1. Warrior was in a bad spot for pretty long - oddwarrior was not even good at the start (pun not intendet) so let's give them a time to shine
2. the more important point is that you guys all play standart and i can see all the comments wild is wild i don't care - well there are people that care like i do and blizzard does to even if they don't make any comments to it otherwise they would never nerf aviana or naga sea witch. So look at the herocards and you realize that warrior had the worst hero of all classes and got one that is better than garosh but still weak compared to jaina, rexxar, guldan and to some extent malfurion and anduin. You sometimes have to compare cards to wild and not to standart because there you can see what cards were printed and what cards could be printed. Rogue got a 2 mana 3/4 with rush but nobody bats an eye but then they realize a card that was here almost a year and now its bonkers and everyone loses their minds. all in all just hang in there and wait.
3. all the nerfsuggestions but you guys don't even know how they balance and how the game works behind all the nice artwork, cardtexts and so on. Do you know why there are bad cards in the game ? if anyone who makes a nerfthread and knows why there are bad cards you have my respect but to all others - do your reserch. And yes it has something to do about this post.
4. Play tokendruid and stop complaining if you have a problem against warrior
It's less powerful that the top DKs, but much bettter than the balanced ones and the other heroes.
Being able to discover more Zilliax, Dyno-matic and Omega Devastators is just absurd, on top of them also having perma-Rush and while also having Omega Assembly. Maybe the Discover a Mech should be changed to simply "add a random mech".
The aura is also pretty busted with Warrior mechs being packed with removal. Very often it's two for one (and sometimes more). And not once, but at various times during the match.
We complained a lot about uninteractivity and more fights for board. One of the key aspects of this is combat initiative. Boom gives Warrior permanent combat initiative no matter what, and it's also unremovable with no counter play, very different from say, Houndmaster Shaw.
Should be - add a random mech. I think that would have been enough. There are too many good mechs available for warrior atm.
All in all. I totally agree. The card is too strong and wins games out of nowhere just like jaina or rexxar did. Nobody liked these cards as it is a value generator that cannot be stopped. It's just not fair for classes that don't have such a card. Value from this card is too high and it's power level is way above other cards in standard.
Agree, its a cancer card that alone wins you a game. You can play random cards + Dr. Boom and still win. Its 7 mana, gain 7 armor hero card. It should be 10 mana gain 5. It has idiotic OP rush aura, which makes board control impossible. Not to mention Warrior has the best AOEs in the game already. This deck is played by brainless idiots who suck at the game. Enough said.
I play a lot of warrior - this is completely reasonable imo. Playing Dr. Boom gives you infinite value for the rest of the game. You outlast any other control deck 9/10 times, you out value any value deck 9/10 times, and you out-armor aggro decks a lot of the time. It does too many things too well - I agree maybe the hero power isn't the problem, it's probably that it turns your infinite value (random mechs off hero power and omega assembly) into infinite removal.
I agree that this belongs in the salt thread. The card is not that bad due to the hero power being random. yes, the armor gain is annoying and the discover-able mechs are a bit OP at times with them having rush, but I don't think its bad enough to warrant a nerf. If you are getting constantly beaten by it, then play something that can out value it. Currently, I have seen aggro decks such as the infamous Token Druid take it down easily. I am playing Lucentbark Druid to counter it. Deathrattle Mech Hunter works well. Just need to find something to work around it.
Classic case of overcompensation by Team 5. Dr. Boom, Mad Genius is fine. It's a legendary hero card with a strong effect. The problem is that Team 5 decided to dump a mechtric ton of synergy cards into Warrior's card pool so now everything around the hero card got much stronger.
Yes, if not for the new omega mech the hero don't will be so much problem.
Warrior has fallen from the number 1 class to 4th in less than 2 weeks since the expansion has dropped. Dr. Boom is powerful no doubt, powerful cards are what make the game interesting. If we normalize everything to a 50% win rate we will just have decks of chillwind yeti's. Blizzard never nerfed Rexxar which was allowing Hunter to single handily win mid-range and control matchups, I doubt Dr. Boom is in their crosshairs.
Not to mention that when it's discover, the chance that they find Omega Devastator is actually pretty absurdly high, seeing as it is a class mech from current expansion. There are only 4 total warrior mechs this expansion, and only 1 of them is actually bad to discover in Vicious Scraphound. To add to that there is only 1 neutral mech in this set, which is Hecklebot, which becomes fine, and even randomly REALLY good to just sometimes get and disrupt the opponent, especially when it has rush.
So due to the way occurrence bonuses work for discover, the chances that you get a really good mech off your hero power roughly once every four turns to just out-muscle a lot of the other classes are actually fairly high.
What a load of hogwash. OP wants to nerf so his pet deck can be T1 60% instead of Bomb Warrior? Always going to be a T1 60% deck, buddy, sorry it's not yours, time to steel up.

What problem are we talking about, though?
Warrior is pretty low on the list of successful decks. It's a bit of a stretch to call it oppressive at this time.
(And I was one who did express some concern over the card's infinite value coming into the rotation. It honestly doesn't seem that bad now.)

Zap is fine, Delivery Drone could work, Blast shield would be better at 5 at best
I'm still adamant that making the hero powers a fixed cycle instead of random ones would be enough of a nerf
I tried having fun once. It was awful.

just hall of fame this fkin hero cards, they ruined hearthstone for so long. should have gone to hall of fame with baku and genn....

CRUISIN YEEEAH! CRUISIN USA!
the problem with dr boom is that he is dr 7. they can not really make his cost or stats anything but 7 because of his reputation as being the 7 guy.
Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
please stop crying about cards needing nerfs hearthpwn

Current homebrew variations of decks:
I'm ok with the "when you play a mech, give it rush" nerf.
Still powerful and synergistic, but a bit less oppressive.

Dr. Boom didn't need to be nerfed before rotation, why now? Just because it's a somewhat unique card with the DKs gone?
This would be a terrible nerf. If anything the bomb mechanic is much more deserving.

And after nerfing all cards, nerf all cards again, because they will all be imbalanced still ;)

This nerfing B.S. never ends...
