I was just playing a control warrior vs. control warrior matchup. He was on his 7th turn of fatigue and I was still drawing cards. I was going to win in a few more turns due to fatigue when the timer hit and called the game a draw. It was sad to lose a game I was eventually going to win, but that's not the point.
This will probably happen in big time tournaments. Some game is going to be decided due to some rather unnecessary turn clock. And even if not unnecessary, by far to early. I was still drawing cards for hell's sake. And no, I wasn't going unlimited. I had 2 uses of the archivist and had taken 3 turns of fatigue damage early in the match. Neither of us had any more cards coming.
So, I petition Blizz to give us another 10 turns at a minimum to avoid the embarrassment of games being decided for no good reason in the tournaments.

You must have missed the memo where Blizzard only cares about aggro players and doesn't care about any match ups that last past the 7 turn mark
My understanding was the turn limit was needed specifically for Dead Man's Hand...now from my knowledge Plot Twist Warlock is the only true infinite deck left, and it's insanely hard to pilot and keep managed. I feel you OP, it shouldn't have to be like that for some arbitrary reason that isn't relevant to Standard.

If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
I bet you a preorder and 100 more packs that never happens in a pro-level event.
Worlds clearly shows how the warrior matchup can be trounced, and it never involves 3 Archivists.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.

Why would how I buy cards have anything to do with anything? (I'm a f2p player btw)
It's bait, from an accomplished troll. They just want to shitrake, which is obviously not productive in any sense. Hearthpwn has a healthy community of unproductive trolls who thrive on putting down others, it's pretty sick that's how they get their kicks, but I played WoW back in the day, toxic people are a dime a dozen.

Of course it matters, because then how would that guy ever get to spew his toxicity at a stranger to feel better about himself?
But seriously, I agree with a raise of the turn limit, or even a change in cards that can 'easily' reach it. Draws don't feel good for either player, and the argument of hour-long games is baseless bc ppl voluntarily play a control deck with 2+ Elysianas. They queue up knowing their matches take a long time, and playing for all that time for a draw is ridiculously unsatisfying.
I hit the tun timer multiple times with Benedictus so far. Noone considered him problematic or anything. Why now?
I'm guessing frequency. There are more control decks on ladder that go the distance. I used to play some Fatigue Priest, and the mirror was still a bit frustrating, but much less common than now. +Benedictus is a class card, unlike Elysiana.
Turn limit is fine. Control value is just at retarded levels right now.

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
In those matchups you have to win by tempo or its a draw. I ended up in your situation once and it sucks,, but might have been able to make stronger tempo plays earlier. I switched to a bomb version of warrior with a greed package and much better off with that than just straight control warrior..
Is this a joke, lol? Turn limit too small? With the current limit, one game lasts almost an hour...
Maybe you should consider not playing borewarrior, if turn limit has become an issue for you.
I was thinking the same thing, but I didn't dare say it. If I said it, I'd be reported for trolling. You must have bribed a moderator. LOL. But seriously, you're right on. It's a game with anonymous people. If I am willing to give an hour of my time to some unknown person on a game, I must be super leisurely and have nothing to do. I should spend my time looking for a job or maybe try my hand at learning a trade or apply myself more at my university studies. Or just do something productive for the benefit of society.
I also want to take this opportunity to make a public service announcement: If you have this much time to play a card game on your computer, let's say an hour or more, you are a socially unaware person who should be doing more for your community, maybe volunteering to help the homeless or finding ways to donate your time to good causes and working for the greater good. I mean, where is your threat complaining about how unfair world poverty or unfair wages can be? Nope. You took your extra time to have a Control Warrior match go into super mega awesome beyond the imagination of overtime and you even had more extra time to whine about it on here.

A while back there was a tournament somewhere that two people playing Dead Man's Hand Warrior against each other ended up hitting the turn limit. I believe there was a clip of it in an old Trolden video. May not have been a top level pro tournament, but it was still a tournament being streamed. So big enough? Maybe?

Take your self-righteous bullshit somewhere productive, not a site devoted to a video game. You picked literally the stupidest battlefield to have this debate. Who the fuck are you to tell people they're wasting their time? Seriously, you wanna talk about wasting time, typing that shit thinking people are going to agree with you seems much more pedantic...and wholly pointless.

there shouldn't even be a turn limit IMO.
they should at least make it longer now that people are hitting it though. I doubt it was ever intended for anyone to ever get that far.

I was very much enjoying my lengthy game. Just not the abrupt arbitrary ending.

Well, now you know why is Archivist Elysiana on the watch list

Darn you bored the blizzard servers to death with your control warrior .

i am pretty sure he meant he would bet a preorder and 100 more packs that it wont happen in pro events, nothing to do with how you get your cards
