I was just going through my collection and realized that I have a ton of extra cards. I tend not to dust unless I need to craft something specific. Anyway I decided to craft something specific and I realized that it would be really nice to have more options and control over what you "mass dust" rather than all or one at a time. I want to hang on to my extra rare, epic, and legendaries just in case they get nerfed and I can get extra dust. I just want to mass dust the commons. Or what if I don't care about goldens and want to dust all of my goldens. Or what if I do care about goldens and want to dust all the non goldens until I only have 2 of each card total including both goldens and non goldens?
What does everyone else think? Would you like to see more granularity and options in your collection on how you organize it or how you mass dust cards?
just type extra and all your extra cards will appear, assuming you have 2 non-gold and 1+ golden
Better yet, type owned:3+ and only true 3+ copies will appear, if you are someone who likes to keep 2 of regular and 2 of golden copies. If you just type "extra" they count as 4 of the same and show up, even if you dont actually want to DE those and it is just annoying to have to go through more unnecessary stuff and pay attention to it to not DE that by mistake.
I am aware of this but if you do that then you have to go through and dust everything by hand. I want to be able to click one button and mass dust all my extra commons only for example. Or I want to mass dust all my extra non golden versions of cards that I have goldens of etc. This is just a quality of life change that I think they could implement.

Yes, i know what you wanted in a first place, it would be a welcome feature for sure. I was just reacting to Bee's suggestion that there is an alternative one, better one for those who like to keep golden cards and do DE cards manually so you have less work with skipping the ones that appear in "extra", but you want to keep. But yes, more options than all or nothing button would be nice.

I see now what you meant. I agree it is nice that we can filter in more complicated ways now. Definitely better than nothing. Would be nice to see some of these QoL adjustments get some dev time and attention.

Yes it would, but sadly in this case i think that is just wishful thinking :(
If i were to go as far as to spin some conspiracy theories, anything but the current system works against Blizzard, cause now many players, id even argue majority of them, just hit DE ALL button, so they potentially lose on some future dust they would get from some cards they would be saving otherwise = less dust for players = more profit for Blizzard. But yeah, lets not go that far :D
they will.never implement a mass disenchant option, just because some noob might press it by mistake and.lose everything
Wait What? You know there is already a mass disenchant button in the game right? This thread is about adding more granular controls in between all or nothing. I don't think anyone is suggesting they add a button to disenchant EVERYTHING even non extra cards. (But even if they did they could add a "mass undo" button since on individual crafts and dustings you get an undo button.)

I agree with you it is probably wishful thinking. I just wanted to see if it was something that others have wished for too and to start a discussion about how people manage their collections. I used to just auto dust everything after every pack then I realized that I didn't need the dust so I stopped doing that and started saving my extra cards until I actually had something to craft.
That is a crazy but plausible conspiracy theory but you are right we don't need to go that far.

This doesn’t answer the Real issue that you’ll have to dust all the filtered collection by hand. I’ll definitely want more control over mass dusting..

I do think that at least auto dust extras should be filterable by expansion rather than all or nothing.
