Pretty straight forward. It would be really cool if blizzard made a contract or ToS that sites can't post winrates of decks in the first week of an expansion. It is pretty sad for me to see, how fast people craft specific decks, just because they seem to have an OP winrate. I would love to have a longer experimentation phase. I'm also really amazed about the speed, that people start playing the same decks. 12 hours into the game and half of the people were already playing bomb after bomb after bomb. Are people that scared of trying to build their own deck, with just the cards you pull? Why does winning mean so much (at the start of an expansion), that you rather craft those deck in literally one day after the expansion hits?
That's why i would like the idea of disabling the deck tracking during that start period. The meta will take a lot longer to settle that way, as people try more stuff and can't see the overall winrate of a deck. They can just see their own results. Obviously the meta will shift after the reenable the trackers, but that's another story.
What do you think of this idea? And on a 2nd note, does anybody know if that is even possible, from the coding, i am no IT-expert :P
People don't care about winning. Dust is just not infinite. Give 100k dust to everyone, i'm sure no one will play the top meta deck and people will try funny deck with all the cards available. Unfortunately, dust is scarce and hard to collect, that's why you only craft a deck that can be played in the long run aka top tier decks.
Why does winning mean so much that you can't face same decks in first week of expansion?
Well it does not. But you see, take warrior for example. There are currently 443 different cards, that it can use. Resulting in the binomial coefficient of 443 over 30, (if you don't take duplicates!). Using a calculator, that is 34056950151353284252864705340925765947324035416 different possible decks. And u face only 1. I would like to see more than one composition of cards. Variety is fun.
Why does winning mean so much that you can't face same decks in first week of expansion?
Hate to call you out bud, but OP didn't say anything about losing a lot or wanting to win.
It honestly just sucks to fight the exact same predefined deck 20 times in a row that just tries to minimize the amount of time you're trying to have fun, while you yourself are still trying to figure out what Blizzard wants you to do with Priest :T

I understand, but like someone else wrote you, people are limited with dust, so they can only make few decks when the expansion starts, and they have already seen streamers play some decks and learned to pilot them by watching the streamers, so it's safest for them to craft those decks.
and maybe people are missing a card or two from that netdeck, or want to tech up against something so they change 2-3 cards in the deck, are they still all running the same deck?
and what is an unique deck that they should run - some meme decks, or yet undiscovered synergies?

you are right, I am just bored and want to talk to people, but in honesty I am not really that much interesting, so I don't really have something useful to say, and then I can only get some attention in most inappropriate ways.

What the actual fuck dude. You want people to just throw random stuff into the deck?
Oh I'm playing Mech Hunter so I'll put Nozdurmu, Nat Pagle, Ysera and a couple of auctioneers because I want my deck to be different.
What you're advocating for is nothing short of internet censorship. how about no.
What? It's not. It's blizzard's game, they have all the rights and have the possibility to forbid every addon you could use. I am pretty sure they won't do it, because it is just too much effort, but let me have my little bubble.

we also have now autocomplete the deck from hs
But i question you my man, if people are short on dust, why would you EVER craft a deck day one? When your dust is really limited, i would definately wait for a deck i REALLY want to play and that performs well in the more settled meta. Also people have card's from the previous expansions, there are A LOT of cards that weren't good in the past and are almost forgotten, even if they could be good now.

Then you need to ask Blizzard to build better sets.

By no means, i said that you have that many playable decks, but if you only put one copy of a card into your deck, this is the amount of decks warrior can play, means there are even more and also about the same for all other classes.
By no means i said that even 5% of them would be good. But i wanted to show you the number, which is quite impressive in my eyes.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
I really appreciated the way the last few sets gave out freebie/login legendaries. Everyone got a random class assigned to them. Everyone got something different. Rastakahn even gave out rares that went with the legendaries.
Now a lot of those people may have decided to dust it and/or craft the 1 metadeck anyway, but it seemed to help people make a deck of their assigned class, and added a little to the diversity, in my educated guess-based opinion :/
This expansion just threw a neutral at everyone, one that mostly only benefited very few aoe and non-targetting spell-decks :/ At least in my eyes, I have no clue what to do with this thing... And at that point everyones just gonna ignore it and make what they think is the best deck. And what everyone thinks is the best deck is generally controlled by popular streamers and this very website
Alas This sets freebie legendary sorta sucked for meta diversity

People are still going to craft the deck they see people like Kripp or Thijs play and win with.
Card games are like that and it wont change, deal with it or find a better genre.
Never going to happen.
For one thing, I'm sure you're in the minority. For another, it's not worth Blizzard's time to police such a thing.

People can't get over their ego to play a fun meme deck or try their own ideas out

but I am still a good person
If you don't want to see the same deck play Casual. I'm sure you're bound to run into a Meme deck.
If you're laddering? You get what you sign up for.

* Most cards are weak (cards like Arcane Servant, Dr. Boom's Scheme, Unidentified Contract).
* A large percentage of the cards require synergies that we don't have - yet (Hench-Clan Hag, Hunting Party, EVIL Conscripter).
* A small percentage of the cards do have the synergies now - we play those (Plot Twist, Clockwork Goblin, Toxfin).
* A few cards are just good on their own - we'll play those now and the rest of the year (Zilliax, Archivist Elysiana, Convincing Infiltrator).
