Hi, I would just like to share my experience as former F2p player turned P2P player. I am currently experiencing fatigue with this game and I don't understand why.
I started playing this game on October 1 2018. I started as an F2P player but slowly turned to a paying player.
During the Boomsday era, I was fully F2P with Whizzbang as my only deck.
Druing the Rastakhan era, I bought all promotional offers(except preorder). This time, I no longer needed Whizzbang as I had 1 tier 1 deck and plenty of tier 2 decks and some suboptimal versions of Tier 1 decks.
Finally, I decided to preorder Rise of Shadows and now I'm all caught up. I have 90% of Tier 1-4 decks and still have plenty of dust.
I am a hardcore player. For the past 224 days since I started, I almost always reached the 100 gold limit per day. I checked my wins and it checks out, I have 5615 wins which means I have an average 25 wins on casual/ranked/tavern brawl per day. This is one of the reasons why I caught up fast.and have a fairly decent collection in just a few months.
I'd have to say that the most enjoyable expansion is Rise of Shadows and the worst was Rastakhan's Rumble. However, I don't understand why I don't feel playing HS right now anymore even though I'm in a VERY good spot(collection-wise) right now.
I feel like there is nothing more to strive for anymore now that I got everything I want.
Maybe I do understand why I feel fatigue, I feel like this game is very vanilla and doesn't have any worthwile achievements/rewards to strive for once you already have a decent collection.
I think this type of fatigue happens with any activity you really dive into. You clearly play a lot and have reached some of your goals (good collection). I would suggest finding your own challenges in lieu of official achievements. Try some crazy combo decks. Try Wild (though the collection would be an issue). Try you hand at deck building and look for some interesting new strategies and synergies (a la Chump on YouTube). There is even a reddit thread (or is it here?) as I recall with frequent challenges to keep things interesting. The other option, as with any activity, is to take a break and then come back later when things are feeling fresh. Good luck.
try creating your own decks, and meme decks its a lot of fun, also we have a new expansion always so i never felt fatigue of hearthstone (play since ungoro)
If you aren't driven to reach a high place in Ranked, yeah this game doesn't hold much for you outside collecting cards. No disrespect intended but didn't you know that getting into Hearthstone? This should have been the most obvious and inevitable outcome. Also have you tried to build new decks from the ground up? This game has ways to enjoy it infinitely but you have to want to do those things, from you post it seems all you care about is getting meta decks and getting as many wins as possible...MTG would suit your play structure much better.

If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
One of the fundamental draws of Hearthstone is the feeling that you're always playing for more; you play for gold, you play to win seasons-end rewards, you play to earn packs, and that pays off when you're able to convert that currency into packs and into cards you can play to make your dream – a higher rank for instance – a reality. What happens when you've gotten all the cards you want, can play all the decks you want, and have reached all those goals? Another set of motivations have to kick in, then:
1. You like Hearthstone for the mechanics and really like TCGs, but Hearthstone is the only one you enjoy so you'll keep coming back to it
2. You find something else to enjoy about it, such as Arena, or Monster Hunt, or the weekly tavern brawls
3. You enjoy the experience of opening packs and being a completionist, going so far as to craft a golden collection
4. You enjoy crafting your own decks, and perhaps you're waiting in anticipation of the next expansion to express your creativity.
5. You're a competitive player, and you want to climb the ranks and then maintain that rank, so you have to play to keep Legend or what have you, and you make the most out of the ranked experience that way.
But if none of those are things you feel like doing, then I'd say feeling burned out is a pretty rational response to having completed the 'objectives' of Hearthstone. Go onto another game, see how you feel – enjoy yourself! If you feel yourself wanting to come back and have another go, do that. You've already spent the money on HS, so there's no use in feeling you've "wasted" it. You got all the experiences you wanted from how you spent your money, presumably, so don't think you're beholden to the game for having spent it.

