hsreplay and vicioussyndicate all say priest is in garbage pile, tier 4. Is there any priest deck out there thats tier 2?
What is your goal? Priest has at least 3 arche types for standard that can go rank 5, so for the biggest player base, it’s perfectly viable.
High legend it may very well be a different story, so need to know your level of ambition.
I personally played Nomi/Miracle Priest to rank 3 this season, and I empathically disagree with previous poster saying it is boring. It is hard to pilot effectively, and you need to know which resources to use in which matchups.
It was in the days of Yore that Priest was good. Really good. Under such clamour, the people didst cry out: "Ye godse! Thys Pryst is powerede to the extreme! Save us!" And lo, the Gods did dain to listen and took away all of the Priest's fancy toys and powerful minions. And there was a wailing and gnashing of teeth. And the people didst once more cry out: "Our godse! Why hast thou forsaken our favourite class? Art thou merely a small, and indie collection of deities?"
And thus the cycle didst ever continue. And the Great Winter God laughed to himself and said, "Forsooth, but hast thou seen how much fun the Rogue is having...?"
Priest core set needs some fine tuning, it's about time Blizzard acknowledge this. While on the topic of core sets, Blizzard REALLY needs to evergreen something for Paladin that synergizes with Silverhand Recruits because at current they are the only class that has a hero power which doesn't seem do anything. It's just so weird, every other class makes use of hero power in some meaningful way, Paladin is the one where you have to wonder why they even have that hero power, it just doesn't jive with the class itself. The hero power doesn't really make sense in general.
