lot of RNG generation/discover and highrolling going around, (Mana Cyclone, Boom's hero power, Elysiana, Marked Shot, Hagatha, Lackeys, Underbelly Angler, etc). That's all i was trying to say.
vs. Conjurer Mage it is bit of the same;
Can you answer my turn 3 or 4 Giant? No? GG.
vs. Warrior (as Zoo);
He can clear the board turn 4-5-6? Yes? GG.
There are too many of these examples at the moment.
Also at the moment i think ~60% of my games are vs. Warrior / Rogue / Mage (3 out of 9 classes!).
Out of the other ~40% most of the time it is Hunter / (Nomi) Priest.
Shaman fell bit of the radar? Druid and Warlock (Zoo) i see the least at the moment.
I am also curious how high legend players feel about the meta.
I saw Asmodai play the same guy like 5 times in a row (Conjurer Mage mirror).
Same for TheoHS (Warrior mirror).
I guess the are ok with it, because the aren't really vocal about it.

This game is becoming boring mainly because of the heavy reliance of luck, or we called RNG.
The game is boring because it's not balanced and then it gets polarized. Everyone is playing the strongest deck until almost everyone starts to counter the strongest deck, then some variety of decks may appear but after that the strongest decks resurge again in a loop that will end when nerfs/rotation/new content arrives.
I will crush you!

Me too. Lots of differensiert decks even if Rogue occure more often. But their will always be some decks/classes that are more popular than others.

I tried having fun once. It was awful.
It is true. Current meta is boring.
