Yeah sure, the specialist meta is totally not figured out and all the players have just missed that magic rogue counter that is not warrior ! Just look at the specialist tournament results, top 4 is almost always 4 rogues. I don't care if the ladder has one overpowered deck, but for tournaments it is very annoying to watch and to play if the rogue lineup has a too high of a winrate.
What's with all the <10 post sock accounts these days? Are people that afraid to voice their own opinions and need to pretend to have other people support them in order to feel like they are superior? Sheesh.... /smh
Wth is that supposed to mean? Accusing of multi-account is pretty lame, and not very welcoming to new forumers. It just happened that someone agreed with me, crazy huh?

Your account is almost a year old. You joined these forums in June last year. Or did you not realise it literally displays that for everyone to see? XD Not exactly a "new forumer", are you? Lol! Any more "excuses" for sock account usage? Or do you want to try and quietly slip out and hope nobody notices?

I don't quite understand what your point is, how is my acount age relevant? Am I not a new forumer if I start posting now? Am I more likely to create fake accounts if mine is old? Please enlighten me, because I can not see where you're going.
Or maybe don't, because this whole debate is out of the subject and I don't know why you brought it in the first place. I agree that it is easier to launch random accusations when you're out of arguments, but not very useful to those who are looking for a real debate.

The point was that it comes across as very suspect that as a new forumer, your first post/s (having not posted anything for a year) were direct argumentative comments, which is not generally good ettiquette for a new forum users in any case, but that's why it seems likely to be a sock account post. People dont usually join a forum and then wait an entire year before actually posting, and then using that opportunity to make a first impression by coming across as argumentative and disrespectful.
If you genuinely are a new user, as you say, and this is your only forum account, then fair enough - perhaps you'd find i better to engage in normal discussion first before confrontations. Just a suggestion.
But in any case, point has been made and moving on...
"At ranks 1-4, it has reached 30% of the field. While the legend meta early in the month is still in its diapers, it is telling when Lackey Rogue is nearing 35% of the field at higher levels of play. "

I have no trouble at all believing Rogues are over 30 percent of the field now. What I have trouble believing is that Blizzard has yet to announce a balance patch.

Solo adventure pre-release is on Tuesday and release is on Thursday. So, I wouldn't get my hopes up for nerfs before 21st.
Preparation now reads 0 Mana "Your next spell costs (3) less, but never less than (1)." => bye early VanCleef with ridiculous stats, good riddance t1 Prep + Raiding Party, no more 0 Mana Evis/FoK

I don't think it's right to punish all Rogue spells with that kind of nerf to Prep, and I think it destroys a long standing Rogue archetype, Miracle Rogue. I think a better nerf is to make Raiding Party cost 4 or even 5 mana. I don't think it's unreasonable to quantify the ability to tutor specific cards that have synergy, at least 1 or 2 mana. Look at AI - 3-mana draw two random cards. Raiding Party, 3-mana draw two specific cards (and combo: draw a specific weapon) is just nuts. It's not unreasonable to give this additional value a 1 or 2 mana bump.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
I think going so far as to alter game mechanics so Rogue always goes first is just silly. The coin is meant to even up matchups and taking the coin away from rogue would drastically cut its winrate regardless of what deck it was playing.
Preparation getting a nerf to (2) less is something I can see happening, and sending Raiding Party up to 4. Miscreant seemed so bad with the statline and the cost at first, but obviously Rogue bounce is very powerful, so sending Miscreant down to 4 mana for a start seems a good first step.
Waggle Pick also seems like an excessively aggressive card for Rogue, 8 damage over two turns and a bounce on Leeroy for 12 damage. Either it goes up to 5 or goes down to 3 attack.
I completely disagree with a hall of fame or nerf to Preparation
I used to hate Rogue. My friend's girlfriend played it all the time and she only made greedy high roll decks. When she played me she would steal the answer, or generate something bonkers right on time, or any sort of that stupid RnG. Some of you forget that for a while last year and the year before Rogue was a bit of a joke. Tempo was always decent, but the main line for Rogues was discover/long control to combo. It wasn't great and now they have the spotlight again with something cheaper and less long-winded.
Now that I can afford to play lots of decks I have tons of fun playing the class. In both wild and standard my decks rely heavily on Preparation. The standard Tempo Rogue and the wild Even Oil Pirate Rogue are gutted with any change to this card. There are some classic cards that just can't be touched; I think Prep is one of them. The identity of classes is more important to Blizzard now- they use it as arguments FOR their nerfs. Prep is probably the most iconic Rogue card because they are about combos and quick efficient plays with multiple steps. It would be like changing Northshire Cleric or Savage Roar or a classic class legendary... you remove so much power from the core of the class that eventually classes are blacklisted until expansions give them a full 15-30 playable cards. That just isn't right, nor is it fair to less experienced/F2P players.
Some of you forget that for a while last year and the year before Rogue was a bit of a joke.
When ??? Last year Rogue had Odd Rogue and year before that it had Quest Rogue and Keleseth Tempo Rogue.
I miss not going to consider odd/even because they were powerful in themselves not the classes. As far as Kele Rogue that was a high roll chance.
Tempo rogue was the best deck at the time, by quite a margin too after the nerfs. It wasn't highrolly at all. Keleseth on curve was just an added bonus to an already strong deck.
Specific classes utilized odd and or even and some didn't at all (hunter, druid, priest). To dismiss rogue's success on that is ridiculous.

There's also Master Tour Championship in Seoul, so if they'll nerf something, they'll do it after two months of the next expansion.

Hall of Fame Leeroy ( hope not) and Preparation, Maybe add 1 mana cost to waggle pick weapon or raiding party.. there all finished lol

35% of all matchs are rogue...
I would love to see the official Blizzard numbers on this. One of the most overplayed decks in hearthstone history was Undertaker Hunter during Naxxramas -- and that was only 25 percent. (https://www.hearthpwn.com/news/1740-undertaker-hunter-was-once-25-of-the-meta-other)

T1 Prep+Raiding Party would still work fine....
My bad, obvious error is obvious. Do you have something to add other than pointing it out?

Screw all other rogue cards, nerfing evil miscreant is enough. Make it 3 mana get 1 lackey
