Surely you can get this kind of items in that way, but I am curious about the frequency and any distinction about if is a pack bought with real money, vs other free/gold packs,
In general terms, I think the pity counter is respected no matter what, but the probability of getting legendaries is different previous tho reach that limit if the pack comes from real money. Have no real evidence but wanted to know if someone else may noticed something similar.
no. ive have more pack luck with my f2p account than with my p2w account. open less packs in f2p of course but the rate of legendaires and golden cards is better on my f2p. just blind luck
What if you buy coins via Amazon? You're saying that because those coins were bought with money and not earned in game, that Blizzard both knows this, and has an algorithm ready to give me shittier pack RNG?
When put like that it seems pretty fucking crazy to me, what do you think OP?

I have not opened packs in this way, not even sure about the process , but if what I am thinking is true, they (Blizzard) should make the same distinction that the ones bought with real money, if they can have track of when was your last legendary in order to warranty you another one after certain number of packs, why would not keep track of the origin of the pack and consider them in different ways?
I've seen this conspiracy in every game that offers free and paid methods of buying packs, loot boxes etc. There's a section of the fifa community that is similarly moronic and can't grasp that paid packs are the same as free packs. They ignore any evidence to the contrary because they have a 'theory' or a 'feeling'. All it takes is one person of relatively low intelligence to get a good pull from a paid pack and then at some point in the following month or two, open some free packs and get little of value. That's all it takes to convince these sorts.

And this here is the problem. Things like religious institutions love people like you You don't need evidence or facts to become convinced about something. You'll just belive it. Even my 10 year old understands that they need evidence to believe something and if, after looking, none can be found, there's a good chance its as real as the tooth fairy.
If you've no evidence, what has led you to think this way?

Well, given that we can't see the source code of servers we can only check the behaviour and statistically compare, most comments here are mentioning this is not the case, which may invalid the theory, but I cannot know if only keep with my impression that is what I am asking, as you mentioned one case does not rules a reality.
Big numbers must drive the result, not isolated cases, we agree, but I cannot get big numbers with my money :(
no. ive have more pack luck with my f2p account than with my p2w account. open less packs in f2p of course but the rate of legendaires and golden cards is better on my f2p. just blind luck
is proposing exactly the opposite that may be also valid, but need to know if other people has the same scenario, in my case I have not made the comparison because have no track of the my f2p but seems as a easy way to track, not only by me but by others and it may work in one way, in the other or equally as most have also the impression, and would be also interesting know about other with this same results.

Hey, I am the first telling everyone is an impression, creating a discussion looking for any kind of evidence about something is what the religions hate and usually trends to stop.
Science work in this way, you have an hypothesis... go and look for it, if you are wrong, you are wrong no problem even demonstrating that something is wrong is science.
I am not assuring that it works in that way, look at my posts, if this wake up some demons inside you because other games or experience is ok, but check that I am not selling anyone the idea, but open the discussion and looking for others experience.
Edit: just adding to respond your question, longer story: I keep track of the packs I open mostly for pity counter, but not keep track of the ones paid with money or gold, other that the order, I first open the pre-purchased ones and then go and buy with gold and open them, and even removing the first 10 packs legendary the the last ones have lower legendary appearance or higher pity counters that is the same. That is what I noticed in my records and, again, as mentioned for me that is not real evidence, may be a coincidence, but if some others are interested we can collect information considering larger numbers and check results.

The fucking gall of this person who is obviously trolling to do the switcheroo on a comment that perfectly called you out for wasting everyone's time with your disingenuous bullshit. You've stated you don't even open packs, or play the game? So why is this of interest to you when in reality you have no frame of reference to the game at all? I get you want to troll and it's fun to play along but it's not amusing when you discredit yourself with your own ramblings. You have no intention of discourse, anyone familiar to this site can see this 2 seconds after reading your first post.

I wished it was like this lol My preoder packs are always shit af I always low-roll them, on the other hand I usually have above average luck with in.game currency packs. this week I got 3 legendaries back to back to back, never had this happen with packs that I purcheased with real money.
Is there no end to the stupidity of this tinfoil community? When it turns out that you are trolling, which surely is inevitable, kudos, you got your coveted replies.
Let’s just apply a shrivel of logic to this, from a Blizzard business point of view.
By applying a secret difference to paid vs. gold packs, Blizzard will gain nothing, but risk everything. People won’t go overboard buying packs compared to using gold, as they are unaware of any advantage, so no business gained. Blizzard would, however, risk a huge media shitstorm that would quake the player base, if they were ever proven to be fiddling with packs like that. Something very easy to prove if it were the case, which only increases their risk.
TLDR: No business gain, only risk. Take off your tinfoil hat and stop trolling.
No, packs bought for money don't give you more legendaries than packs bought for gold.
However, in my experience, those "special promotion" bundles that they offer on sale every now and then (like this one) that you can buy only for money, will give you more dust value than regular packs.
Also, again in my experience, classic packs that you get from quests used to give more dust value than regular packs. But for the last year or so, it's 40 dust all the way.

There is no difference, it might seem like that sometimes due to RNG But ultimately they're both the same.