i dont know why i play lol, i just play because its my fucking favorite game

I am currently looking at getting all tier 1 wild meta decks as my next goal. However, it feels really expensive as there are no options to purchase wild packs using gold. I might purchase all adventures someday but purchasing the old expansions is a no-no for me unless thre is a promotion. I would rather spend my money on the latest expansion. This Wild goal feels impractical right now.
I would probably take a break for a while. (By break, I mean playing half as much)
Collecting cards is a part of the game but not the only one! I find myself having piles of dust saved up because I don't like to craft decks I don't have time to learn to play. Often, I "waste" dust on goldens I play a lot instead to get some "value" out of it.
Playing that much will eventually make you tired of the game. Also, "the goal is the journey" is very often the case for grindinf in games. Reaching your endgame is nice, but it often feels anticlimatic to finally get that amazing gear or deck.
1. That's right, I really like TCGs and Hearthstone is the only one I really like right now. I would love to try Magic Arena but I only play on mobile so that's not an option for me.
2. Yeah, I enjoy solo content too. I have finished all of them already, there's no more incentive in playibg more. GOOD Tavern brawls helped me keep on playing during Rastakhan Rumble era.
3. You bet, this is the reason why I like TCGs. The thrill of opening packs. But going for golden completionist is not practical for me.
4. This does not apply to me.
5. I don't plan on going competitve/pro. I don't feel the need to prove myself by going high in the ladder. At some point it becomes, "Who played the most this month consistently". Getting at least rank 5 is already enough for me.
You are right, I won't feel like I wasted my money, after all I can still use RoS within tthe next two years in standard. I might take a break for a while. Maybe until the next Nerf.
I started as a P2P player just out of the beta. I stopped buying packs with real money after about LOE maybe a bit earlier.
Unless it was an adventure I just couldn't justify spending money on a card game where I didn't actually own all the cards. Of course I've experienced fatigue several times, despite my large collection that ive ammassed over the years but I pretty much come back to spend my saved gold.
For me the kind of fatigue that is turning me away from not just hearthstone but online tcgsin general is the real lack of community feel. Sure it's nice to talk on forums but I just don't get the same satisfaction that I do when I play at a table with physical cards. Maybe it's just me.
Coming back to Hearthstone though, I agree that it is extremely basic and a wealth of extra features would not just be enjoyable but also bring some of the old pros back.

IMO Break up your hearthstone with another game(s), that is completely different. Currently I am playing a lot of Mordhau, which is a medieval armor/knights/swords+shields multiplayer hack 'em up - completely different from hearthstone. Then when I want to chill I fire up hearthstone and enjoy it very much. Too much of a good thing always leads to fatigue.
Not trying to be that dude but if you're tired of the game and you haven't even been playing for a year then maybe Hearthstone is not the game for you, like yes you maybe like it but not really as a long-term investment on both time and money. I've been playing for a little over 3 years now and and I never really felt tired of it, like yes there have been some shitty metas and awful decks to face here and there but I never really felt like I needed to stop playing, tbh if I don't play for like 2-3 days I start to feel the "itch" to come back to it.
It may also be that you just burned yourself too fast, I mean getting 100g every single day (or most of them) is way too much, I've have done it multiple times but I had to play a lot that day. Even if you played a tier 1 deck, let's say the best deck of any said meta you would need to play like an average of 45 games and have a 70% winrate consistenly (Which is an insanely high winrate and almost impossible to keep day after day) and that number should be higher as you were a new player and your winrate shouldn't be anywhere close to that number so playing 50+ games a day sounds crazy to me, like yes there are days when we all do that but doing it everyday seems nuts to me, could also be that.
Finally there's to say that what you described is the nature of everything in life. You see something you like, you don't have it so you work hard for it, then you get it (By any means) and you start using it and there you can either discover it wasn't really that great, it only looked great so you get bored of it gradually or the thing IS really that great and you start to overuse it and it will eventually become boring as well, it's just human nature so don't worry that much, if you really like the game you'll keep finding reasons to come back to it and if not you'll just drop it on a couple months probably.
Take some time off of the game, or play less. Grinding a game really makes it less enjoyable sometimes. Play a different game or do something else in your freetime. Ps- don't play fortnite
Hey man. Did you achieve top 1000 , top 500 legend, top 100, top 10, number 1? According to your post you play a lot, so this should be a proper goal! I have only achieved 1000 so far, but with lack of achievements you should create your own. Gl hf
I'm not convinced that the OP has identified a "paradox" - he played 50+ games every day for eight or nine months, turning HS into his full-time job. Presumably, over-playing the game for the better part of a year explains his current lack of motivation to continue with the game. I'd recommend taking some time off - the game doesn't make any promises that it will remain as fresh as a daisy if you play it six or seven or eight hours every day.

I feel ya. The game having achievements would make it so much better!
feel your thoughts started november 2018, but ddnt turn p2p , but feel you there is lack of achievement and purpose after some time.
