I'm here to convince you guys that in control warrior, Azalina herself can replace Elysiana + Banker/Brewmaster and even perform better in certain matchups. The only matchups that you need Elysiana are Control Warrior mirror, a little bit of Control Shaman and Control Priest.
For Control Warrior mirror, you just don't play any card draw and at the end of game dump your hand out to make pressure, then copy their hand to get Elysiana + Banker/Brewmaster. I won ton of mirror games in Legend with this strategy.
For Control Shaman, it's basically the same. Don't draw and play Azalina at the end for Elysiana + sometimes Shudder.
For Control Priest, it's even better than Elysiana because you don't have to worry about opposing Madam Lazul getting them extra Elysiana.
In almost all other matchups, Azalina is better than Elysiana because it's not a dead card and it may give you a slight chance of turning the table against combo decks (e.g., Malygos decks).
The only downside I can think of is Bomb Warrior. Azalina can't clear Bombs. But Bomb warriors are getting replaced by Control Warriors, especially in Legend.
The biggest thing is that Azalina saves you a deck slot for other techs suitable for your meta. My current list runs Deathwing to help with Nomi Priest and Khadga mage as well as a spellbreaker for Magnetic decks.
I'll answer your question OP: most players do not build their decks, or even switch out a few cards, they just run the list and call it a day. You're absolutely right btw, Azalina fits perfectly both in the deck and the current meta. Don't expect things to change ever though.

If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
I don't know whenever I add Azalina in my odd warrior deck (wild of course) I'm constantly facing aggro decks, I don't have this problem in Elysiana control warrior, the matchmaking system is very punishing towards certain tech choices, and totally ignores others.
Are town criers worth it? If it was me i would replace them with acolytes.
For the rest the deck looks pretty solid
Two Town Criers are worth it if you run two Militia Commanders and Darius Crowley, which I do because they are terrific against Rogue and not bad in other matchups. Acolytes are fine too, but I don't like it because it might overdraw you.
Well, Elysiana and Azalina kinda do the same job but the first one is a 7/7 for 8 mana and the second one is a 3/3 for 7 mana
I don't play Control Warrior myself but I don't see Azalina making a comeback
at that stage of the game you don't really care, it's a 6+ mana card that doesn't impact the board in any case, plus you don't have to run brewmaster.. which just saying... plays a 3/2 for 10 mana...
That's why you use a banker. Replacing your hand as opposed to negating fatigue is why you run this card. Could it be more helpful? Sure. Will it be more helpful against control decks in the long run? I don't think so.

I am saying that the tempo doesn't matter at that point in the control mirror.. it's just about value, azalina actually gives you more value since you can be a little more free using your removal..
you negate fatigue by copying their archivist, unless it's the last card in their deck you play azalina exactly when they are 1 card from fatigue so 29/30 of the time you are doing better than playing archivist yourself.

Because it's slow as fuck in this disgusting aggro game.
I see what you're saying, even in the mirror you can then Azalina their Elysiana. You know they're only going to play it right at the end.
I don't see enough Nomi Priest to tech a Deathwing but I would swap it for another Omega Devastator, that card is the nuts.

People used to play Azalina in CW when Shudderwock Shaman and Combo Druid were everywhere, but you are right it is certainly worth giving a try now.

Great idea; trying to get 500 warrior wins this month.
