Hey guys! Why the f*** when i said about Barnes too strong etc, some of you told me i was a f***tard and that Eternal Servitude is the real issue.. and once i give up and start saying that Barnes is not the problem, you actually say that i'm a f***tard and that Barnes is the real problem?
You're kidding me, right?
Welcome to a forum, in which different people have different views and opinions. Enjoy your stay.
As scorpyon said, delaying big priest's shenanigans by one or two turns even is immense for aggro and midrange decks.
And no, Barnes isn't easily replaceable, especially by just another big minion such as Ysera. People have tried running Barnes-less lists and failed. Not having Barnes means priests need to hard mulligan for Shadow essence and shadow essence only (as Shadow visions doesn't consistently give them that card). This is another big, if not massive, deal.
That's not what i meant. People just don't read all messages before replying. It's not a matter of opinions, since when i wrote a personal possible fix for Barnes, a user told me clearly that "NO, Barnes isn't the problem. period." putting so much effort in his argumentation. Then i went full mad and begun to write the opposite, people threating me like "WTF NO! Barnes IS the problem! What's wrong with you".
Then i'd be like: "Oh well, I wish there were a Single Player version of the forum". I shouldn't write here at all since is full of people and sometimes people shall be VERY rude. I always forget to think before writing on the internet :) It's just a loss of energies and tempo.
Funny. They put in a card that is obvious for fagitue prevention and then want to nerf due to games lasting longer. LOL.
Omega devastor while Dr Boom is till in, giving rouge a 4/2 weapon while they have weapon/pirate draw + a pirate that gets discounted for weapon .. Who would gess that this is strong being perfect mana curve ...
Underbelly angler is so powerful, especially as non legend, that it can win games alone by having any murloc combined. Who would have thought this gets murloc shaman on top.... This was obvious intentional. This card should be legendary. E.g. at 4 mana it would still be game defining.
I personal would HOF the last 3 Heros, preparation and nerf underbelly effect to be when a minion dies not is cast.
It isn’t about elysiana’s power level. Card is very balanced and interesting, but due to 8 mana cost it’s effect can be used multiple times with bounce effects. Just raise her cost to 9 mana and 99% of the problems will be fixed. It’s not like you play her on curve, elysiana will still stay viable and powerful.

shudderwock will still be able to play her again.
As will the coin also allow. Like I've said elsewhere, the card is fine as it is. This knee-jerking over her for some weird reason is just plain odd...
I personally have no problem with that extra time on games ... The card itself seems not OP it just prolonges control duels ... Mabe you give her battlecry that turns are now 15 seconds ^^
You think if you make Elysiana 9-mana, then control games will come down to whether you can force the other person to waste the coin or not?
I don't. I think that's kind of silly.
in regular play, probably not....in tournaments, most definitely. Then you'd have control mirrors purely decided by who gets the coin first, which sounds pretty awful....I mean it would decide games on a literal coinflip.
I mean if you went to a tournament in the specialist format and you're going into the control mirror....would you not include a package that basically WINS YOU THE GAME 50% of the time?
Make her 10-mana, bump her up to an 8/8 and add taunt. Boom, problem solved and the card is still playable
I for one do NOT want my mirror matches to be coin flips. What kind of world would this be if my deck is ONLY 50% to beat the same exact list of cards?

well, this nerf is not going to be about you, it's about the tournament scene where players play for REAL MONEY and therefore will use what is most likely to win them the game...and if a 50/50 is the best option then they'll take it

It....was said in jest......mirror matches by default are 50/50 and very much dependent on rng and card draw, so saying "whoever has the coin automatically wins, that makes mirror matches 50/50" is kind of missing the point.

Funnily enough, when it comes to Book Mage, that bolded part is actually often rather true. Not always, of course, but there is certainly an advantage having the coin to get your big giants out quickest.
well, Barnes isn't even the biggest problem in big preist now....
False. Completely false. The only reason that they can rez so many 8+ mana minions is because Barnes makes a copy of it and they keep rezzing. How da fuck else does Priest get anything on board by turn 8.
To be technical Big Priest gets so many minions out because of their cheap rez spells, not because of a single copy tutor minion. Also, Shadow Essence, while being 2 more mana, allows the priest to usually fetch two different minions to rez. Barnes also fetches one minion.
Just had such a long match with my shaman against control warrior playing baleful banker on Archivist. Normaly i win with a wide board before it goes over the library. But after seeing him armor up to over 30 controling the board i adapted, picking Archivist from blazing invocation, then picking witch brew with archivist ... needles sto say i had an archivist and shudder in the deck .... I won it with guess over 30 min playtime...
Knowing blizzard they are just gonna destroy the card. I imagine them making it cost 8 mana or changing the effect completely like making it summon a vanilla 1/1 that gains a minion's effect as a buff so that resurrect synergies are no longer possible
After playing a few games as Aggro token druid (with Goblin), I think Once they nerf Barnes there will be a hell lot of aggro decks unleashing from the pandora box as well. (Odd pally)
It has to be done carefully but since it's now in the middle of meta they couldn't add new cards to the pool.
I think that Elysiana will be changed towards "Discover a card 5 times. Replace your deck with a copy of each." to keep the identity of the card and at the same time lower his power level significantly. You'll keep the cost a 8 mana, but now bouncing or copying it will just give you the old Elysiana effect. Still, 5 turns of fatigue avoiding is still powerful, but it's not as mandatory as it is now.
Barnes, Bloodloom, Elysiana, Light the Fusers, Dr. Boom, Omega Devastator, Preparation, Raidng Party, Waggle Pick. All of them are a candidate for enrfs.

Just play mechathun and galvanizer instead of Elysiana and a bouncer
One 45 min match taught me this

I don't think Bloodbloom is that big of a deal, but Barnes should be nerfed. 6 mana barnes would be acceptable, still playable but not too oppressing.
