Those aren’t good though. The raw power level of token druid is good, but it’s so teched against, while people are still trying to make Murloc Shaman work.

That's ballsy of you to claim the current highest win-rate deck isn't good
@op: i don't. I'd rather spend my time in something i enjoy - some strategy games, one new mmorpg, etc. HS is neither. There is no strategy in it. If your deck's key card is at the bottom, good luck winning any matchup that finishes in at most 20 turns. That's not strategy, that's adaptation forcing.
All of these stupid coin flips don't make for anything resembling a strategy. Quite the opposite - extreme frustration when you lose because of stupid and lucky things. Yes, winning because of them happens too, but why should I have to coin-flip every time for my enjoyment? I'd rather play something that allows 100% control and just hone my skills until i get as good at it as i want.
this may sound weird to you but maybe card games just aren't for you then LUL
Is it because you enjoy netdecking from day 1 and crush the ladder or do you enjoy using meme decks? Do you care about ranked at all or are you a casual who finds fun from unique interactions?
There is a lot of bias in the way you worded this, so since the community can be a little hostile at times I would really proof your threads before you make them. It also seems like a user was quick to point out that this thread already exists elsewhere so try to spend a few minutes in the future to ensure you aren't making a duplicate thread. To actually answer your question- it is because I can play the game and scroll the internet or get caught up on TV shows/web-series/movies all at the same time. I even do my work at home occasionally while in game. HS is entertaining, and on top of it all I have already invested enough into the game to stay with it no matter how seriously I play.

I've seen people playing Murloc Shaman in Wild lately in the Rank 4-5 range. It can really snowball hard! AND they play it with the freakin' QUEST!!! I was shocked to see it not just once but multiple times last night.

Three very good points that I was also going to make. As far as the investment side goes, if I decide at some point to stop pre-ordering ever again, I'm likely going to still play in some form until the game no longer functions, or try to sell my account on ebay (is that legal?).
And to be fair, the last post like this one was from April 2, 2019. This one is from April 28, 2019. That's a whole 26 days later! People's answers could have changed! Mine hasn't:
The same reason I started playing: I enjoy it. Sometimes I play meta decks to get some climbing in, other times I meme or experiment with new ideas. But I only play if I’m enjoying myself. Even if I’m winning games, if I don’t feel like I’m having fun I stop and play something else, or go do something totally different.
One addition: Lately I've been playing more Wild. I'm actually up to Rank 4-5 and playing a rather strange iteration of Odd Warrior that includes 2x Grim Patron. It's not the best, but it's fun and has a positive win rate right now. Still too early to say good or bad though. Needs some refinement as I climb, I'm sure.
I love coming up with new decks and ideas. I lean heavily towards control type decks and stay well away from tempo and aggro for the most part because I don't find the decks as interesting to play.
Of course I like to win games from time to time and climb ladder and unfortunately, the game has become so narrow in its scope if you want to do that. Especially in the last few metas, decks have become so refined you have totally abysmal win rates if you try and homebrew in standard.
Even last meta you could play around with decks like Tesspionage and still get decent results and it seemed like there was a lot more room to flex cards in and out of strict meta refined lists. That definitely has to do with how many cards we have lost but it's made the game less fun for me right now.

It doesn't sound weird, but it's partly wrong. I did play some card games that I enjoyed. Right now i'm in the "strategy/rpg genres" mood :)
Nevertheless, when my card game mood returns, HS is not going to be the game I care about. Just as a few examples: slay the spire, thea 2 the shattering (half strategy half card game), and 2-3 others that i can't remember the names of now, LOL.

I actually didnt see it yeah. But considering the time gap, I think it is normal. Also, there is no bias in my question. Last part was just a thinking in both ways.

It's the way you said the first sentence, and yeah I understand there is about a month gap, but its a pretty live community. No point in not just commenting on that thread. It still gets brought to front page and you will still get the communities' attention.
I started out of curiosity a couple months before Old Gods dropped, having played no more than a handful of PokeMon TCG online, with no other CCG experience. I fell in love with the art and how the card designs drew from WoW lore, found the basic mechanics easy to grasp, and immediately enjoyed how simple it was to pick up and get a game in anywhere I wanted.
Once I found out my best buddy from college played and had done so since beta, I found it easier than ever to actually dig into the strategy and find out my strengths/weaknesses. I learned how to follow and read the meta, the aggro/control roles each player assumes in every match, and so on.
Now I play because I love the challenge of ladder and either running with or against the meta game. My buddy and I chat with other friends who play about our wins and losses, HTC results, crafting advice, all kinds of stuff. It's as much a means to keep in touch with friends that don't live close by anymore as it is a fun challenge that fits my life as a young parent perfectly. No worries about when my kid or wife needs me; worst case, I lose a star on ladder and kill a streak. I can make that up later when they're asleep. i'm not going to lose progress and feel the weight of that loss like Dark Souls' games often leave you feeling.
Yeah, Hearthstone is a blast, even if it infuriates me from time to time ("Well met! Well met! Well met! Well met! Well met!" Ugh...).

Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
I do not know for sure, I like card games, and Hearthstone is different from most because it does not require much to have fun, so I used to play a little and stop for a few months, but now with the new expansion, I got to where ever before had imagined, and I am thinking of playing more competitively now.
Sorry for the bad English, it's not my native language.

because im very good at it, i never been such good in a videogame and i find it satisfying, and ofc the game is cool
mess with the best, die like the rest

I play it when I'm sitting at the toilet. It's better than most games for taking a good long shit, but wouldn't play on pc cause it's boring as hell.
I like to collect (digital) cards
Nothing but ash!

It's portable magic and doesn't require clicking ok 1,000 times a game. It's also just a lot of fun to combo off on people with jank

I play Hearthstone to get away from the craphole known as Destiny 2
To play decks/cards I like & to meme all over people with underplayed combos.

I love card games and TCGs. Playing both MTGA and Hearthstone right now, but especially after the rotation Hearthstone makes quite a lot of fun again.
